art teachers in schools might also take it-- there was a bunch from my grandma's church's storage room that was cut into odd lengths too short to really do much with and an art teacher my mom knew was happy to take it
@EliseRoseCrochet I can imagine! It would be for me as well! I am such a cry baby though, probably would have been a blubbering fool standing there. LOL You look stunning! Definitely a picture for a frame!
Nearly 70 and still watch LHOTP dvds, when I need a break from this crazy world we live in now. Grew up in New Zealand watching this show on tv on a Sunday night. Had a friend visit she's 76 and we had wee binge watch . Loved it. We need more programmes like that again. Love your videos. Thanks for all the great ideas.
I throw absolutely NOTHING away when it comes to yarn pieces. Now, all yarn that I would have tossed in the garbage is instead put into a little ziploc bag. I save everything from fuzz to tiny snipped off ends. I buy size newborn baby socks, and when I get enough pieces to 'stuff' a baby sock, I fill it with the yarn pieces and add some dried catnip. You just stitch up the end. These were my cats favorite toys. Sadly, my cat passed almost a year ago, but I'm still saving my little bags of 'stuffing'. I know animal shelters can use these toys.
I make crocheted catnip toys and they take so very little yarn. I use up my scraps this way. And I donate them to a local cat rescue group. Have been doing this for five years now. Each cat that gets adopted out gets one of my catnip toys plus food and other supplies that go with the adoption. it warms my heart! ♥️
The magic knot...I have been hearing about it and thought I should look into it. This is great. Outside of textiles it is called the fisherman's knot. It probably has several other names. In jewelry making it is used on cording to make adjustable necklaces. I should have realized knitters and crocheters would find it useful as well.
The issue with the magic knot is that if you clip the ends too close to the knot it will come undone, sometimes while working the item, but often in the wash after the item is finished. I prefer using the weaver's knot. You can clip the ends right up against the knot so there is nothing sticking out, and it won't come undone.
I inherited a HUGE bag of scraps. Brand new yarn cut into short lengths and in several different colours, for a crafting project. A lady I knew passed away and her family didn’t want the yarn and my yarny heart just couldn’t throw them away. So, I joined some of them using an overhand knot and ended up with a large ball full of knots (the lengths were too short to keep weaving them in). I paired this with a contrasting colour and crocheted a wrap, using a V stitch, with a border in the contrasting colour. It was really pretty and the ends that we’re showing just added to the character of the wrap. As I write this more lengths are being knotted together (I drafted in help). I will make more wraps that will go to a homeless charity this coming winter. Thank you for sharing your video.
I just purged my stash and donated like 5 garbage bags of yarn that I haven't touched in a long time. I love Jada in stitches. She was one of the 2 channels I started watching when I started crocheting.
Big congrats on meeting Melissa Gilbert!!! The chicken is so lovely too! I just started to learn how to crochet and your channel seems so lovely and encouraging!
I love Jayda too! She was actually the first crochet you tube channel I ever watched and I watch her to this day. She also has a tutorial for a big beautiful basket and I have made several using my scraps of yarn tied together. And you met toni Lipsey and Melissa Gilbert?!? How fun!!❤❤❤
I make "confetti blankets". It started with a bunch of yarn scraps jumbled together, and I set out to untangle them. At times, the tangles were just too tough to untangle, and I resorted to scissors. I took all these odd lengths of yarn, joined them together and made cuddle blankies for me great nieces. I started with a hexagon and just worked it up as a giant granny hexagon, with all the colura in there. The girls love them, and im working on one for their mum for Christmas. Her favourite colour is blue, so ive actually bought several skeins of blue yarn in different shades to keep that as the main colour. Other colours were chosen because they have an underlying blue tone. Ill have to find something else to work on for now, though, as it's got too warm for crocheting with a blanket in my lap. Hmm, maybe squares for a blanket for my sister?
I think your UA-cam channel is single handedly reigniting my joy and wonder in crochet. Your excitement and joy on the screen is infectious. Thank you for sharing.
You always put together such fabulous lists of projects. I want to make them all!❤ And how many of us wanted to be Laura and live on the prairie? Me!!!😂
The magic knot reminds me of the knots I used to use to tie two spools of baling twine together for the hay baler. We called it the fisherman’s knot 😊 Love how ranching and crochet worlds collide
OMG! I loved that show and I had a crush on Michael Landon, Melissa"s TV dad. So glad you got to meet her. My favorite was the cat and the second was the Seaside Stash Busting Blanket. I can.t wait to start. I love your enthusiasm. It is so addicting that it really motivates me when I'm in a slump. Thank you so much.
I've actually been saving all of my scrap yarns, because once I finish all the worsted weight WIP's that I started and never finished, I have a plan for them. My Grandmother was a crocheter, like me, but she was also a quilter. She made crazy quilts for all of her adult, married children out of scrap fabric from their lives. Once she got her adult children's quilts made, she started making quilts for her grandchildren. As I'm the oldest, I received the first of those, I got mine for Christmas just after I turned 16. Mine wasn't a crazy quilt, it was a Granny's Fan quilt based off of my favorite color, purple. Well, I intend to use all of my worsted weight yarn (or as much as I need to finish the project!) to make a crazy quilt Afghan blanket. I don't know how big I intend to make it, and it's going to have all different colors in it, from light to dark, colors that match and colors that don't. I plan to do this by assigning each color with a crochet stitch, or at least, that's one of my ideas... I haven't completely decided yet. But it will be made entirely of scrap yarn, with black as the border, both between each stash block and around the entire blanket.
I absolutely love these scrappy yarn ideas and definitely there are ones I wouldn't have thought of in here! Thank you for sharing. Also I'm so happy you got to meet Melissa Gilbert :) Such a wonderful moment!
Oh my goodness- I can’t believe you met Melissa Gilbert! And how fun that you ended up with her quilted chicken! Thank you so much for the mention. You are right about the chickens… They are definitely a “thing” at the moment. ❤
I love scrapyarn projects. And people actually bring me bags of it 😂😂😂 You have chosen a lovely selection!!! ❤ My go-to is shawls but my favorite for the moment is 'granny squares with a circle in the middle', even small scraps will work 😊 The magic knot works fine, BUT do not cut the ends close, especially if it's acrylic. The yarn moves when washed and too often the knots open. Leave a small tail, so the knot doesn't open and slide as easily, when wet... and just weave it into the next stitches. 😊
I put some of my scraps aside to use as “waste yarn” when I sometimes use my circular knitting machine. But I think I will now make that granny square blanket. I needed this video right now, because I have soooooo many scraps to use up before buying more yarn.
Little House is my favorite tv show! The theme song instantly brings joy! So awesome you got to meet Melissa Gilbert! I’m glad you won the autographed chicken too! My favorite pattern to make is the Mabel chickens from Oak & Marlo! I use up scraps by making blankets to donate to an animal shelter. I use 2 strands held together & just let the colors come out however they do.
U never disappoint lovely Elsie,💗💗💗 fantastic video, inspiring ideas great magic knot instruction and OMG u met Melissa Gilbert !!!!💗 And won her signed chicken !!!!! And yet u somehow controlled yourself by hugging her with only one arm !!!!!! I would have been a crazy 2 armed hugger that she would need to have got removed !!!😂 Little house on the prairie was a great part of our lives in the 70's so many of us wanted to b Laura.❤ Thank u Elise for being so real and honest !!!💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏🧶🧶🧶
I had no idea Melissa Gilbert has a fabric line! Mabel the chicken is such a great pattern...I made several for a show and sold all of them. I also gave one to my mom. :) Speaking of Little House, did you see the videos over on Just Vintage Crochet of the shawls that Caroline wore and a few of the bonnets the girls wore? So much fun! I watched that show growing up but didn't really pay attention to all the crochet in it! There's quite a bit.
Good Morning Elise, this is a fantastic video. I love all the projects but definitely a few stood out for me. Also, I have been using the yarn join method for several years and it’s the only one I do. The granny shawl was my very first shawl I made and actually still have it. I think it was about 5 years ago that I made this. Jayda’s blanket might be on the hook soon as well as that rug. I think I purchased Mable as well but have yet to make it. Butttt man o man do I love that kitty.. I may have to purchase that one. And of course those cherries and strawberries.. and I loved Melissa Gilbert as Laura Engles… a favorite show back in the 70’s, I had no idea she was making fabrics. I’ll have to check it out but I don’t sew. Anyway, excuse the novel, just so much fun packed in the 15 minute video. Have a wonderful day. Thank you
If you have scraps of dk or fingering weight yarns, you can make mittens or socks, esp for those who knit as well like me! It's a great way to make a pair striped socks or mittens! When snipping off the ends of yarns while weaving them in, I collect them in a bag & save for stuffing plush! Summer Lee has great videos for those interested in knitting socks since she's a pretty well-known sock designer.
What I've been doing with my scraps is keep them together in a bag, and when the bag gets full, I join them all together into a franken-yarn ball, and I've been working on a moss stitch blanket with all of it. It's like a "2024 in yarn" thing and its already nearly 3/4 of a regular blanket length
That is so cool that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert, won a giveaway and got her autograph! I saw a few projects to make with my scrap yarn!! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great rest of your weekend! 🧶🙂😘💕
Hi from another North Carolinian. I love your channel and this episode was great since I am sitting on a fair amount of scraps or one-off skeins. I think the scrappy granny shawls are my favorite but the cat is wonderful too. So many good ones. If I ever run into you at a yarn event, I promise to be mindful of your body language. That story was a hoot! Thanks for another fun episode!
I love your chicken! I have been using scraps to make flowers for years. Since you're a fan of Attic24, i was inspired by her beautiful flower wreaths and so i just make many different types of flowers with my scraps and then when I have enough i use them to make a wreath. I have also used scraps to make larger bouquets of flowers for my desk. I think flowers are great way to use up scraps. I'm surprised you didn't mention baby clothes. Wee tiny booties and wee tiny hats are perfect for scraps. Things like baby sweaters and whatnot can use more than just scraps but little booties and hats don't take much yarn and i bet you could make some beautiful color combos for them by using that magic join method. I still rely mostly on flowers but you have inspired me to try the bunting.
My fave project that I’m inspired to do : lemon peel washcloth and the earrings! Also that beautiful vertical striped hat ! I love all your ideas and the magic knot was super helpful too
As a caveat with the magic knot, don't use it with slippery yarns like Caron Simply Soft. It comes undone very easily and you'll be sobbing when your knots come undone. I've had it come undone several times with that yarn. If you do, I'd recommend still leaving tails to weave in or using fabric glue.
My crochet buddy just made 7 of those fuzzy chickens. I suggested that she work a weight of some kind in with the stuffing of one of them to use as a doorstop. A freezer zip top bag of sand in the middle of the Polyfil worked. It also made it more stable for sitting around anywhere. I bought one of those selections of small skeins(17 of them) on line. Not suitable for amigurumi, so I'm going to use them for a double strand granny square "something."
Ooooh! I have done 2strand and even 3 strand before…3strand is great for rugs since I seem to have twice as much white scrap balls, I have used a constant white strand with and any other color I pick up…the white makes a muted effect all the way through. BUT,.. I am very stoked about the bunting!! Looks so cute, just think, 4th July, beachy bunting, fall! Halloween, Christmas with sparkle yarn.. oooValrntineones’mmlavender and yellow for Easter…Marduk Gras….FUN FUN FUN😜🤗😃🤪🥰
Hi Elise thanks for sharing all the gorgeous things loved it.great you got to meet Melissa Gilbert I am a huge fan of little house I have all the box sets.watch it a lot.your blanket you started is amazing.thanks again Elise.💝💝💝
I'm loving all these projects. I used to crochet about45 years ago but life came along & dragged me kicking & screaming into other things. It's one of those things I wish I would have made time for but now that I'm retired I want to get back into it, hopefully the arthritis in my hands won't be too much of a hindrance. These projects look like the very things I needed to use to practice stitches. So glad I found you. (I too am in North Carolina!)‼☺
So much goodness to take part in this video ! Ughh! Thank goodness for my yarn stash 😊 I do love the granny square blanket you shared too. That was huge you got to meet Melissa Gilbert! 😮 Yes, to the adorable Mabel chicken! I had to make some too! Thank you so much for sharing with us! Have an amazing crafty weekend!
I have been crocheting for about 8 years now, and I have built up a small collection of scraps. Some are big, and some are miniscule. These are wonderful ideas to use them. I think my two favorites are the scrap pillow and the scrap granny blanket. Those would be wonderful gifts. I also loved Little House on the Prairie and am so jealous that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert! Congrats on winning the signed chicken! I would love to see a video about the craft conference you went to. I have never heard of it and would like hear your impressions of it.
Thank you so much!! And those are such beautiful projects! The conference is called H+H Americas and it was amazing! I didn't take any video of it, but I'll be going next year for sure! 🧶🧶🧶
my favorite is definitely either the pillow or the granny square blanket!! It was a perfect time to make this video because i am making a pair of scrappy pair of knit socks while i watched this video. Great job 👍👍
Elise, what a delightful video!!! Love the projects!!! How fabulous that you had the opportunity to meet Meliss Gilbert in person!!! The Chicken you won is AWESOME!!!! Thank you for this fantastic video!!!!
Love that chickens are having a moment right now. I have called my kids my little chickens since they were teeny tiny. Funny you have Mabel on your list because she’s been in my cart for a few weeks. Haven’t bit the bullet because I have zero chenille and would have to get a hook for it too. Not ready for that since I’ve only been crocheting for a few weeks now.
Hi Elise and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your UA-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
Thank you so much, Samantha! I just finished the Fever Dream blanket and now I'm finishing a couple of amigurumi toys and moving onto a new design! ❤️❤️❤️
I am working on my first ever afghan "expert" pattern learning a lot about myself and this Wedding ring pattern.and I learned how to do the knots to help fix my mistakes. And I love it. I want to share a pic of my so far.. between now and July 5th I will be making a lot of adjustments and fixes. 😂😂❤
I just can't choose what scrap project I like best. Thanks for the inspiration. I have a lot of scraps. So cool you got to meet Melissa Gilbert. I am 55, so I definitely used to watch Little House on the Prairie back in the day. I just love the chicken you won. After I finish this lacy modern granny square blanket for my friend in Australia. I'm starting on a scrap project. 👍❤
Hi Elise! I love Mabel the chicken! You showed so many beautiful pieces. I love making shawls. So I think the Granny Shawl might be my favorite! I also really enjoy almost anything Jayda Institches but I don't care for doubling up worsted weight yarn. Maybe a lighter weight in that pattern for a blanket would work for me! Always love the energy and positive vibes in your videos! Thank you!
I love the triangle bunting and the coastal crochet blanket! I'm only now starting to accumulate scraps, so we'll see when it's time to use them. Also, great magic knot tutorial - I've seen other videos but they all looked intimidating. Your explanation was clear and seems doable.
Love, love, love ❤️ your videos! You make my day happy 😊. The lil frogs, wonderful chickens, and the granny square pillow, just to name three are amongst my favorites. Do you ever have an Open House Venue? The Carolinas are in my travel plans in 2025.
Heck yeah I know Melissa Gilbert! I love Little House on the Prairie, even though I am Gen Z. I was blessed to grow up watching it! But I didn't know she was a crafter!
After my mom passed I was going through her crochet boxes, I found a blanket with the double strand-different colors like Maria’s Blue Crayon. It’s so beautiful and heavy. I miss my mom, but her love of crochet and teaching me when I was younger connects me to her. Oomazingpaige has a cute granny squares crochet Kindle/Book cover. I made it with all my scraps and I love it. Thanks for all the other ideas. I still have more I need to use. Happy Summer Crocheting and Knitting 😊❤
So many great ideas! I recently purchased the Mabel Chicken pattern so I’m so glad you included it! I’m a chicken mama who loves her chickens! ❤ I will be making 3 of them to give to my daughter in law because she had to give her real ones away when she got sick. Since these require no care😉, she can at least have a flock she can hug!😁
Thank you for all the great ideas. I have made a number of requested items and gifts in colors I don't normally use. These are great projects to use them up. And thanks for the magic knot lesson. 😊
Oh my Goodness!!! I'm so happy for you that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert!! That's awesome! I think I would try to make the little chicken...lol So darn cute! Thanks for sharing and keep that chicken safe! It's a wonderful memory!
I love the chicken project! I might have to try it with some strands held together as well. My second favorite would have to be the rugs. I like how holding that many strands together can make some very random colors---you just don't know what color will pop out! Third favorite is probably the granny square blanket you showed at the beginning! Thanks for sharing--I'm definitely getting the chicken pattern as I have 6 chickens of my own and just adore them!
Perfect timing! I was gifted a bunch of yarn by a friend who was destashing. Very kind. There are mostly one skein. I was contemplating what to use them for and voila! You have given me so many good options. I think I will start with the cat toy because a friend's little girl has a birthday in August. I love all the projects. Your channel is a blessing. ❤
How exciting that you won the chicken and met Melissa Gilbert! Such great ideas here. When I reorganized I put together a big basket of variegated yarns and made a cool blanket using all of them plus four skeins of black. The random mixture and the black together were dramatic. But I told myself not to buy variegated again because I don't use it.
It’s so exciting that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert. I love all these ideas. I have yarn scraps galore. I hate to throw them out. I’m not sure which one of the projects you mentioned is my favorite because I liked them all, but, the first one I’m going to make is the granny squares blanket. I have so many scraps I can join together and I also have extra skeins of cream and black yarn to go around them. Perfect 👍🏻 Thank you so much for the great ideas.
Oh my goodness, what a cute video and an even cuter story about Melissa Gilbert! Yup, I remember her in that series “ Little House on the Prairie “…… What a throw back to my childhood! 😍
What a wonderful idea about using two strands of yarn, to create a super unique and warm granny square blanket. It will be added to my ‘Must Do’. list. Thanks for this!
Another great way to use yarn scraps is to make lap blankets and donate them to nursing homes/ assisted livings. I work for a mobile x-ray company. The residents can use lap blankets to go outside when it's chilly if they use a wheelchair. The blanket is short enough to still be warm and cover their legs, but not long enough to get caught in the wheels. They love that!
Both of my sons, who are now 20 to 30 plus, know Little House on the Prairie. Our families on both sides have continually watched it over the years. It's on MeTv and Roku, probably Amazon. I hope the generation coming up today gets exposure to it. It's such a timeless, classic show. I would have been excited to meet Melissa Gilbert too. Lucky you, getting the photo and the signed chicken!
I personally use my yarn scraps as stuffing for my amigurumi. I cut them into smaller pices and scrunch them up a bit, bonus points if the yarn is rough 😊
I've been making those blankets Maria makes since I was 5 years old, 55 now and they look fantastic, everyone wants one, plus super warm... I love scrap yarn it's my favorite kind.
I remember little house on the prairie! My mum loved that tv show. I just came to say that My husband was from North Carolina, and that I love your videos XD
as a childcare worker, many childcare centers would love donations of little yarn scraps for the children to use in arts and crafts.
What a great idea!! Thank you for sharing!!! 🧶🧶🧶
art teachers in schools might also take it-- there was a bunch from my grandma's church's storage room that was cut into odd lengths too short to really do much with and an art teacher my mom knew was happy to take it
I'm so jealous that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert!! I STILL watch Little House every day, while I crochet, that's my "me time"!
It was a dream come true for me!! 🐓
@EliseRoseCrochet I can imagine! It would be for me as well! I am such a cry baby though, probably would have been a blubbering fool standing there. LOL You look stunning! Definitely a picture for a frame!
I love her im the same age as her. @@EliseRoseCrochet

I put the little scraps in a baggie. When it is full, I give it to a preschool. They love my scraps.

Great idea...😽😻😸
I love this so much! So sorry about your kitty 💛 I am going to get some baby socks and follow your example. Thank you for sharing.
Brilliant!!
That is such a beautiful thing to do! I have a big place in my heart for rescue kitties! 🐱🐱
Oh, that is great! I’d like to do that! How do you crochet the toys? Do you have a tutorial that I can look up?
The magic knot...I have been hearing about it and thought I should look into it. This is great. Outside of textiles it is called the fisherman's knot. It probably has several other names. I like that the knots became a feature
I just purged my stash and donated like 5 garbage bags of yarn that I haven't touched in a long time.
I love Jada in stitches. She was one of the 2 channels I started watching when I started crocheting.
That is awesome! 🧶🧶🧶

Jayda has amazing tutorials!! And meeting Toni and Melissa Gilbert at the same event was like 🤯
13:15 ooo yess I have Mabel! I made one for my mom and am about to make one for my grandma
She's sooo cute! 🐓

I learned how to make baskets, and I love her hooded cloak. She is an excellent teacher. Jada that is.
I think your UA-cam channel is single handedly reigniting my joy and wonder in crochet. Your excitement and joy on the screen is infectious. Thank you for sharing.
I have ton of yarn scraps, and I decided to make some flower bookmarks and I'll donate it to my kids school and local library! ❤

Loved the cat and chicken. I'm just learning to crochet in my retirement years, I have a long way to go, my eyes aren't what they use to be.
The cat and the chicken are so fun! 🐱🐔🧶
I would have been a crazy 2 armed hugger that she would need to have got removed !!!😂 Little house on the prairie was a great part of our lives in the 70's so many of us wanted to b Laura.❤
Thank u Elise for being so real and honest !!!💗💗💗🙏🙏🙏🧶🧶🧶
Thank you so much!! It was such an amazing moment! 🧶🧶🧶
Great ideas. Omg to meet Melissa Gilbert. I would have been the same way. I would have been hugging her.
Yes!!! I laughed so hard when I saw the photo of her moving away from me!! I'm sure I seemed like a crazy person!! 🤣🤣🤣
The Mabel chicken pattern is quick, easy and the cutest thing I have ever seen n my life
Sooo cute!! 🐓🐓🐓
I love the Melissa Gilbert story! I LOVE LHOTP and I remember devouring the books as a child. I just bought a new set for my daughter to read. 💜💜💜
I haven't seen those videos!!! Thank you for sharing!!! I'll have to check it out!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love Mabel! Thanks for sharing your Melissa Gilbert story. I grew up watching “half pint” too. ❤️🧁
She was my favorite!!! 🐓🐓🐓
I love little house on the prairie! I’m only thirteen but I love it
It's such a wonderful show and the books are even better!! ❤️🐓🧶
Thank you
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed all the projects!! The scrap cat just makes me happy!! 🐱
The chicken and the cat. I will be making those. And the pillow... too many great ideas to choose and crochet. :)
So many projects, so little time! 🧶🧶🧶
Great episode! So cool that you met Melissa and she signed your chicken!!! Peace and Blessings 🌻🧶
Thank you!! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience! 🧶🧶🧶
I love that idea so much!!!! 🧶🧶🧶
That is so cool that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert, won a giveaway and got her autograph! I saw a few projects to make with my scrap yarn!! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great rest of your weekend! 🧶🙂😘💕
It was an incredible moment for me! 🧶❤️🐓
Lol!! I was totally oblivious to her body language!! 🤣🤣🤣
Such good ideas! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Congrats on your chicken win!🐔 I grew up on Little House too so I understand your excitement
Haha!! I just couldn't believe my luck that day!! 🐓🐓🐓
My fave project that I’m inspired to do : lemon peel washcloth and the earrings! Also that beautiful vertical striped hat ! I love all your ideas and the magic knot was super helpful too
I'm so glad it was helpful! 🧶🧶🧶
I always worry about it coming loose when the item gets washed 😢
Thank you so much for sharing that!! 🧶🧶🧶
Might be worth doing a small test like a dishcloth to see what happens! 🧶🧶🧶
I might be crazy but I’m going to test the magic know with a quick hit of flame to “melt” fibers. We’ll see…I might make a mess!😂
Both of my daughters really like to have whatever I make and of course the littles must all have the same thing 😉
That's so wonderful!! Your family sounds so supportive of your crafting! 🧶🧶🧶
What a great idea!! Thanks for sharing! 🐓🐓🐓
So many ways to use up scraps and the bunting is such a fun idea!!! 🧶🧶🧶🧶
I love Melissa Gilbert! I'm so happy for you that you had gotten to meet her.🥰
It was a dream come true!! ❤️
This was a lifesaver! You never fail to save the day, Elise!
Thank you!! 🧶🧶🧶
Great chicken story, Elise! Those Mabel chickens are adorable. 🐔
Thank you, Crystal!!! It was such a fun moment! 🐓🐓🐓
Hi Elise thanks for sharing all the gorgeous things loved it.great you got to meet Melissa Gilbert I am a huge fan of little house I have all the box sets.watch it a lot.your blanket you started is amazing.thanks again Elise.💝💝💝
Thank you!! I have the book set too! 🧶🧶🧶
Wonderful!! Welcome back!! 🧶🧶🧶
Those chickens are too darn cute, I love them!!!!! I love your channel!!!!!
I can’t wait for you to try Tunisian crochet! It’s so much fun to do and super easy as well! You’ll love it! ❤ 😊
I can't wait!!!!!!! 🙌
Thank you!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
I love the scrappy cats 🐈 😍 And the linen stitch scrap rug!
They are both great projects! 🧶❤️🐱
Thank you so much! That’s so cool you met Melissa Gilbert I am totally of that certain age. 😊😊😊
I just couldn't believe it!!!! My little 8-year-old self was so excited!! 🙌
All the scrap projects end up beautiful no matter the type.
That’s hilarious about M.G. Thanks for the fresh ideas on scrap crochet projects! 💗
It was the strangest and most unexpected thing!! But I was so excited!! I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day! 🐓🤣❤️🧶
This scrap yarn blanket is beautiful and genius!
Thank you!! 🧶🧶🧶
I watch your videos every time you post them on your channel it encourages me to work hard and keep myself focused on my projects 😊
Thank you so much!! 🧶🧶🧶
No you're not insane Its nice to win things Great Video
Thank you!! I was sooooo excited!! 🐓❤️🧶
my favorite is definitely either the pillow or the granny square blanket!! It was a perfect time to make this video because i am making a pair of scrappy pair of knit socks while i watched this video. Great job 👍👍
Awesome! Those are great projects!! ❤️❤️❤️
I use my scraps to make scrapghans with the moss stitch. All of my grands have one. I make smaller lapghans for our local nursing homes.
That's wonderful! 🧶🧶🧶
😍Beautiful Projects! I so Love this video. Thank you so much for sharing with us 💕
You are so welcome! ❤️
Elise, what a delightful video!!! Love the projects!!! How fabulous that you had the opportunity to meet Meliss Gilbert in person!!! The Chicken you won is AWESOME!!!! Thank you for this fantastic video!!!!
Thank you!!! The chicken was such a wonderful surprise!!! 🐓🐓🐓
It's such a cute project and what a sweet pet name! 🐓🐓🐓
I have never considered hens to be cute. But Mable OMG 😱😱 I'm in love
Right????? Soooo cute!!! 🐓🐓🐓
Me neither but I just found a crochet free pattern and I’m going to try make it 😬
Hi Elise and right now I am working on my cottage core mosaic blanket and granny squares blanket and butterfly mosaic blanket and I love your channel and your videos and if you keep making videos I will keep watching them and what is your favorite crochet project to work on right now and favorite types of yarn to used when crocheting and keep up the great work on your UA-cam channel and keep up the great work on your crochet projects
Wow!!! Sounds beautiful!! ❤️❤️❤️
So lovely to see one if my favourites, Eleonora, in your list! I have taken one of her classes and she is so encouraging and wonderful in real life ❤
I love all these videos about using up scraps 💕
Thank you!! 🧶🧶🧶
That's wonderful! 🧶🧶🧶
I have made one of Jayda's double strand granny blanket. It's so much fun. And I love her channel also.
She really does have a great channel! 🧶🧶🧶
"Nobody wants this little bit of yarn--"
Ma'am, I think you underestimate my thirst for yarn.
🤣🤣🤣 love it!!!! ❤️
Thank you!
Thank you so much! And you could do the double held granny blanket in any weight yarn you like best! 🧶🧶🧶
I love the triangle bunting and the coastal crochet blanket! I'm only now starting to accumulate scraps, so we'll see when it's time to use them. Also, great magic knot tutorial - I've seen other videos but they all looked intimidating. Your explanation was clear and seems doable.
The knot is super simple to do! Glad it was helpful! 🧶🧶🧶
Love, love, love ❤️ your videos! You make my day happy 😊. The lil frogs, wonderful chickens, and the granny square pillow, just to name three are amongst my favorites.
Do you ever have an Open House Venue?
The Carolinas are in my travel plans in 2025.
Ooh I love the pillow. I never think of making pillows and OMG Melissa Gilbert 😃
The pillow is one of my favorites!! And I couldn't believe I got to meet Melissa Gilbert!! 🐓🧶❤️
I loved all the scrap yarn projects! Keep them coming! ❤
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed them! 🧶🧶🧶
Heck yeah I know Melissa Gilbert! I love Little House on the Prairie, even though I am Gen Z. I was blessed to grow up watching it! But I didn't know she was a crafter!
Yes!!! Apparently she does a lot of crafting! 🧶🧶🧶
I'm so sorry about your mom. ❤️❤️❤️ And I love that idea for a book cover!!!!! 📖🧶❤️
I'm glad you enjoyed them! ❤️❤️❤️
I love Mabel the chicken and I totally get the excitement over LAURA INGLES!!! 😂
Mabel is adorable!!! 🐓
All great scrappy projects you showcased - I want to make them all! The crochet and quilted chicken are both adorable!🐔
Oh my Goodness!!! I'm so happy for you that you got to meet Melissa Gilbert!! That's awesome! I think I would try to make the little chicken...lol So darn cute! Thanks for sharing and keep that chicken safe! It's a wonderful memory!
She looks so good in my craft room!! 🐓🐓🐓
Thank you so much! 🐱🐱🐱
Thank you!! And I typically don't use variegated yarns either but I'm so glad I was able to incorporate it into the Fever Dream blanket!! 🧶🧶🧶
Perfect 👍🏻
Thank you so much for the great ideas.
Oh my goodness, what a cute video and an even cuter story about Melissa Gilbert!
Yup, I remember her in that series “ Little House on the Prairie “……
What a throw back to my childhood!
😍
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! 🧶🧶🧶
What a wonderful idea about using two strands of yarn, to create a super unique and warm granny square blanket. It will be added to my ‘Must Do’. list. Thanks for this!
I'm so glad you liked it too!! 🧶🧶🧶
That was cool , you won a chicken signed my Melissa Gilbert. I loved that show. ❤
Yes!!! Super random and amazing all at the same time! 🐓🧶❤️
I do that too!! 🧶🧶🧶
These are all fun projects! How exciting to meet Melissa!!! I’m definitely jealous! 😊❤️
I've been making those blankets Maria makes since I was 5 years old, 55 now and they look fantastic, everyone wants one, plus super warm... I love scrap yarn it's my favorite kind.
Scrappy projects feel so satisfying to make!! 🧶🧶🧶
I remember little house on the prairie! My mum loved that tv show.
I just came to say that My husband was from North Carolina, and that I love your videos XD
Thank you so much for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
