I can completely relate 😂. Funny, but not funny that I ran across this video today because I saw a guy (while I was getting a Starbucks in the drive through) laying on the ground in front of a closed office shivering trying to get his coat wrapped around himself (very cold here yesterday near Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado) and while I was waiting for my coffee I suddenly thought…I need to make some blankets and keep them in my car to give out and pay more attention to what’s happening around me (a couple of homeless shelters around) I felt so bad for him….this is what I’ll do with all my yarn that I’ve had for years starting this tonight thanks for inspiring me. So sorry if I seem like a babbling crazy person 😂
I just have to comment! I know you made this video three years ago but I’ve just recently started watching you maybe two months ago! I have a ton of yarn also and I’ve been crocheting since I was 18 years old and I’m now 78 years old. Thanks again, God bless you!!❤

I learned to take a picture of my projects and donate them. That way I am able to give the blanket away and still keep it

You have an adorable personality. My husband tells me I have a lot of yarn. I have a full under-bed storage tote and could probably fill another one. I should show him the, I'm assuming, small portion of what is view actually is so much more! Maybe he will stop telling me 'no more yarn'. I'm loving your WIP's. The ocean theme one was my favorite. I have just watched your 1st video. Funny I finished another scrap blanket today. I save my snippets of yarn for stuffing. Very little goes to waste. I enjoy watching and will look for more.
These are fantastic! I have noticed that these random colored scrapghans are actually prettier than the over- planned ones. And yes. It totally relate and look forward to seeing more from a new Yarny friend. It’s great 👏🏻💕👏🏻

Gina/Yarn Geek, I am going to be doing the same thing as you! When I move back home to Michigan! I've got SEVERAL boxes of yarn deliveries for aphgan projects. I'm a guy, 58 years young, and, have been crocheting since I was 5 years old. I'm in the process of designing a "grampa squares" aphgan. I'm left handed-crocheting left to right, backwards. I need to get the Chevron stitch down properly, the double crochet stitch, the granny stripe/chain stitch. I'm proud to be crocheting as a craft-yes soothing, relaxing, tension relieving, and, very peaceful to do. Doug, a fellow crocheter(lefty style)!👍🤓🧸🧶

I was watching a movie, whilst crocheting (as you do) and needed to see something in the pattern I was doing for my rug, and found your video. Well, I have to say your video is way more fun and interesting than what I was watching! 🤣. You're so inspiring, a crack up, and I love your many many various rugs! The light colour you don't like in one of your rugs looks nice for some contrast. You're amazing, fun, and talented. Thank you for showing me/us your video. Nice phone video work too 😉. I love your scrap blankets .I thought I was the only one that has a big family. I'm 51 10 children & 10 grandchildren. I started young like 15 but I'm glad I did cause I'm enjoying life at my age lol

Those are beautiful blankets and I bet they would help a lot of people that have been hurt by tornadoes or flooding that’s going on in our world, not only would it give them warmth but s good feeling that someone took time to make them something from the heart.

I watched your video one year ago. It’s been a year and I’ve made a twin size and queen size scrapgan! The twin is for my niece just off to college. It’s her Christmas present here in a few days!!! Three strands held together. Black runs through the whole thing, the colors are sort of rainbow ombré.

Just slaw you, Ginger…love this video, as I also have a room full of cubbies full of yarn, and a closet that has shelving on bth sides a full f yarn…I’m old, lol, and worried I won’t get to use my beautiful yarn…, so I haven’ attacked much of my scrap balls….i have 12 grands and 3 great grands from FOUR sons…you will have a really large crew eventually with 7 kids! Made 25 afghans last Christmas, and “wrapped” them in white kitchen trash bags..with big red 🤣😁

Great job! Keep making videos and getting comfortable with your audience. I think you’re a natural. I like making scrap-throws. They’re usually heavier than a regular throw so they feel nice over your lap or while you’re curled up on the couch.

Good for you. You should set a time to crochet every day. I set an alarm. It helps. And try a sampler scrap blanket. Different stiches in the blanket. 😊 I did a scrapgan purse for my granddaughter and myself. Your doing great. We appreciate you.

Hello!! I just found you today 10 17 2021 Sunday LOL!! I am going to go to the beginning and watch you while i crochet!! I do that each Sunday and Monday - watch 1 of my favorite crochet channels. I love making scrap ghans - i have been making them for years family and friends love them!! Also like you i use small pieces also! They are all so beautiful and warm!!
You make me feel soooo GOOOD!! LOL I have only a small amount of yarn in comparison. BUT I do have 5 ripple afgans in process and need to complete them. I also try to make quick projects like beanies and scarves. Great video! And remember!!! Every person in the audience is REAL and we are just online 'neighbors'. Hello fellow crocheter! Love that first scrap-afghan! With the black and the purple/mauve. Ohh,..that big one is beautiful!!! Now is this a single #4 yarn that you do these wip's? I just finished a big scrap-basket made from 4 strands of #4 weight yarn using a 8mm hook. It's a real hand/finger workout because when doing the basket...I crochet real tight (HDC) for my rows to make the basket sturdier/stiffer. Right now it's holding all of my scrap balls of yarn for future scrap projects. Anyone honored with one of your scrap-ghans is truly blessed! That red one is really striking! Have you every gone to thrift stores to find deals on yarn? I just bought a big 'trash bag' of yarn at my local thrift store for $15....it held 6 full skeins of Red Heart yarn and five more without labels...and all kinds of assorted bundles of yarn-probably 10lbs of yarn! Keep on crocheting!

You remind me of me. I love a scrap blanket, scrap bags scrap hats scrap chair pads, ect ect. Love new yarn, but still love the old. I have to restrain myself. 6 sons and grandkids, always scrap yarn in my house.I have 6 grandkids, so its never ending.Thank you for sharing

I make cakes from either all dark scraps and light color scraps. Then crochet them together. It's always a surprise!
