      I've made the dislike count public so that you can decide whether this video is worth your time.
      I worked hard on these videos and, as a relatively small creator, I was very proud of my (mostly good) like/dislike ratios.
      Hard work and a good ratio will encourage others to watch videos which I think is great for new or small channels.
      I hope you are all well. I'm doing great. Thank you for the fun times.

      @@TheEasyVegan hi man how you doing? I really like your channel, and I think you're really doing a great job. I want to be positive but I also want to say something as I am one of the few ones who clicked the dislike button. Something constructive, of course. The thing is: it's easy to cook a beautiful recipe that will make you receive a lot of likes and positive comments using cooking sauces and pastes like the korma paste you used in the video. The problem is that sauces like that are really really really unhealthy, for example the korma paste you used contains for 100g almost 10g of sugar and almost 100% of your need of salt, and you used all the can, which is 200g. I've watched some others of your videos and they really great, you entertain a lot and there are a lot of beautiful ideas that I'm using right now, like the way you make tofu. But you should really put a disclaimer at the end of the video that says something like "This is not something you can eat every day, it's good for Sundays with family or once in a while" or smt like that, surely not making it a "Easy everyday recipe" like I think it's the message of the video.
      As an influencer you have a power and you should use it to spread a healthy lifestyle thought the internet and the people who are following you.
      Bye man and have a good day 🌄🌱

      There's a tray in the toaster that you can pull out and wipe off all the crumbs and in this case, the almond slices.
      It's normally at the back of the toaster at the bottom. But all toaster are different so it could be at the side. Gently pull at the bottom lip of the toaster... if that makes sense..check the first 40seconds of this clip....

    Man - I love you. I’m fairly new to being vegan and still struggle because I’m the only one I know and jeez, all the questions about what I “actually” eat and protein... AGH. Anyways. You’re hilarious and your videos make me feel like I’m actually apart of a really cool club for awesomely weird people who don’t murder things. Thank you for doing what you do!

    • @TheEasyVegan
      @TheEasyVegan  6 років тому +24

      Hey dude. Thanks for letting me know. That's very kind. I find the best answer to "how do you get enough protein?" is simply "if you eat enough calories, you get enough protein". For example, if you eat 2500 calories worth of broccoli, that'd be around 175g of protein (over triple your daily requirement). Weird example but it makes the point. Stay cool bruh

    • @CB-kt7qd
      @CB-kt7qd 6 років тому +5

      To get enough protein try to add the following into your diet: beans (any kind), lentils (any kind), peas and chick peas, soy beans, tofu, raw seeds (any kind), almonds, walnuts, cashew, brasil nuts, or other nuts (preferably raw), broccoli, leafy vegg, quinoa, and so on....
      Just make sure you eat enough , and most importantly be joyfull just like our friend the easy vegan

    • @robind6300
      @robind6300 5 років тому

      I started tracking on my fitness pal and found I get plenty of protein. I also get plenty of iron and potassium which I struggle to get when eating meat and dairy. I used to get too much calcium, but lately I replaced dairy foods with dark leafy greens and now I get the right amount.

    • @couch_philosoph3325
      @couch_philosoph3325 5 років тому

      @@robind6300 i also started using a calorie counter (because im trying to be more healthy) and it really helps grasping the value food has. For example lentils have tons of great stuff in them and are at a reasonable calorie amount for 100g. Some sweetened junk ive been having for snacks was way worse then i realized xD actually looking at how much protein etc foods have can really help

    • @outherewildinb2874
      @outherewildinb2874 5 років тому +1

      Actually, your concerns about protein are correct. Vegans tend to have a limiting protein - that being lysine. It's found in lentils, some beans, soy derivatives and quinoa. Just pop a mixture of these into whatever your weekly dinner is and you'll be fine for all the other proteins (plant foods are high in the rest).

  • @VyvienneEaux
    @VyvienneEaux 6 років тому +2

    No!!!! I'm an aspiring vegan chef writing a conceptual cookbook on vegan cuisines of Asia. The recipes are quite elaborate and intended to fill in the niche for special occasion and restaurant-style recipes, since "every day" cookbooks are saturating the market. The other night I made a Malai Kofta recipe that my non-vegan boyfriend said was "the best thing I have ever eaten in my 28 years of life." It was surprisingly amazing! Maybe the fact that I'm Indian and have observed my family cooking helps. Any ways, I'd like to share my recipe here with hopes that you try it! You seem to be a great vegan cook.
    The recipe's extremely rough because so far it's still in the testing stage, so it's in a format that's intended for my use only.
    "In a pan, add a good amount (~4tbsp) cooking oil. Fry 2 inches cinnamon, 4 cloves, 2 small bay leaves, 2 smashed cardamom pods. Wait until it gets toasty, then add a half cup of raisins and a half cup of peanuts, 1 tsp turmeric, 20 turns of black pepper, and 1 tbsp fresh ginger paste. Add chopped onions, one tsp msg, and one tsp salt and fry until just starting to brown. Add 5 cloves of garlic paste and chopped, seeded red chillis and fry for about a minute. Move the onions to the sides of the pan to make a well, then add 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp cumin powder, ½ tbsp Aachi pepper chicken masala, 1 tsp turmeric, and 1 tsp kashmiri chili powder. Add oil to the well, and toast the spice powders until they barely start to brown, then mix into the onion mixture. Add one small tin or tomato paste. Open a can of coconut milk and mix in 4 tbsp of brown sugar. Mix the tomato paste into the onions thoroughly and fry for 2 minutes, then pour in a half cup of water. Stir thoroughly to dissolve the paste, and bring to a boil. Add the coconut milk-brown sugar mixture, and stir thoroughly. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and continue to stir until the boiling ceases. Crush in the palms of your hands 2 tbs kasoori methi, and sprinkle on top. Stir in, and you’re done!
    Potato mixture:
    3 russet potatoes
    2 Indian green peppers (the wrinkly kind); diced
    1 ear or corn, kernels shaved and minced
    1 cup of finely diced cabbage
    ½ yellow onion; diced
    microwave potatoes until done. Peel and mash.
    Fry whole garam masala spices (whole cinnamon, clove, green cardamom, and bay leaves) in oil and add one tsp turmeric and 20 crushes black pepper. Add all the other vegetables and 2 tsp salt. Add 2 tbsp brown sugar and one tsp msg. Add the mashed potatoes and use a spatula to combine and mash everything together. Set aside to cool down. Once cool, mold into balls, spray with water, dredge in corn starch, dust off the excess, and put in the freezer for 30 minutes. Deep fry, grill, or broil until golden brown before serving. Makes 16 balls. "

    Awesome video! :-) You can eat the skin of the butternut squash and of the ginger. Many nutrients are in there which you loose when removing the skin. If you eat the skin choosing organic might be the best choice. What is in the Korma Paste? Can you do a recipe on that? Keep up the great content.😊

    Great video trying this for sure (Iceland actually do big giant naans that are labelled subtle for vegans (at least the one near us does))
