  • This is how I replaced my master cylinder in my ford mustang. I will also show you how I bled the air out of the master cylinder before installing it. I found this to be pretty easy to replace.

    just crack all the caliper ends open and let the fluid drip ,keep adding new fluid to the white tank and you not only bleed them you changed the fluid too...yes doing it yourself saves money !!!

      that aint gonna work...air doesnt come out willingly like that. it will stay in high points in the lines. needs to be flushed out.

    I have a Ford Mustang too. I have had this problem as well. I traced the problem to the fact that I bought a Ford Mustang.

    Nice job on your video, I have to say, after you've done this job you're as much a mechanic as many who claim to be. Don't sell yourself short!
    My only suggestion is at the beginning you might have described the problems you were having and why it is you decided the master cylinder needed to be replaced!

      Thank you so much!!! Means a lot to me, and you are 100% right. I will definitely bring up why I am replacing or repairing things in the future. Take care my friend...Tony

    I have yet to see the wiring plug come off as easy as yours. I have done several of these and I always have to fight the plug to get it to release. On the newer models that plug is toward the fender so it is even more difficult.

    The plug that you in unplugged in the beginning is a fluid sensor so that you know if it’s low you get a light on your dash

    that's strange. I have a 00 gt coupe and the lines you take out on yours are just bleeder valves on mine. I'm guessing I can just bleed on the car without taking it off... ahh just noticed yours is auto. mine is 5 spd derp

    My break lines are on the opposite side of the cylinder and refuse to go in. And they are not stripped.

    • @HowYouCanDoItToo
      @HowYouCanDoItToo  9 років тому

      SEspider are you sure you got the right one. They can be tricky at times to get started, but definitely don't strip it out.

      Got it on today, Pain in the world to deal with cause there's so little room to work with.

    Why can't the 98 be this simple? The lines are underneath the cylinder not on the side like yours in this video.
