The fun part is that if you're not a drummer this makes you want to become one but if you ARE a drummer this basically makes you want to quit. 😂
Tomas is an absolutely legendary drummer. One of the best multi-taskers. Definitely check out more Meshuggah, they're awesome.
Man, every limb on his body is in a different time signature, it's completely insane to watch. And he hits with the might of a God, no light taps whatsoever, every stroke is at 100% brutality. Unbelivable!
he is a goat like danny. there are other very technical drummers, but meshuggah as a whole are also so groovy and heavy like noone else (for me). this video is from their recording studio. they all play the song, but you don't see the other guys. i am speechless since 25 years about this band. and you gotta see them live! and perhaps check out: pravus live from meshuggah from their alive dvd.
Meshuggah live is something else! cant recommend seeing them live enough, even if u dont like the music, the experience of the show and the performance alone is stunning!
It's funny how casual he looks ending this beast of a song, it's like he goes "guess I'll hit this at the end"
Seeing them live in December. Can't wait
Toronto!
@@WebsterA Michigan
Same!
Indiana for me 👍 first concert. For my favorite metal band
Rewatch Bleed , but now the live drum CAM.. it’s brutal
The thing is, all these drummers that are in the Pantheon all make it look sooooo easy even when they are blowing your mind.
I know these guys are an acquired taste but I freakin LOVE everything about Meshuggah. Period!
Danny Careys favorite drummer is Tomas, Tomas is on another level
What a fkn amazing drummer🤯Meshuggah surely deserves him on board!
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!
-Meshuggah
Meshuggah are the kings.
Tomas and Dick wrote this one, those two together have written the most confusingly groovy tracks I’ve heard. Literally any other track off of ObZen or Nothing is a must bro. Absolute masterpiece albums. Wanna test out the air drumming? Go with remastered Nebulous 🤝
Please check out Pravus live by Meshuggah, one of my absolute favourites
this man's limbs each have a mind of their own LOL
One of their most complex tracks. So good. Another example of why they're the Gods of metal.
I’ve been waiting for this one. Danny and Tomas are my favorite drummers. Two different styles but both are first class.
Been listening to this band since 1995, dive in deeper, you will go on an amazing journey
BleeeeeeD
The best
God He Sees In Mirrors is quite a listen from their latest album Immutable. :)
Check out 66Samus playing Hear Me by Devin Townsend, Alex Rudinger playing Xenochrist by The Faceless. Just a couple metal drum playthroughs to check out.
Man I've commented something like this before, but you have an incredible sense of rhythm. I personally had a bit of trouble at the beggining grooving with meshuggah songs, even though I consider myself a metalhead. This song in particular is not easy to get even on your third listen. You sir, have truly a choppy soul. Keep up the good works!
I don't even introduce people to Meshuggah. You have to have a very good ear for groove and timing and be willing to put in the time for multiple listening sessions. Most people aren't up for that. A lot of people can't get past the growling so they immediately shut down when they hear it.
Appreciate it my friend!!
6:36 is unreal!
Im going to see them in december.🤘
How was it?😊
I've spent all morning drinking too much coffee and grooving along with you from Canada sir. Adore Meshuggah and been listening and seeing em live for 20 years now. You need to listen to "Phantoms" and "War" by the boys. Much love from the frozen north \m/
Seeing them this Saturday with In Flames and White Chapel. Saw them back in 2002 open for Tool at UMass Amherst. Love this band. Tomas is amazing, a top 4 favorite of mine. The other 3 are Haruna (Lovebites), Martin Lopez (Soen, ex-Opeth), and Dave Lombardo (Slayer, Grip Inc).
Solid reaction 🤘
Oh yeeeeaaaaaa
We apes were not designed for this level of limb independence, Thomas isn't human tho 😅😅
Fuck yeah, man.
This is beginning to be a go-to channel for me! Here for all the Meshuggah and the CHOPS
Cheers brother appreciate you tuning in 🤘
DRUM GOD😎😎😎
Now do nostrum (drum playthrough)! It's basically the same cam but with a way more convoluted track for the drums
Tomas is the kind of drummer that if you are not a drummer, he makes you wanna be one, and if you are one, makes you wanna give up. you gotta do bleed (drum cam) at some point.
you're so good describing music and drums
We love Meshuggah
Seeing them live in Boston, Dec 9th... and my asshole is already puckered, yo.
How was the show?😊
@@jonf671 The show was utterly life-changing... flawless execution, impeccable lighting and visuals, and "Bleed" as the encore. Absolutely mind-blowing.
I feel like Tomas doesn't like people doing drum covers of his music lol. Who could even replicate that my gad...
Meshuggah has been described as the musical equivalent to Quantum physics.
I tend to agree!
One of the Best 👌🔥✌️
Nice!!
Dude another video you have to check out is Danny Carey's 2002 Live version of triad. There's a drum cam video of it with enhanced ai visual quality.
Please do hurt that finds you first by meshuggah next
I love my coffee with extra SHUGGGGGGAH
some comments on that video by meshuggah are so freaking funny haha, one example from that video is: This really inspired me to stop playing the drums"
"I'm going to play along".
Yeah right 😂
😂😂😂
Next we need monomyth drum cam from animals as leaders (matt garstka)
@sevsimo reacts look at how drummer Jinjer plays, it's a new level of control, clarity, it's just incredible - "JINJER - Mediator (Live Drum Playthrough Szene Open Air, Austria)"
Do I dare to come back again with my suggestion about the band 'VOLA' ?
Obviously I do ! 😁
Their last single, 'Paper Wolf' is still fresh... Enjoy !
Peace.
looking forward to it, checking it out soon my friend! 🤘
New millennium cyanide christ is still one of the choppiest songs ever created. Its amazing
Meshuggah has the chopiest... song ever in concatenation remix... off their rare trax album...
You have not heard them yet…
ALEX BENT DRUM CAM
for the song BETRAYER by Trivium
He is another very technical drummer that looks extremely effortless and comfortable, but the technique is there. Give it a whirl I think you will enjoy him too, Trivium are from Orlando Florida
#TEAMCHOPPYDROPS
awesome will check it out cheers my friend!
#TEAMCHOPPYDROPS!
It's a viking love song 😅😂
Check out born in dissonance..it's full of chunky , choppy , flippy , floppy ,drippy, droppy , chuggy , snuggly, as a buggy in a ruggy .....sorry got carried away ...😁
just how we like it on this channel haha! 😂
@@sevsimo well anyway please do a video on that joint .....killer as hell
Can you react to the greatest vocalist of all time… Freddy Mercury.
Dude,
They
Move
Below
#please
Tomas Haake is the best metal drummer of all time.. No discussions about it..
Would love you to check out Spawn of Possesion - Apparition. its not a cover of sleep token's just another banger with the same name. Love the vids bro
will do my friend thanks for the recommendation!
cheers my bro!
Thomas is not from this dimension 🤘
He was good but there is only one Danny Carey and its hard for me to see past his work. If Neil Peart is in the equation then it gets tricker.
try " In this moment" do" BLOOD " ,chick singer is great..
