I am all in for the Gyeon. I am tired of replacing the tire shine every month. I used Gyeon on the Mustang 3 months ago and its still there. This is my happy face
You're kinda right and I agree. The durability on some products are rather noticeable and thats what matters besides shine. Perl 1:1 lasts much longer on my tires rather than some other products.
They are all real similar. The SIO2 products last longer and fully dry on the tire. I have never been a fan of extreme durability on tire dressings. I want it to come off easy when I wash.
In my opinion, it would be between Gyeon Q2 and Carpro Perl, with the edge to Gyeon Q2 for a couple instances. Personally, I enjoyed the results between those two products because they each took one application. Whereas the OG Tire Dressing and CG VRP both took two applications. Additionally, I preferred the look of Gyeon Q2’s post application of sheen in comparison to the other competitors. Lastly, I would choose Gyeon Q2 over the others due to its SiO2 capabilities; obviously helping prohibit debris and other road grime of sticking onto the face of the tire(s). All great products here for sure. But I personally think in the end, the Gyeon Q2 won it for me. And actually, being a professional detailer and running my own automotive detailing business, I’m upset with myself for not having this product readily available in my arsenal. (FYI, I already have Carpro Perl and CG VRP - lol) Please keep up the great content and reviews. We all appreciate it! 👍🏻
Congrats on 20k subs! I know you’re going to get to 100k and more if you keep making great content like you do. If you’re taking requests for tire dressing to test, I’d like to see Aero Cosmetics Rubber Care, I’m planning to pick a bottle up when my Adam’s VRT runs out.
I don't dilute Perl. I'll apply one coat and wipe off any excess. Next wash I'll apply another coat and wipe off any excess. I may not reapply for the next two washes.
@@timkinley1779 Hey, Tim! On your next wash after applying PERL, do you scrub the tires like a “normal” wash before applying it again? Or do you just leave it as is and layer it? I say “normal” because scrubbing tires with a Tuf Shine brush (or something similar) and dedicated cleaner isn’t always a normal step for some of the non-fanatics out there. Thanks for your feedback!
@@PTerracina It varies depending on what the tires have endured. Not really any dirt or muddy roads in my area. I use P&S Brake Buster on the wheels and tires. But if the tires are not bad, I'll do a quick once over with a Tuff Shine brush. Or sometimes I'll just use the wash mitt and soad to go over the wheels and tires (if they are only dusty). Then apply another layer of Perl. Perl isn't really greasy when it dries and doesn't need to be scrubbed before applying again.
In other reviews, the reviewer showed the results after, say, a week or two. For some tire dressing products, when the dressing fades away, it leaves the tires looking ugly brown. Did any of these four products leave the tire looking ugly brown? Which of the four faded back to black-that is the one I would likely choose. Thanks for a great review-would love for you to follow-up with longevity results.
pearl wins over vrp and og for durabilty. even the owner from obsessed said his product is for applying fast for every wash and he would use and sells pearl for lasting longer. it would be a test between gyeon and pearl in the end.
I used to use VRP, but here in Arizona it picks up dirt real easy, since moved on to Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing and have been happy with the results
Been using pearl & VRP for 2 years. I like VRP a little bit better because of the matte black finish. In addition, a gallon of VRP is only $35. I am very shocked that you didn’t point out the pricing for the Products. Nevertheless, it was a great video. You should make more videos
Thanks for the video! Just started using OG tire dressing. Easy application and looks great. Durability is not it’s strong point. I may have to try one of your contestants or go back to auto fanatics holeshot and I still use it for the black plastic trim on my Model Y. I can go a couple of weeks before I have to reapply.
Its a good one to try out. I have used it a bunch. My favs of the 4 are Gyeon and Carpro. Both look great and last a descent amount of time. Thanks for watching
Once again...another great video! I hate to be "that guy" but I think tire dressings are all about the same and it's more about the application and starting with clean tire. I'll have to try the Perl to see what all the hype is about. I like Jax Wax's Super Blue and CG Silk Shine...both work really well for me. Keep up the up the batlles....I can't get enough of this stuff and I'm always up to try new products.
I agree. I cleaned the rubber off of those before the application. Hahaha. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. I will look into those products for a future vid.
Have you had the chance to try cover all? I love the stuff. It's in an aerosol can. You spray it on a clean tire and walk away. It gives it the perfect look in my opinion. I haven't done specific testing with it since I wash my car often but it works for me. I'd love to know what you think.
Try Lone Star tire shine. Blows these out of the water on durability. Absolutely zero sling. Has matte and high gloss options. Best tire shine available hands down.
Great comparison video. Pulling through again for us! I was using the CG VRP but switched to Adam's Graphene Tire Dressing about 4/5 months ago and love it. You should definitely try it out.
Gotta appreciate that the Adams video is recommended right below this one and was posted right when you made this comment. This man really listens to his followers.
I use bead maker as a drying aid and it offers good short term protection. Check out my latest video where I tested a good spray sealant. That will help too. Thanks for watching
It's great, it'll last about 2 weeks and doesn't have any sling off. It's pretty messy due to it being a gel, so you should wear gloves when applying it. I dropped it though because I couldn't confirm whether or not iid it was solvent or water-based. Because solvent-based tire shine can damage your tire sidewalls over time.
Matt has been pretty open about him (and Scott) getting this from B&B Blending and just adding the color/scent. But my understanding was no one from the big boys was using that specific product offered by B&B which is why he had to go through the trouble of doing this and bottling it himself as opposed to just buying it?
@@Mari0o0o doesn't the OG contain SiO2? I'm sure Matt said it does. I can't see SiO2 mentioned in the Tire Kicker literature - surely Chemical Guys would mention it if it did contain it, because they know how WONDERFUL we all think SiO2 is! 😀

i just got pearl in the mail this week. can't wait to try. i have been using adams vrt for years happily. all the product looked great. i went for pearl for durability. i clean the wheels every wash but skip tires a wash or two. my bmw only gets a few hours on the road a week though so that's why i don't wash them so often. the work van i wash once every 2 months so i need durability on them too. love the content bruddah! mahalo from california.
@@HawaiiDetailing update. peal was super easy to apply. i used undiluted. i actually found it to be kinda shiny vs a matte finish. i did a light padded wipe like you in the video 15 min after. the next day i did an aggressive wipe to bring it down further. still was shiny between the tread meeting side wall. at that point i wasn't going to rub the microfiber with my finger between each tread. i think i over applied maybe. used what i normally use with adam's vrt. can't wait to see after one wash not trying to get brake buster foam on it. also test tried on rubber seal at door sill. you could feel the rubber getting the love it needed. want to do the entire car now. lol.
Great video man personally my favorite was the carpro Perl simply because it's dark black but not to glossy however I was never a fan of any Chemical Guys products I used their car wash soaps detail sprays I never liked any of their stuff in my opinion garbage quality ! Obsessed Garage stuff and Gyeon are the top Noch car care products oh yeah also Koch Chemie love that brand.
Not that I have used. I personally don’t want it to last that long. If it’s that durable then it Is a pain to get off the tire with a routine wash. I don’t like caking products on top of each other. After the car gets dirty and needs a wash I don’t mind washing the wheels and reapplying the dressing to the tires. That’s my thoughts but it is personal preference. Thanks for watching
Tried perl and OG after years with VRP. Then tried Adams graphene tire dressing . I have customers that go a month with it still looking awesome. Check it out!! Great video and watching your subs go up!!👍

@@HawaiiDetailing update. peal was super easy to apply. i used undiluted. i actually found it to be kinda shiny vs a matte finish. i did a light padded wipe like you in the video 15 min after. the next day i did an aggressive wipe to bring it down further. still was shiny between the tread meeting side wall. at that point i wasn't going to rub the microfiber with my finger between each tread. i think i over applied maybe. used what i normally use with adam's vrt. can't wait to see after one wash not trying to get brake buster foam on it. also test tried on rubber seal at door sill. you could feel the rubber getting the love it needed. want to do the entire car now. lol.
I was a vrp guy for years, til I tried carpro perl its that good!
After a week of keeping any eye on the products carpro perl looks about the same as vrp. I might stick with vrp.
OG all day long
I like it to. Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts
that Gyeon looks great! Pan put out a tire shine vid today also, the Adams Graphene looks great too!
I like the Gyeon for sure. Good stuff. Thanks for watching
Perl is great. U can dilute 1.1 and very economical
Yes its good stuff
OBSSSSD Tire dressing gives a great matte finish.
Yeah it does a good job.
Carpro Perl Straight Up
Good choice. Thanks for watching
Koch chemie pss would have been a good contender!
I will do that one soon. Thanks for watching
Is there really a tire dressing that lasts for months?
Not that I have used. I personally don’t want it to last that long. If it’s that durable then it Is a pain to get off the tire with a routine wash. I don’t like caking products on top of each other. After the car gets dirty and needs a wash I don’t mind washing the wheels and reapplying the dressing to the tires. That’s my thoughts but it is personal preference. Thanks for watching
CarPro Pearl just like VRP is water based
Yes it is. VRP has no silicone additives so it washes off with water easily. Thanks for watching
Carpro pearl 💯
Yeah. Good stuf
NV Onyx is my new Top dressing. I have every product in this video except the Obsessed Garage one, and I believe Nv Onyx is superior.
You should try KC Plast Star
Will have to check it out. Thanks
Great test, but you omitted a really good tire dressing, adams graphene tire dressing.
Will try that one soon. Thanks for watching
Tried perl and OG after years with VRP. Then tried Adams graphene tire dressing . I have customers that go a month with it still looking awesome. Check it out!! Great video and watching your subs go up!!👍
@@Scwdetail thanks a lot. I will check it out for sure. Thanks for watching and following the channel

@@HawaiiDetailing can you do a review of mastersons foam sprayer? heard good things about it..thanks and keep doing what you are doing.
@@uzimelchor937 will look into it. Thanks
Most don't last a rain shower...
I agree. The SIO2 will go a little farther but after rain the tires need to be cleaned and might as well throw a quick coat on them. Thanks for watching
