  • What is the best drying aid? Immediately after you are done washing a vehicle, while it’s still wet, a drying aid is a product that is applied on the car and assists with the manual towel drying process. A drying aid will add lubrication to the surface, preventing scratches, it will prevent water spots, it will boost gloss and slickness on your paint, and will help repel water and dust.

I have 2 coats of CQuartz UK 3.0 and two coats of Gliss on my car. I watched your video and you state that Elixir isn't as good as the other ones at slickness and gloss so which one should i get? I also use P & S Beadmaker, but not as a drying aid. I use it as a detail spray and it does a great job with slickness and gloss. Thanks for testing these products. As always Pan, another great, informative video!!!! Question that many of us northerners have, as we are approaching the cold weather months (Chicago) where we are no longer able to wash our vehicles the traditional way due to freezing temperatures, if we go to a touchless carwash, which one of these products would be best to use after we get the car back in the garage? And as you know, living in Canada, the cold and salts limit our abilities to keep a car as clean as we want. Thank you as always!

I think it gets overlooked because its an old house hold/autozone brand vs the new age scented, cooling looking, designer bottle stuff with cool titles. But honestly, i like wax and dry better than Chemical Guys quick detail, bead maker and the ice/shine. Its really great stuff and works very well with water. I use an M18 blower to dry 90-95% of the way then wipe the rest in with wax and dry. I only bought it at advance auto because i ran out of my last beadmaker and didnt want to reorder as it attracts dust to much for people like myself without a garage. Ill by Wax and Dry again.

I used AMP for quite a long time, until I ran out. It was too expensive to re-order (shipping from California was too much in USD) so I used Adam's Detail spray which worked great. I recently use the Chemical Guys Ceramic Detail spray, which works very well too for a drying aid, especially in the winter. Great Video Pan.

I like the Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer, Car Wax and Opti-Seal. I usually use the IDGE though because all of our vehicles have an Optimum protectant on it.

I use beadmaker for drying. After this gallon I mite just give Matt’s stuff a go. I don’t need smells and colors! Just results! Pan you should try the Titan Eod.

Opti-Seal works great for me. Use it as a drying aid then wipe with a soft microfiber to shine. Dry and sealed. Perfect.

Go to drying aid for the past year has been *AM Details Hybrid Detailer* -- great topper for the Hybrid Sealant coating. Just got the Gyeon Ceramic spray to test, as i liked the QD.
