On your recommendation I started using Adams and was very pleased with the results. I’m a big CarPro fan. So when Darkside came out I was anxious to try it and it did not disappoint. By far the best dressing I’ve used. Ease of application, gloss level, and durability all superior to anything else I have tried.
My cars enjoy having Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Tire Shine applied. I prefer the Turtle Wax because it is available everywhere at reasonable prices, which is important because I have five cars and detail them weekly. Thank you,
@@justinbernardo8240 I'm sorry. I detail one of them weekly. Usually, the one that I recently drove. My sentence structure was faulty. I'm retired and love a clean car. Thank you,
STRAIGHT FACTS!.... I've been using the turtle wax one ever since it came out and have not used anything else ever since lol... And I've used all of the other brands before and non of them last as long or looks as good as the turtle wax one... And for 12.99 US for me it can't be beat🔥
I concur the turtle wax lasts the longest. And it creates the best barrier to dirt and hydrophobicity. It is not as glossy as the dark side and even after two coats doesn’t match one coat of dark side in terms of gloss. But I’ve found the dark side attracts dirt when layed in thick. The turtle wax is completely dry to the touch n sustains after rainstorms and the price is right. U cannot go wrong with the turtle wax for a fraction of the price of dark side
I have been using two coats of Turtle wax graphene and love the results. It also repels dust. I’ve recently tried dark side and after one rainstorm it’s washed away. Dark side is no different then the old endurance tire gel in my opinion. I find that the acrylic in turtle wax leaves my Michelins darker for longer.
Interesting. This is why it’s important for people to test a few different ones to see what lasts longest in their conditions and also which finish they prefer as it’s quite subjective. 👍🏻
One factor that affects the cost is product durability. If you have to apply it twice as often, your cost has just doubled - not to mention the extra investment of your time. Of course, this only applies to those who wash and detail on an as-needed basis, not those who do so on a fixed schedule.
I detailed a bunch of cars at Barrett Jackson last month and we used Adams Graphene Tire Dressing. Loved the application and we got a lot of compliments on the look
@@kirkwilson5900 I've been lucky enough to do this with the Adam's team, too. It's non-stop from morning to night for weeks. Exhausting but so worth the experience, and such an incredible group of people to work with. And to your comment, Adam's posted this video last year to show what it's like...enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/AT_rk4fplY4/v-deo.htmlsi=cgLEbpkfn9ivsV64
I also use Daekside and I use VRP. The point you make that is spot on is longevity. I agree a couple to a few weeks at best is what they last. With that being said most people may as well buy the least expensive options and reapply often.
When I was a kid Saturday mornings were fun with cartoons. Now Saturday morning is fun because of a Pan video. Tire dressings have come a long way since chemical guys vrp. Definitely a noticeable difference between consumer grade and professional grade products here. Darkside is something I have to my arsenal along with blackout for my personal vehicle. Great job demonstrating all of the products and explaining the pros and cons. Thank you for the video Pan.
Hi Pan, I use Adams exclusively on my rides. Find it to have the look I like, not too glossy, rich black color and lasts a while. Thank you for all your videos.
I decided months ago, that I'm going to try carpro DarkSide this summer. This video just helped reinforce my decision. All the pro detailers seem to prefer this one as well. Thanks for another great comparative and unbiased video Pan. ❤
Just to clarify… in the US Tire+ is only $16.99 per 16oz. I believe Pan is stating Canadian Pricing converted to USD which we have no control over.. Regarding application. Pan, I would love for you to give it another try using much less product than shown here. Tire+ is a thinner consistency to be able to spread farther, be more economical, more even, and get into all of the tread. 1-2 sprays on an applicator pad is all that is needed to cover a whole tire and you will not be left with any excess product on the tire, it should apply almost dry after rubbing in. Hope this helps you use the product more efficiently and maybe changes your opinion on the application side. Tire+ is also great for off-road tires where you may want to spray it directly onto the surface to help get into every ridge and tread😊
Thanks for the info. For the price, as this was filmed a while ago, I think what happened is when I access your website, it seems to load prices in CAD currency, but it didn’t say CAD next to the price so people assume it’s USD as you’re based in USA. So your website must know where the user is coming from and adjust the price without us knowing? I looked at the website and scrolling down that’s where I noticed the currency was set to CAD. If I set to USD, you’re right it’s 16.99$ USD for 16 oz. Perhaps modify the site so when the price is written is also states the currency right next to it?
To us, it seems more intuitive to show the pricing in the user's local currency, making it easier to understand the true pricing without having to do conversions... we will see if there is a way to make it more known, maybe in the header..@@PanTheOrganizer
I certainly enjoy a deep black glossy look and opted to use Maguires Ultimate Tyre Gel. Looks great but my goodness - the “sling” was horrible. My truck has 33” Atturo ATS tyres, with an aggressive tyre side pattern. I’d love a product that you could just spray-on and either wipe-off or second coat. Any hints or suggestions?
Having great results with darkside. With a little black short bristle brush just 2 -3 pumps is enough for full coverage. Ive lost count of how many vehicles ive put it on and the bottle is not even 1/4th used up. I use a cheaper by the gallon concentrate tire shine on cheaper packages but run through 32oz spray bottles in no time.
My pump that came with was too small and it was broken. Like the nozzle was broken off completely. Lol. How that happened well thats the magic of shipping and handling.
Hi Pan, thanks for another great video. it would have been great to see the actual tyres again after two weeks of use. Personally I use the Turtle wax as its the best ive tried so far and is great value in the UK, Agree that they only last two weeks though and the gloss can disappear within a couple of days in wet weather.
Thank you soooo much Pan, love to watch all of your videos!!😀👍🏻 Same here, CarPro DarkSide! After testing and using a lot of products over years, DarkSide became my favorite! It isn't too much expensive because it lasts a long time and you don't need so much product. CarPro is my absolute favorite car care brand.😊
Currently using CarPro dark side with pretty good results. The TW product goes on well but wasn’t as durable as they claim. Browned on my daily driver within a few weeks
Before I even get into the video I’m going to guess darkside is #1. I’ve tried so many and picked it up last year. It lasts a long time (for tire dressing). Great matte sheen, no sling. Love the stuff. Edit to add : use a dedicated lake country applicator and final pass with a brush and it finishes excellent
Carpro Darkside is my favorite, lasts longer than most, on the more expensive side. But the amount of customers who told me they were surprised at how long the tire looked great speaks for itself in my opinion.
its been about 2 months since i applied two coats of the turtle wax tire shine and, though the tire don't see any winter salt or mud, its been holding up pretty amazing. The edges are the only place where the dressing has worn off, but the rest of the tire is matt black and beading water like crazy. I usually don't even need to scrub them just spray it with my pressure washer.
Yasou Pan, Thank you for the video on tire dressing. I watch your 2023 awards and bought the CarPro Darkside. It lasted over two months before I had to reply it using CarPro Retyre. It has incredible water beating results plus the tires look brand new! NIKOS
Bought Darkside last week as I wanted to try it and find carpro products pretty good on the whole, and impressed with ease of application and the appearance when applied. Time will tell on the durability but the fact this won your test, pleases me 😊
Haven’t tried these products personally, my go to has always been the Lucas tire shine, until recently DIY Details Tire Lotion became my #1! Have my eyes set on the car pro tire dressing
great video Pan, Infinity Wax Tyre Coat is what i use, very good results especially through the Scottish winters (1-2 months), Express Sealant (spray/rinse) also good for quickly protecting the alloys. I have the TW GA Tire Shine to try in the spring.
Perl is much, much better when cut with about 40% water. I stopped using Perl uncut when I saw a guy that has something to do with whoever blends for CarPro, stating always cut Perl. It is uncut for stability and shelf-life because they have environmental regulations that can't be met adding a biocide. Darkside uses propylene glycol as the cutting agent and doesn't mix well with water.
The only one I’ve used is the turtle wax Graphene. I love it. I haven’t used anything else since. It lasts weeks and makes cleaning so easy. Gives a nice dark appearance for a long time. Can’t beat the price either.
@@PanTheOrganizer I do wash my car every 2 weeks so it always looks great until then. But I have gone as long as a month and I still see the darkening effect and no real build up of dirt on the tires.
Hi Pan, thanks for a great comparison review. Based on your past review of the Hybrid Solutions products, I use the Turtle wax tire dressing. Best! Costa
I use it on my mud guards too & sure there are other uses. Full disclosure I’m new to the game and don’t have experience with other similar products but went with plastar in part because of the versatility
I've been using for the past 2yrs Autoglym high performance tyre gel you can put 1 coat for a matt ish look and 2 coats for a higher gloss look you tet water beading it lasts 4 weeks apx costs £11.79 for 500ml
Of all the tires to chose to display the effects of the tire shines, I like the Blizzacks as a great choice. One of the best tires out there. And the tire shine looks great on blizzacks. 👍
I use the turtle wax HS and meguiars endurance gel and both are very durable. Turtle wax for less shine and MEG for more shine. Currently our three vehicles are going on 3 weeks with several rain storms in that span here in south Texas and the coatings are still noticeably present. I wanted to try dark side but I keep reading reviews that it does not survive a single rain storm.
+1 with darkside. It is great that it isn’t water based like the others, as I found products like Pearl faded quickly after a rain storm. Longevity, looks and applicability make it the best of the bunch in my experience.
Excellent video. I've been using Zaino Z-16 Perfect Tire Gloss since about 2010. Haven't had any issues and lasts 3-4 months. For me the important thing is it doesn't sling at all. I cringe every time I see a vehicle that has tire dressing slung all down the side of it.
I'm going to try the Turtle Wax one since I saw it at Walmart this weekend. Just ran out of my old stuff and want to try something new! Thanks Pan for keeping me up to date on all these new products!
I'm going to try Carpro Darkside. That satin finish is exactly what I'm looking for in a tire dressing. I have Adams Graphene Tire Dressing, but the darkening effect only lasted three days on my daily driver.
Great comparison Pan! I loved the looks of Dark Side, but I can’t see myself paying $31 for the bottle here in the US in 2024. I’ve been using CG Silk Shine since 2020 and just can’t beat the $8-$10 per bottle for the value I get out of it. I personally hate everything else made by CG, but Silk Shine and VRP are the only things I buy from them.
I recently purchased a 2024 Corvette C8 and had PPF and ceramic coating applied last week. I have not washed the car yet,but I bought the Carpro Darkside based on your previous recommendation. I am looking forward to giving it a try soon.
Too bad you haven't tried Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Tire Shine. I loveeeeee it! Totally worth it! It lasts through rain, and frosty temps (15-32) for multiple days IF applied correctly on a clean surface of course! Put it on 17 year old tires that came with my 2001 WS6 Trans Am and it did well for them! Now i have new tires i bought for the car! the rubber is still getting cleaned with P&S brake buster and Turtle Wax Wheel & Tire Cleaner ( ran out of P&S and tried this and its pretty damn good for the price pan!! Foams, and lifts dirt in the foaming action like some more expensive products! Its pretty damn cheap too!! I would recommend you try the wheel and tire cleaner and the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Tire Shine!
Dark side is number 1 with a fact.. easy to apply and last long enough for me.. I've tried turtle wax previously it was average as you said but not bad .. also tried Amazon's exclusive brand blending pros tire dressing, it was better than the turtle wax.
(Tuf-shine) last well over a year with a beautiful satin finish. Repels brake dust like no other. More difficult to install and can stain wheels if not taped off.

Great video Pan. Darkside is on my list. I recently got Labocosmetica Nero and really like the look and application of that. I do knock down the gloss a bit with a towel after about 30 minutes.
Good review; however I don't care what it looks like; I only want the best UV protection, to make sure tyres, and rubber parts, are safe and last for as long as possible!
Hi Pan - thanks for another great review! I use Darkside, and while I agree on ease of application and durability, one thing I find a bit annoying: After curing, even for days in a garage, it never dries off completely, and will start to run when driving, leaving sling traces towards the outside of the tire. I certainly did not overapply, but especially around the lettering of the tires, you can see that phenomena. I definitively advise to remove the excess after curing to prevent this from happening. I used a Pinsel for application, which left too much product around lettering, then tried an applicator pad, still the same issue. Will try application with a micro fibre towel next to see if that helps. Anyone else having this issue?
Same here. I purchased Darkside after seeing this and other videos. My truck 22 GMC Canyon with with normal road tires also slings. Today I used a palm sized foam applicator pad and used two pumps of gel per wheel, then wiped off the excess twice with a microfiber towel. the second wipe off was about 20 minutes after the initial application. I waited 5 hours before driving on non-freeway roads. Still got sling!
I use. Carpro perl or Local chemical company makes a silicone 'super wet look' tyre dressing. Some customers like the shine, others like the more natural look of carpro.
Thank you for another excellent video! I'm planning to give CarPro DarkSide a try. While CarPro BlackOut tire coating is considered the best, it's a bit pricey for my budget.
I bought 1L of Darkside during a sale and I expect the bottle to last me many many applications. I appreciate the pump for applying to my applicator and I am very happy with the appearance and durability. I was pleased with my bottle of Adams Graphene, but I like Darkside more and the 1 L bottle made it a great value at the time of my purchase.
Hello Pan. Unfortunately in Europe, and Greece especially, we lack most of the products you showcase. From my small experience Darksider on first application seems really greasy, even after wiping with a dry microfiber cloth. It also attract dust. After a week, and a maintenance wash the look of the tyre has superb looks and a very natural finish. For me Carpro Perl, neat or 1:2, has the same optical effect as Darkside, without the side effect of attracted dust. Added bonus, its also very versatile
I’ve been using Chemical Guys VRP as a tire shine for around 5 years, but I might give Adams Graphene a try. I’m not a huge fan of super high gloss tires. I like a deep black with just a little gloss. I’ve never had a customer complain about the VRP and I use it on my own vehicles, it only lacks a bit on the longevity side.
VRP was one of my favourites a few years ago, the only issue was its durability. It has a perfect finish, and super easy to apply, but won't really last more than a week or so, especially if the car goes through rain or if you wash the car. All four of these tire dressings in this video surpass VRP now. And I recently have been testing a new dressing I like as much as DarkSide. This one: bit.ly/3Wmtmee
I've used a lot of dressings including Adam's graphene, shine supply tire dressing, jax wax, but got introduced to night hawk brand SGS and its the best dressing I've ever used
Hello I have been using Carpro Darkside for a year now. It is the best that I have used. I used it on my tires (275 60 20) and cowl below the windshield wipers.Just don't use it on your rubber car mats because they will become very slippery.
Wheels and tires are not my favorite, but to me the Carpro darkside would be one i would chose, it looks awesome, just the sheen i like, and being a sealant would be a benefit!
Coming from some one who details as well. Tire+ is a fantastic tire dressing, I go back and forth between Tire+ & Darkside by Carpro. Tire+ is not meant to be applied heavily to save the user product. It repels water and dirt does not need additional buffing to reduce gloss when it dries it leaves a perfect finish also has the advantage being water based it applies easier and gets into all those tight places. Where as in my personal use something like Darkside takes a little more elbow grease. Both have there advantages in the detail industry none the less great review pan many blessings to you and everyone who watched the video.
Thanks! I used that Meguiar’s when I was younger but it’s one of those “glazed donut” looks oily and deep wet look that isn’t for me personally and it had the tendency to sling a lot on the paint, regardless of how well we’d prep the tires. Do you have slinging issues with it?
@@PanTheOrganizer No slinging issues Pan, that said I always like having different products on my detailing shelf so, thanks to your review, I’ll try the CarPro Darkside 👍
I love dark side. Going to try 3D’s new Glw ceramic tire dressing. See if that gives around 80% of the durability and application timeframe as Darkside but for cheaper.
I will try the Adams Graphene Tire dressing since I have AT truck tires, I have to brush the dressing into the large lugs on the side wall and a pump product would be a headache... Thanks for the video Pan..
Having bigger truck tires, using carpro darkside and the hex applicator saves a lot of time. That bottle just leaks and leaks though after usage. I wish carpro would fix that
I have been using the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine Spray Coating for my tires and plastic trim. It is an okay tire dressing, but I LOVE it fora long lasting trim dressing, I even think the graphene in it helps keep water spots from forming on the trim. Armour has a new tire sealant now called GHOST - Tire Sealant, you might have a review on it already, but it's one I really want to try for my tires, I don't know if it can be used on trim.
Hi Pan, I’ve been using Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel, 16 oz. and have been very satisfied. I don’t recall if you’ve tested it. Thanks for the very thorough review of these products. I may give the CarPro Darkside a try once I run out of the Meguiars.

Mahalo for another great video, battle of four giants! They seem very similar, I'd have to judge by longevity and price. A product I've used in the past is Armorall Xtreme tire, I'm not sure of the longevity, but the effect is amazingly dark and wet/slick looking, which I was on the fence about.
There are two kinds of tire dressings 1) Coating 2) Sealant. Pan have you ever discussed this, and whats your though of one vs the other. I always understood that the sealant will last longer and be more protective.to the rubber.
I did actually discuss this quite a few times. Don't forget there are 1000 videos on my channel so far, and new ones added twice weekly. I likely have covered any topic you can think of in the detailing space. There are actually three general types of "tire dressings". 1) regular tire dressings that will last one to three weeks (those can be solvent based, or water based in general) 2) tire sealants (like CarPro DarkSide) which can last up to a month to two months 3) tire coatings (like CarPro BlackOut) that can last many months (up to 6 months in the case of BlackOut, in the right conditions) I made a video on DarkSide here: ua-cam.com/video/1diLQrCaj6s/v-deo.htmlsi=5of7yMHA7cMrnRit A video on BlackOut here: ua-cam.com/video/oC2Rg-SEzCc/v-deo.htmlsi=GSrVrT4ZBwBJ8yRo

You have to test Adam's Tire Armor sealant, it's a brand new formula. It's a Carpro Darkside competitor. Really quick drying, crazy durable and can be used on porous black plastic trim also. I think it should take first place in your awards video this year. I use the TA as a base and top with graphene tire dressing after each wash.
Perl cut with 40% water or OG. Haven't tried Armour because the other two work so well. Adam's gums up the brushes when the next tire cleaning is done. Note: the longer the dressing lasts, the more road funk is going to gunk up on the tires.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with the OG tire dressing. Gives a nice look and if you reapply often it always looks great and doesn’t give a nasty gunky buildup layer.
@@PanTheOrganizer Another useful step when switching brands of dressing... is to strip the tires using mineral spirits or Tarmenator. Some brands won't layer over top of each other diminishing the results.
After winning Pan’s previous tire dressing competition I have been using the Adams and have been through a few bottles. Very pleased with application and results, but I seem to go through it fairly quickly. Always willing to try less expensive options.
I wash my vehicles approximately every other week. So it lasts for the two weeks just fine. I assume you also thoroughly clean the tires each time you wash the car as I do so the durability hasn’t been an issue. I appreciate your work
It’s too oily wet looking for me unfortunately. And I tend to prefer water based dressings. The Meguiar’s is petroleum/solvent based and from my memory (I used it 15 years ago) it was slinging a lot regardless of how well you’d prep the tires. Does it still sling?
@@PanTheOrganizer Yeah it does but not so much if you keep it curing for a bit and dont put 2 much on tyre cause the effect is the same if you put a little or 2 much but I find it more water and dirt repelant than the water based ones tho I didnt use these ones from your video I try them out then I let you know.
Currently using Autoglm performance tyre gel, its a clear pink gel that does work well. Id say 4 weeks but 5 to 6 weeks with just the jetting effect. It will survive only one car wash too but after week 1 or 2 only. Its way better then its other tyre shine, I've not idea why their other product is still being made as its utter crap, it'll wash off in the standing rain after day one. So if you are using Autoglym products just use the Performance Tyre gel its reasonable. When it runs out im onto Carpro Darkside. Ive just bought a trial sized bottle that'll do 2 cars so I will do my own testing. No doubt Carpro darkside will be a winner
Great video as usual Pan… can’t lie. My go to is Hybrid Solutions. Even in higher end complete details I love this product. Definitely 2 applications are necessary. As a test vehicle, I get 3-4 weeks durability in messy Ontario. Lots of sand and salt. I usually do 2 maintenance washes per week. Cheers!
I like the way the Adams looks, that you can buy it in bulk and their instructional videos, not overly shiny but I like that the turtle wax has acrylic. As for another potential contender, Mckees 37 graphene dressing? Good video and even though I actually like the lovers in a certain way you were very scientific and realistic in your test!
So this cleans and "dresses" the tire in one step? I'll assume not a shiny dressing which is fine, I'm just looking for a one step that will clean and darken/richen tires.
@@kirkwilson5900 that's fine too - but I'm a DIY guy and leave it to the pros - like any prep - tires have to be Clean before finishing. Says “permanent” nothing is “permanent” accept death and taxes. Another subject. Two coats for gloss. For one lasts about 60 days and stays.
#3 had a really nice level of shine and satin as well , perfect blend and had a slight bronze look? maybe just my phone or my old eyes , either way i liked 3 the best, thanks @Pan the Organizer!!
Here in the Netherlands we only have carpro and turtle. I've tested darkside and blackout on my car. I really love the shine and durability on my gloss-black wheels It matches my expectations and outdoes blackout by a mile. I applyed blackout on my bridgestone tyres and for some reason the coating didn't want to stick to the tyre. After 3 weeks it was gone. I reported this to the dealer and he gave me my money back
Great review on great products!!!….myself and my professional detailer swear on Optimum Tire Protection and Coating!….application and drying does take longer than others, but durability is second to none; especially when you apply 2 coats!…..what do you think?
I used it in the past and it was very good indeed. I made a video here: ua-cam.com/video/1VSPW0NpQAo/v-deo.htmlsi=0-JdBq-WlTlofq8- Perhaps they updated the formula since that video was filmed 4-5 years ago. But it’s tedious to apply. I now prefer CarPro BlackOut for extreme durability.
TW has endured decently for me but that nice color definitely goes away quick. I live in SoCal btw. I'll consider trying DarkSide once I'm done with my TW bottle.
Carpro dark side for me. Tried and tested it for 2 months now. Applied it twice. Even if the satin effect is gone, the water beading effect is still there. You know it still repels dirt and water, mud, etc. Good cleaning properties as well during maintenance wash. More power to your show. Keep up the good work 👏
Great video Pan. I use carpro Blackout 3 to 4 eeks top it of with carpro darkside then Bi week use Adam's graphene tire dressing. I have use feynlab black velvet tire sealant i like all of them
I’ve been using Adam’s graphene and have great results plus every few months they do a sale that’s either buy one get one of buy one get one for half off. I stock up on the bogo.

The tires should be your step 1....🤨🤨 But dressing them is final step
One factor that affects the cost is product durability. If you have to apply it twice as often, your cost has just doubled - not to mention the extra investment of your time.
Of course, this only applies to those who wash and detail on an as-needed basis, not those who do so on a fixed schedule.
What’s your go-to tire dressing?
I detailed a bunch of cars at Barrett Jackson last month and we used Adams Graphene Tire Dressing. Loved the application and we got a lot of compliments on the look
For sure! 👍🏻
That would make a great video seeing how the cars get done before going on the block

I also use Daekside and I use VRP. The point you make that is spot on is longevity. I agree a couple to a few weeks at best is what they last. With that being said most people may as well buy the least expensive options and reapply often.
I've seen on other videos that Pan likes VRP. I use it and like the less shiny look. I apply after every wash since I use tire/wheel cleaner.
Thanks Neil!
Hi Pan, I use Adams exclusively on my rides. Find it to have the look I like, not too glossy, rich black color and lasts a while. Thank you for all your videos.
@@kenkuczek610 Adam's all day long.....love it
I decided months ago, that I'm going to try carpro DarkSide this summer. This video just helped reinforce my decision. All the pro detailers seem to prefer this one as well. Thanks for another great comparative and unbiased video Pan. ❤
Thanks Linda!
I highly recommend it! Just started using it this past fall. A nice upgrade from opti-bond tire gel, which is also a good product!
One of my favorite dressings for sure, I go back and forth between Tire+ and Perl diluted 1-1
Is it on Amazon????
@@Lucabrasi23soon😊
Yeah a little goes a long way with DarkSide.
@@koniko169 which brushes do you use? Could you send over the name and/or where you ordered them from?
Favorite tire dressing: Cristal! Looks great ( high gloss ) and lasts a long, long time!
Adam's Graphene for me. Super happy with it
👍🏻
@@airsoftincompetence I might try the Carpro next. I do love the Adam's applicator pad though.
Thanks!
I think you have #1 and #2 spot on. I’ve used both and my results mirror yours. I think the CarPro Blackout is just beyond what I would want to spend.
Thanks!
Thank you soooo much Pan, love to watch all of your videos!!😀👍🏻
Same here, CarPro DarkSide! After testing and using a lot of products over years, DarkSide became my favorite! It isn't too much expensive because it lasts a long time and you don't need so much product.
CarPro is my absolute favorite car care brand.😊
Good choice! Thanks Ralf!
Currently using CarPro dark side with pretty good results. The TW product goes on well but wasn’t as durable as they claim. Browned on my daily driver within a few weeks
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing!
Carpro Darkside is my favorite, lasts longer than most, on the more expensive side. But the amount of customers who told me they were surprised at how long the tire looked great speaks for itself in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing!
its been about 2 months since i applied two coats of the turtle wax tire shine and, though the tire don't see any winter salt or mud, its been holding up pretty amazing. The edges are the only place where the dressing has worn off, but the rest of the tire is matt black and beading water like crazy. I usually don't even need to scrub them just spray it with my pressure washer.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience!
D3 Renew Protect Blak and Satin tire dressing, I like to use.
Yasou Pan,
Thank you for the video on tire dressing. I watch your 2023 awards and bought the CarPro Darkside. It lasted over two months before I had to reply it using CarPro Retyre. It has incredible water beating results plus the tires look brand new!
NIKOS
Great to hear!
Bought Darkside last week as I wanted to try it and find carpro products pretty good on the whole, and impressed with ease of application and the appearance when applied. Time will tell on the durability but the fact this won your test, pleases me 😊
Thanks for sharing!
I'm going for TW. My bias is somewhat seasonal. It's winter here in Michigan, so I'm interested in longer-term protection, and the value is a bonus.
How long does it typically last in your conditions?
Acrylic will absolutely last longer than silicone. I found the turtle wax is king in terms of longevity
@@PanTheOrganizer 4-5 weeks in terms of longevity, less than 2 weeks for the gloss.
Haven’t tried these products personally, my go to has always been the Lucas tire shine, until recently DIY Details Tire Lotion became my #1! Have my eyes set on the car pro tire dressing
Thanks for sharing! How long does the DIY Detail dressing last for you on average, in your conditions?
great video Pan, Infinity Wax Tyre Coat is what i use, very good results especially through the Scottish winters (1-2 months), Express Sealant (spray/rinse) also good for quickly protecting the alloys. I have the TW GA Tire Shine to try in the spring.
Agreed Pan, good stuff. Can’t go wrong with CarPro products. I also still like a 50/50 Pearl mix as a good tire dressing
Yes that’s a classic too! 👍🏻
@timkinley1779 great info thanks for sharing. I have yet to try perl
The only one I’ve used is the turtle wax Graphene. I love it. I haven’t used anything else since. It lasts weeks and makes cleaning so easy. Gives a nice dark appearance for a long time. Can’t beat the price either.
Great value indeed! 👍🏻 How long does it typically last in your conditions?
@@PanTheOrganizer I do wash my car every 2 weeks so it always looks great until then. But I have gone as long as a month and I still see the darkening effect and no real build up of dirt on the tires.
Hi Pan, thanks for a great comparison review. Based on your past review of the Hybrid Solutions products, I use the Turtle wax tire dressing. Best! Costa
Thanks Costa!
I personally love using Koch Chemi PSS applied with a microfibre sponge applicator and a spray trigger head put onto their bottle. Works fantastic!
It does apply like magic! Another good one. I agree!
It gives a very matte appearance but I just can’t stand the noxious solvents in PSS.
I use either carpro darkside or chemical guys VRP but find that carpro darkside last 4-5 weeks in Colorado winters and VRP lasts 1-2 weeks.
That sounds about right! 👍🏻
Of all the tires to chose to display the effects of the tire shines, I like the Blizzacks as a great choice. One of the best tires out there. And the tire shine looks great on blizzacks. 👍
Im the UK and we have Garage Therapy Tyre Serum. More of a conditioner. Lovely lovely product.
Many viewers from the UK seem to like that dressing.
Damn, winter is heck here in Canada for a DIY weekend warrior without an interior garage… can’t wait for spring! Keep up the great videos Pan!
Certainly is! Reduced to the local self serve bays 😢
Thanks!
Underground mall parking lots ftw
I use the turtle wax HS and meguiars endurance gel and both are very durable. Turtle wax for less shine and MEG for more shine. Currently our three vehicles are going on 3 weeks with several rain storms in that span here in south Texas and the coatings are still noticeably present. I wanted to try dark side but I keep reading reviews that it does not survive a single rain storm.
I'm all in with the Gyeon tire options Q2 Tire & Q2M Tire Express
+1 with darkside. It is great that it isn’t water based like the others, as I found products like Pearl faded quickly after a rain storm. Longevity, looks and applicability make it the best of the bunch in my experience.
I agree!
You should definitely include our Feynlab Tire sealant in your next review; you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results.
Darkside is my favorite. Thanks as always Pan. Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks, you too!
Love the video, very thorough testing going into all possible details!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Stephen!
I love hearing about products that I've never heard about so that I can test them.
I'm going to try the Turtle Wax one since I saw it at Walmart this weekend. Just ran out of my old stuff and want to try something new! Thanks Pan for keeping me up to date on all these new products!
Thanks for watching Henri!
I'm going to try Carpro Darkside. That satin finish is exactly what I'm looking for in a tire dressing. I have Adams Graphene Tire Dressing, but the darkening effect only lasted three days on my daily driver.
I use optimum opti bond tire gel works absolutely amazing
Do you use it with an air sprayer?
👍🏻
Thanks for sharing.
Dark side is number 1 with a fact.. easy to apply and last long enough for me.. I've tried turtle wax previously it was average as you said but not bad .. also tried Amazon's exclusive brand blending pros tire dressing, it was better than the turtle wax.
Oh really? I haven’t tried Amazon branded detailing products yet.
@@PanTheOrganizer yes.. sad you didn't try out the 3d ceramic tire gloss. Would love to see a review of that and your opinion and longevity ..

Great video Pan. Darkside is on my list. I recently got Labocosmetica Nero and really like the look and application of that. I do knock down the gloss a bit with a towel after about 30 minutes.
I’ve been using CarPro Perl since it came out, but I’m curiously drawn to the Dark Side.
You would love it!
Good review; however I don't care what it looks like; I only want the best UV protection, to make sure tyres, and rubber parts, are safe and last for as long as possible!
The longest lasting is for sure DarkSide. It's the one I use the most.
I use.
Carpro perl or
Local chemical company makes a silicone 'super wet look' tyre dressing.
Some customers like the shine, others like the more natural look of carpro.
Thank you for another excellent video! I'm planning to give CarPro DarkSide a try. While CarPro BlackOut tire coating is considered the best, it's a bit pricey for my budget.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing!
PERL is very good! 👍🏻
I've used a lot of dressings including Adam's graphene, shine supply tire dressing, jax wax, but got introduced to night hawk brand SGS and its the best dressing I've ever used
Thanks for sharing. I never heard of that brand. Are they from the USA?
I have been using CarPro PERL since 4 years now. But the problem is it feds away within a day (or in few hours). On Plastic, nothing can beat PERL.
Hello
I have been using Carpro Darkside for a year now. It is the best that I have used. I used it on my tires (275 60 20) and cowl below the windshield wipers.Just don't use it on your rubber car mats because they will become very slippery.
👍🏻👍🏻
Wheels and tires are not my favorite, but to me the Carpro darkside would be one i would chose, it looks awesome, just the sheen i like, and being a sealant would be a benefit!
Good choice!
Thanks for sharing your personal experience!
If you like DarkSide you would probably like Labocosmetica Nero. It's very similar but applies and spreads more easily.
Good review Pan. My tyre dressing of choice is Meg’s Endurance Tyre Gel, produces a deep gloss finish which I like.
My pleasure Katrina! And yes in your situation a spray type dressing with a brush would be a more appropriate option.
Having bigger truck tires, using carpro darkside and the hex applicator saves a lot of time. That bottle just leaks and leaks though after usage. I wish carpro would fix that
👍🏻
I have been using the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Graphene Acrylic Tire Shine Spray Coating for my tires and plastic trim. It is an okay tire dressing, but I LOVE it fora long lasting trim dressing, I even think the graphene in it helps keep water spots from forming on the trim. Armour has a new tire sealant now called GHOST - Tire Sealant, you might have a review on it already, but it's one I really want to try for my tires, I don't know if it can be used on trim.

💪🏻💪🏻
There are two kinds of tire dressings 1) Coating 2) Sealant. Pan have you ever discussed this, and whats your though of one vs the other. I always understood that the sealant will last longer and be more protective.to the rubber.
I did actually discuss this quite a few times. Don't forget there are 1000 videos on my channel so far, and new ones added twice weekly. I likely have covered any topic you can think of in the detailing space. There are actually three general types of "tire dressings".
1) regular tire dressings that will last one to three weeks (those can be solvent based, or water based in general)
2) tire sealants (like CarPro DarkSide) which can last up to a month to two months
3) tire coatings (like CarPro BlackOut) that can last many months (up to 6 months in the case of BlackOut, in the right conditions)
I made a video on DarkSide here: ua-cam.com/video/1diLQrCaj6s/v-deo.htmlsi=5of7yMHA7cMrnRit

How long does the Adam’s last for you on average Donald?
I wash my vehicles approximately every other week. So it lasts for the two weeks just fine.
I assume you also thoroughly clean the tires each time you wash the car as I do so the durability hasn’t been an issue.
I appreciate your work
I use Meguiars endurance tyre gel and I can tell you its amazing and long lasting
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing!
I use the TW hybrid solutions & VRP. None last long anyway so I’m not spending a fortune. The suds lab one is another one I like.
Thanks for sharing!
My favorite is Tuf Shine. Two-part wash and seal.
I would’ve liked to see Adam’s Graphene VRT in this test. I use it instead of Adam’s graphene tire dressing, it’s really nice
#3 had a really nice level of shine and satin as well , perfect blend and had a slight bronze look? maybe just my phone or my old eyes , either way i liked 3 the best, thanks @Pan the Organizer!!
Thanks for watching!
I reported this to the dealer and he gave me my money back
Thanks for sharing your personal experience!
Great review on great products!!!….myself and my professional detailer swear on Optimum Tire Protection and Coating!….application and drying does take longer than others, but durability is second to none; especially when you apply 2 coats!…..what do you think?
I used it in the past and it was very good indeed. I made a video here: ua-cam.com/video/1VSPW0NpQAo/v-deo.htmlsi=0-JdBq-WlTlofq8-
Perhaps they updated the formula since that video was filmed 4-5 years ago.
But it’s tedious to apply. I now prefer CarPro BlackOut for extreme durability.
Big fan of the graphene, adding Darkside on top is a nice mix.
But if using just one, Adams graphene for me
👍🏻
I like using Malco Aqua Bead, I’ve used it on semi trucks. they get really muddy and even after being degreased they still have some shine!
Never tried that one, but Malco does make some good products.
How long does it normally last for you?
Great video pan! I will be sticking with chemical guys VRP because it’s water based and great for the price and gives the appearance I like best. ✌🏼
Yes that’s a classic for sure. If only they could make it last 3-4 weeks!
Do you dilute it or use it full strength? I've heard some people dilute it
@@kirkwilson5900 I use it full strength it works better that way, and it’s cheap!
TW has endured decently for me but that nice color definitely goes away quick. I live in SoCal btw. I'll consider trying DarkSide once I'm done with my TW bottle.
👍🏻
Carpro dark side for me. Tried and tested it for 2 months now. Applied it twice. Even if the satin effect is gone, the water beading effect is still there. You know it still repels dirt and water, mud, etc. Good cleaning properties as well during maintenance wash. More power to your show. Keep up the good work 👏

I’ve been using Adam’s graphene and have great results plus every few months they do a sale that’s either buy one get one of buy one get one for half off. I stock up on the bogo.
