I don't know what video I left a comment on, about the way this man speaks... BUT I feel like an absolute dirtbag for having even left a comment, at all... I watch UA-cam videos most of my days, as I have chronic, debilitating medical conditions.. but I don't ever look into the life story of the posters... I get VERY angry when ppl assume that I'm fine, bc you can't tell by looking at me, then I did that to this man.... I am soooo sorry for being a hypocrite... please know I am sincere.. furthermore, I would like to say thank you for your informational, and helpful videos on 318 motors... and a BIGGER thank you for being inspirational.. not many ppl I look up to, but YOU are now one of them... I think you are an amazing person for doing wut you do, especially with autism and brain damage... this isn't as much owning up to my talking shit about how u speak, as it is letting you know that I think you are an amazing person, and I wish I could be more like you... THANK YOU, SIR...

I'm at 195,000 miles. On my 5.2 liter 318 Magnum V8. My Heater Core went. Did a successful bypass. Then the Waterpump bearing went. The Impeller first squeeking. Then grinding against the pump housing. So I got that off. Then the Tensioner Bracket off. With Ignition Coil still attached. Cleaning & repainting each Rust Oleum Gloss Black. Along with the cooling fan. And metal O - Ringed Bypass Pipe. But, since I need the AC Compressor off the engine. And freon lines disconnected to replace the Heater Core ($55 at AutoZone with AC). I'll replace that short, middle, rubber bypass hose. And why not. Pull off the Timing Cover replace the gasket. Replace the Timing Chain + Gears. The Front Main Seal while I'm this far in - only $75 more. For a great tune up. And a cleaned up engine ready for a steam clean (removing Alternator first). Then, with the whole cooling system restored onto the Suspension. Then an engine rebuild at 250,000 miles. New Camshaft. Lifters. Valve Springs, Bearing Caps on the crank. Honing Cylinder Walls. Sanding the Valve Seat Edges at three angles. A New Mopar Aluminum Plenum Pan. Maybe new Heads if old ones are cracked. But a rebuilt engine ready for 200,000 more miles or more. Then thrown out by 2032 for an Electric Lithium Ion Powered Engine with a 300 mile plus Range. And Charge Plug Inputs by the Gas Cap.

@@TattsForLife Yeah. Watching a ton of rebuild videos. The cool thing about doing UA-cam Vanlife is. If your street smart enough, here in L.A. without a driveway or garage, you can find a Slumlord owned strip mall easily. Park in the rear for literally a month (not in the hood, I'm 2 miles from the beach in Torrance). Take your time removing the water pump, AC Compressor (and all the freon lines because my heater core went & did a bypass from learning from UA-cam videos, never did one) and alternator. Then the timing Cover and sprockets and chain. Replace the middle bypass hose from water pump to Plenum (nobody ever does) replace the thermostat & housing. The electrical switch next to it (nobody ever does that). Degrease the whole front of the engine under the Alternator/AC Bracket. Clean it good. Repaint the radiator fan, Metal O - Ring hose, Ignition Coil and it's bracket (new tensioner). And Thermostat housing if it's salvageable - all Rust Oleum Gloss black. Now this completely oil baked, caked (oil change filler metal tube going from over radiator to front of driver's side valve cover clamp was ajar for years spilling quarts of new oil on the engine and under the Compressor bracket for years) engine is ready to be steam cleaned top to bottom (with alternator removed). Then rebuilt after 200,000 miles by 2025'ish. Then an electric engine installed by 2032. If the body and frame isn't rusted out like a VW Bus. Also with the big doghouse on these B250's I can pull the heads off from the inside. Even take the front bumper off, store it in back, & cover the front end with a tarp. Pull the Camshaft. And do a rebuild right here in this back lot. Easily. Over weeks, and the owner of the property won't care because I'm smart enough not to have my hood open. Or tools laying around, lowering property values (near the beach) and causing Karen or her husband ken from calling the cops. Sweet deal.

I think its due to the lack of oi or oil quailty, A ford and a small block usaly does a good job of oiling the chain, heat has alot to do with chain wear to, but I seen chains look like new 150,000 miles on cars with normal oil changes and quality full synthic oil brand, I think if proper cared for the timing chain should last the lifetime of the car

Pull the distributor cap, turn engine over by hand backwards until the rotor begins to move. Then very carefully turn the engine the correct way while watching the crank degrees until the rotor moves again. That would be taking up the slack in the chain. If the crank rotation is more than 7 to 10 degrees before the slack is out of the chain then it is definitely time for a new one.

idk I never tryed not to line them up, but I heard if you dont line the dots up then engine will be out of time when you start it, then you could make the engine piston hit the engines valve, because the crank rotates the pistons and the cam works the valve the dots make sure the cam and crank are at the right rotation
