The hills in this game are so perfect and really nice, you don't see them much in other city builders but the way when the house was being built and you could see the slope in the distance was so beautiful.

I love the realism of the game! (Though I imagine real medieval peasants would start farming from jump, but I like the flexibility of being able to do some other things instead of being locked into farming at the beginning)
I mean, yeah. Real medieval people didn't really need an extra farm, they probably just used their own houses as their work building and also the beer was usually brewed by the wives at home. Not every village had a tavern, because they don't really needed one. But I understand that this is still a game and it makes it easier to understand to just build certain buildings and then those buildings produce certain stuff. I also think windmills were not that common in the 13th century, most mills were watermills.
@@Kuhmuhnistische_Partei It's set in the late 14th century, based on Franconia. While waterwheels certainly remained more common, there were already an estimated 10k-12k windmills in the UK alone. The tower windmill type, where only the top can be rotated instead of the entire building, came around in the 14th century as well, so it makes sense that a newly build mill might be of that new design. I think the bigger farm buildings - considering how many families can work there - represent large farmsteads, but yeah, realistically, I assume each home with a family could tend a smaller one-family-field instead of working elsewhere. At least they partially do that with the vegetable gardens.
This game is outstanding so far. If the combat is thought out and enjoyable . . This game will change gaming for good. Just imagine the pace it would have. One moment you're peacefully building up ( as in the demo) and next you have a giant battle outside your city. All that will absolutely affect the town. Disease , death of family members, etc..
