Age of Empires Definitive Edition: Classic Mode Random Map

- Age of Empires from 1997 is my second most played game of my childhood. So I decided to play a random map in classic mode on the Definitive Edition.
I wanted this to be a quick 30 minute game but ended up being 47 minutes long. But did better then I thought as I decided to finally get really aggressive with collecting resources and surviving because the A.I in this game cheats like hell, even on the easiest difficulty.
Specs of this game-play are:
Team 1: Green & Red - Shang
Team 2: Blue & Yellow - Choson
Team 3: Brown & Orange - Yamato
Game Type: Random Map
Map Type: Hill Country
Map Size: Huge
Reveal Map: Normal
Population Limit: 250
Resources: High
Victory Type: Conquest
Difficulty: Hardest
Speed: Very Fast
Game Mode: Classic
P.S. This ended up being a really good game in the end, as the A.I didn't completely try to destroy my civilization as it had it's own trying to take itself out.

I wish age of empires 2 had a classic mode in their campaign I miss the old graphics and skeletons

Only thing I wished they kept was the old interface too if you went classic graphics, miss the colours on the portraits.

Yeah, I got a bad case of OCD, I am James May, because my sense of direction is horrible lol
The problem with Classic Mode, is the pop limit for the cpu is still 50 so it’s virtually pointless to play. It’s too bad they didn’t try to do a bit more with classic mode like walking through farms, better path finding etc.
I love this mode of the game but hate that you cant zoom in more 😂

Yeah you should be able to zoom in and see the pixels if you like, there is also real time upscaling and interpolation so no real reason to not do it

when u make a random game see there's an option "game mode" at the lower right. select classic
Can I play this on default intel iris graphics card? Will it be sufficient or slow or not supported?
2.4ghz i5 CPU and Nvidia GTX 650 which I think is 1gb of video memory. I think Intel iris might run it but it might be slow.

I got lucky with this play through, usually the AI attacks me way earlier, even on easy.
