As someone who plays every tank exept warrior above 3k while (ofc) maining DH im pretty sad about the tanking situation. Lets be honest here, whenever im not on Dh or pally I permanently feel like: "wait where the fuck is my utility". The amount these 2 specs bring are just not even comparable to what the other 4 bring. Like imo its not even remotly close. Something realy has to change. Im sad about monk. If every tank would be close i would main monk
100%. I played BDK and then settled on Brew this season. Got my Brew to just shy of 3.1k but very unlucky with trinkets combined with starting to die/group deaths to missed kicks, ended up giving PPal a go again. The difference between my ability to control a pack containing multiple casters is just unreal. It's so bad unless there are major changes in either direction (other 4 get stronger or 2 meta get nerfed) - I cannot honestly see how VDH and PPal aren't just straight up meta again in S4. And like you, I really love my Brew, it's so fun, fast paced and different to the other tanks.
@@mattc6056 jea i realy dont know why theres not more people talking about that. If Dps is insanly unbalanced i hear people crying. If tanks habe that problem noone seems to care 😂
I Main paly and definitely feel that way. Tried out VDH and while alot of fun, I didn't feel like it had alot to use the same way paly does. Recently tried brew out and it's definitely my favorite bc it's unique and very engaging, just wish for more utility and tankiness
Every season I say "this is the one where I main brewmaster" as I tend to only play tanks. But then, as I get them ready for the next season I always change my mind as their rotation has so many abilities to be effective it gives me hand cramps lol. And back I go to another tank. I really hope they get some button bloat removed in the next xpac. Also Monk should got the brez, not paladin in Df!
Your guides are unreal. Brew is my lowkey favourite tank (I play them all between 3-3.8k rio) but the problem is that with such complexity, number of spells etc, this class HAD to be performing above all other tanks when used at skill cap. Something like S1 arcane mage - you choose to go through all that effort, you need to be getting a reward from it. Not go through all that and the result being below a prot pally who smashes 3 abilities most of the time.
Thank you! It's true, Blizzard missed so hard on the effort/reward payoff for Monk. If it was brought back to being a super-simple tank like it was its entire lifespan, then the numerical performance right now would be totally fine! Unfortunately, it's not, and it's not!
Does blackout combo even impact RSK? The tooltip says it doesn't but it wouldn't be the first time blizzard/wowhead didn't have a tooltip accurately reflect the game.

Far more willing to endure the mental hardship of perfecting the Brew rotation than I am suffering through a boring Paladin tank class. Not sure what happens to my Monk tank if/when Breath of Fire healing goes away next patch/xpac.
Part of the appeal of monk to me is that it's unpopular. Has too many buttons to press, IMO, but overall it feels pretty good to play. Thanks for all the info!
More keybinds and more complicated class is.. you should get rewarded with crazy stuff.. Simple class.. rewarded with simple things.. it should be like that... I hear people complaining how they want their class to be super simple but to give best damage or be tanky etc.. that will ruin this game.. If someone want 2 button class... play mage.. I planning to try out Brewmaster, got bored of all others.. Ty for amazing video
I dont care how good the other tanks are monk is life i just dont get the same buzz playing my dh i mean yeah its good and you have a lot of things but the brewmaster challenge is what i like. Being in the top 20 brews on my realm also makes me feel good lol
I honestly feel like all 3 of the tier sets that they got aren't that special. Including season 3 None of them compare to the iconic tier set from Shadowlands that gave them Max HP/Healing from Keg Smash
Surprisingly, yeah! They've both been fighting really hard throughout this season to be last place, but Monk finally jumped ahead (behind?) in that race recently.
They are definitely the worst tanks lol. They have the worst survivability, can't group mobs, and don't really do comparatively anything to control mobs.

I love how fast they are.
After maining a BDK for years it's such a quality of life improvement.
DK does feel real slow.

We can relate to these sentiments.

yeah I ended up swapping to prot pally after like 2 weeks of Brew in S4 lol

It does when buffed by Press the Advantage.

Fingers crossed they do something that's interesting and adds a meaningful amount of damage without losing any of the great self-healing!
For sure gonna try out some Brew in s4, seems interesting
It's pretty fun!

Fair enough! Thanks for watching :)
I am trying to figure out i am level 64 trying to get the self healing where is it all coming from so i can sustain my own health
Expel Harm and Celestial Brew are your main sources of self-defense. Be sure to keep using Purifying Brew, as well.
This is a fantastic guide, but I don’t think that Blackout Kick has any effect on Rising Sun Kick
With a Press the Advantage buff ready, it does.
@@WoWatNight When I was watching the video I was confused by it too but then I read your comment and realized the effect of the last sentence on PtA

What is this magic Macro on your 2 button? Its rolling through your spells?
Alt-mod macros. Just a simple way to fit a bunch more skills in without adding a ton of keybinds!
Bursting can be dealt with on themselves with diffuse magic. Just not group wise.
True. That usually isn't necessary, but it's technically possible. You can spam Vivify into other players if you really want to help out, too.

Yup!
I play Brewmaster because I drink boat load of brews in real life.
Solid reasoning.
I love monk..I'm doing +8 in season 4 atm soloing bosses lol
Yeah that's a classic Monk thing to do
I prefer the tanking and healing of the monk. I prefer a class that can do all 3 specs, tank, heal and DPS. Monk replaced my druid .
Very nice!
same!! being playing druid for maybe 4 to 5 years? Already bored. after switched to monk, i swaer i can never go back.
Well in my Opinion id rather be top 3 but really be good at what i do then be first because the meta wants me to
True!
I still don’t like that it feels like a DK without the massive healing
Sort of like it, sure.
I honestly feel like all 3 of the tier sets that they got aren't that special. Including season 3
None of them compare to the iconic tier set from Shadowlands that gave them Max HP/Healing from Keg Smash
Very true.
3:33 try prot warrior
Llarold plays tons of Prot Warrior, and it has significantly less binds than Brewmaster.
Just play whatever class you enjoy
Indeed
Less popular than Prot war ?!?!?!
Surprisingly, yeah! They've both been fighting really hard throughout this season to be last place, but Monk finally jumped ahead (behind?) in that race recently.
Brewmaster video. Thumbnail using Tiger Stance. Fraud detected.
Tiger Stance hasn't existed since 2016!
Yeah playing wow is the same as training to be an Olympic athlete lol
