I just wanted to follow up and say I finally finished this video. I have been playing on and off since I was a teen and im 35 rn. I tried out some things from about half way point of this video last night (keybindings / action bar setups with the shift and ctrl for second and third sets and Q /E for slot 7 and 8, auto combat, combined bags, turning char adjustments, auto run/walk toggle) and tonight ill try out the second half in game (adding my 'kick' for my class i googled it looks like wind shear for shamens, add ons, getting mining and herb as professions, warband quests/banks, color of flightpaths, deff wanna make a mage for portals teleports lol) super appreciate you lucky ghost! always the best been following ya since i started on ESO a few years back ! Always learning new things from you!
id maybe reccomend one profession that gathers, and one profession that crafts. that way you can craft materials from what you gather. as you can get some pretty nifty items and gear from some. but getting the resources can be costly if you cant gather yourself

I haven't played WoW since a friend let me play Cataclysm on his account way back in the day and lately I've had a great time with FFXIV and decided to give WoW a try to have a bit of variety. I've been feeling discouraged because a lot of people complain about the new or returning player experience being overwhelming and I would absolutely agree. But this crash course turned it into a cakewalk. You really told me everything I needed to know to really get into the game and I am really grateful for making it as easy and painless as you did. Gonna tell everyone else I know who has reservations about picking WoW up or back up about this guide.

@@LuckyGhost As we know, with the game being this old and this complex as it is an MMO, and as you are capable of simplifying and explaining things well, I would suggest you to do another video, that goes into more detailed things about systems, how they work and for example, how PvP activities work. That is, if you deem it being worth the time, for new players I am sure it would be worth it to watch or listen to it if they just find it.
bro this guide and the things you said were so accurate. On a lot of cases you referred to things that new players think or go through and it was funny how you pointed out things I was doing or experiencing that I haven't even noticed hahaha. One of the best guides I've seen for any games on Yt.

I use the Tukui UI add-on because it's amazing for easy layouts, if anyone wants a quick way to sort your screen out into necessities and make it all consistent and nice plus you can copy the settings across to all your characters really easily

Something I did not find an answer yet is about Chromie. It allows to play old expansion (thing I want to do since I missed many of them). However, when I switched to Pandaria for example I did not find the way to get to Pandaria. How to get there? Thanks!

So I have been off and on for years and always have a fallout within three or four days after getting out of the isles and never know where to go and last night was about to quit again and just now found your video and seen where to go next. Thank you!!!! I did have a MMO mouse but need to get a new one since my 1-3 buttons don't work but I do have a razer nostromo ( to play league) and will rebind stuff like your set up instead of having all the keys to press. Again this video has helped out tremendously!

Nice video. Very informative. I used to be an avid world of Warcraft player for years when the game first released. Doomhammer! For The horde! Lol I've really been missing playing an RPG like this and I'm thinking about getting back into it and this video is swaying my decision. 😂
If they would just adopt RIFT's wardrobe system. OMG that game has the BEST! Any item from any armor class. And you only change it when you want to, not when you upgrade your armor pieces. It is hands down the best wardrobe system of any game I've played.
Why are so many WoW players mad that I can invest more time in the game than they do? It's not my problem that the person has decided to start a family or prioritize work, then he complains that I reach my goal faster than him, that's so illogical. He sets goals like someone who plays 24/7 and destroys the entire game for people who want to play more.
Haven't played since Cata. I've been considering jumping back in to catch up on all the expansion stories but it's a bit overwhelming thinking about all the addons, learning about all the changes over the years, etc. This might help to ease me back in.
Just at the start and I think it’s worth editing to note you can’t do any leveling content between horde and alliance. Blizzard should fix that but it still impacts gameplay
Transmog is easy when you get the expedition yak mount from pandaria, but it will cost 160 k. I think there is also couple of toys that allow you to summon a transmog character.
Telling new players they need DBM or Bigwigs is just a bad idea. Those mods like weakauras and GTFO are a crutch and stop new players from actually learning how to play.
I would agree with you if the developers of the game didnt design it around the playerbase using these addons. Wow is notoriously bad at forecasting mechanics and the devs have admitted fights get as complicated as they do because of the arms race with addon makers
I played WoW from the release of BC until about 8 years ago when I quit and I've never been back. The main reason I quit was that it was impossible to get "good" gear without doing raids which really demanded a guild group. You could possibly get in a pug but they were incredibly toxic, a terrible experience. Guilds were not much better except maybe the top few, all the others were always shorthanded so they struggled to get up a good raid group, people left, the guild broke up so you started over. I would have loved a way to solo more and actually be rewarded for it but it wasn't possible. Has any of these problems been addressed, especially the solo play which I really enjoyed.
Omg I had my eye on this game the problem is I’m a console player so I’m new to how pc works in general my hands feels so weird on a keyboard lol so I have to learn that. Also I don’t know anything about the tech stuff all I know is my little computer can start the game up lol.
The faction reputation thing good to hear. Cause damn that was insane in the past. Debating if I should return since Legion and whether there a point to doing the other expansions.
Nevermind my first question. I also use a 12button mmo mouse and i would like know how you shaped your ui the way you did in those 3 little sections instead of all them being horizontally stacked.
U said that Players will be in the Dragon Isles from 10-70 but I would really want to level and experience the other continents too espacially in my Leveling journey. What should I do ? And one more question: do the Quests on other Coninents scale with my Level too ?
for gear option at max level as a mage am I forced to use a staff? Lets say the best weapon for mage before going into raid is a staff? or is there always a balance so I can more or less always have the choice of having 1 h + a book instead of a boring staff? :D Hope this made sense >.
ive never played WoW but arent there like 8 other expansions? how do you play through all those other ones? ive been wanting to get into WoW but i never understood how there are like 8 expansions but how do you play through all of them after the main game/how do you know when youre done with the main game to start playing other expansions?

I played WoW from the release of BC until about 8 years ago when I quit and I've never been back. The main reason I quit was that it was impossible to get "good" gear without doing raids which really demanded a guild group. You could possibly get in a pug but they were incredibly toxic, a terrible experience. Guilds were not much better except maybe the top few, all the others were always shorthanded so they struggled to get up a good raid group, people left, the guild broke up so you started over. I would have loved a way to solo more and actually be rewarded for it but it wasn't possible. Has any of these problems been addressed, especially the solo play which I really enjoyed.
Yep you can now solo your way to great gear with overland content and delves!

Omg I had my eye on this game the problem is I’m a console player so I’m new to how pc works in general my hands feels so weird on a keyboard lol so I have to learn that. Also I don’t know anything about the tech stuff all I know is my little computer can start the game up lol.

The faction reputation thing good to hear. Cause damn that was insane in the past. Debating if I should return since Legion and whether there a point to doing the other expansions.
Nevermind my first question. I also use a 12button mmo mouse and i would like know how you shaped your ui the way you did in those 3 little sections instead of all them being horizontally stacked.
U said that Players will be in the Dragon Isles from 10-70 but I would really want to level and experience the other continents too espacially in my Leveling journey. What should I do ? And one more question: do the Quests on other Coninents scale with my Level too ?

for gear option at max level as a mage am I forced to use a staff? Lets say the best weapon for mage before going into raid is a staff? or is there always a balance so I can more or less always have the choice of having 1 h + a book instead of a boring staff? :D Hope this made sense >.

ive never played WoW but arent there like 8 other expansions? how do you play through all those other ones? ive been wanting to get into WoW but i never understood how there are like 8 expansions but how do you play through all of them after the main game/how do you know when youre done with the main game to start playing other expansions?
I've never played WOW and probably never will because I have commitment issues when it comes to games, but I will try to watch this 2 hour video, which is practically useless to me just so that I don't a millisecond where I am able to think.
