strangely charming video
Thank you for the detailed informative easy to understand video. The visual presentation made everything simple and non intimidating. Look forward to seeing your other videos! Excellent teacher!!
This is super helpful. About to install the same subfloor and similar floor and the other videos don’t go into the problems like you did. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Getting ready to install DMX 1-step tomorrow. This was very helpful.
Good job. Glad I found this video of a real life installation of the product. I will watch your next video for the installation of the laminate.
Double-sided tape in key locations can help prevent or reduce movement of the sheets when laying them down. ALSO it can help to cut and lay them out and let sit over night with some weight on them to allow the plastic sheets to 'relax' B4 final fit. This is a slower process but will help in reducing 'puckering' of the material.
THe best intsallation video I found yet, care to the details
thanks for this video - addressed concerns around cutting and fitting adjacent pieces!
+albobear welcome:)
Excellent video! I learned a lot. Thank you!
Well done...I found it helpful...thank you!
Blue Tuck Tape is made for taping the two pieces together...the blue stuff will still hold properly even if it gets damp or wet.
Thank You So Much! I am installing my first laminate floor today. what is the brand of your rotary tool, Good Sir?
thank u so much
I have basement with 9 inch tiles possibly asbestos. It is in good shape, what I want to do is cover with carpet and laminate for dance floor. Would this product work for the laminate and used with DMX AIRFLOW for the carpet......
Hi, the brand is "ROK" nothing fancy, but does the job!
I don't understand one thing : why did you go through so much pain to straighten it against the wall? Why can't you just leave it if it's off a little?
HI Boguslaw, will you be posting the video of you installing the flooring as well? I'm looking to use the DMX 1 step with laminate flooring in my basement. It's nice to see it done before I get started. Thanks!
+Dave Koji , Hi Dave, I will do that some time this week.
Great, thanks!
Can you use the blue underlay under carpet? I am looking to put carpet in my garage
look up DMX Air Flow... it is for carpet
Can you suggest an underlay for vinyl flooring? I have lots of moisture in my house.
DMX Airflow would work for vinyl plank (not sheet). Google "DMX Airflow"
You need to change the blade of your circular to get a smoother cut for the doors.
Even just tape & scoring the cut with a knife first would've worked better
I’m using dmx one step with vinyl on top
I'm installing vinyl over dmx airflow. Some dimples have popped while kneeling on them during install. Not a good sign. Did this happen with your 1-step?
Ro J no the dimples were fine. No issues
What brand its the underlayment
Looks like DMX 1-step
A flat floor & a level floor are different concepts
I have done everything DMX told me to do, and still have terrible humidity problems under this floor. It should be considered insulation ONLY. If you even suspect you might maybe possibly have the tiniest bit of water getting in, this is not for you. I had a professional basement water proofing company come look, and he told me he cannot think of a single instance someone should use this product. Tile in a basement is the only way to go.
Dude, you gotta treat this stuff like a carpet installer would... let it roll up the wall a little and trim the excess in place. Would have been done in half the time.
Looks like you cut the bottom of the door _frame_ at about 5:00, that can't be right, the frame's supposed to hold up the door. Only need to cut the trim. Also I don't see a pusher stick on the bandsaw, if you like your fingers you shouldn't put them so close to the blade.
You obviously don't do flooring, or hang doors.
Overlap better
