The music is complete unprofessional trash, but the video itself is really informational and well done.
Im installing for the first time, thank you for the video
Masterful Job! Home Depot had a trial with teeth to spread the adhesive...apparently, you just need a thin coat like seen here...I have never done it or even seen it done...so, UA-cam is a great help with the Floor Doctor.
Worth watching again, all vids should be done this good ,short concise to the point .Time is precious these days
Even though your music was offensive and unprofessional the information you shared was really well done.
Jeff Your correct on that one!!!!!!
Music was awsome bro! And you killed it🎉
Excellent video, I am installing the same length tiles this week, thanks.
I am a construction teacher and i was going to use your excellent video to show my students the correct way to install carpet tiles ! But as it nears the end the music dropped the F BOMB so unfortunately I couldn't use it ! BUMMER !
Like nobody ever in the construction industry drops an F BOMB. lol
Maybe you could edit the video with a beep over.
Who do you teach? Children?
XD
You could always mute the video for your students, I do...
Glad to see another dual wielder. Good work
Nice job! I hate doing carpet because of the beating on the back and knees...Thanks for sharing.
Great video! Very detailed precise ! Keep operating Doc!!
You are doing a really good job. Thank you, for sharing this video!
You didn’t use a new carpet tile plus your not doin it right
When cutting in walls try placing a full tile ontop of the already laid and cut on the back side follow down the tile pull up the you cut and swap tiles and put full one replacing the one you just cut and put the one you into the gap between wall will guarantee a nice flush fit
lot tricks in one video
thanks!!
Just what I needed to know.
If you are putting in carpet square tiles do you still stagger them or lay them in straight lines?
that looks really good. would be nice to know which product this is.
Do I stagger the 24x24 carpet tiles or place them in a straight line next to each other? Why did you stagger the long carpet tiles?
one question, why the carpet is lifting or peeling off from floor after been clean by extraction machines ?
Was adhesive already applied to the floor?
More detail on the initial process of how to properly lay down the lines would have been very helpful.
What brand tiles are these? would live to purchase.
Yo doc,the final product looks sick! Can i place that on ceramic tiles with double -sided tape or best to use glue?
What kind of carpet tile is this? It looks similar to what I have, but I love this design better
Nice
Impressive! Can you please include a link to the carpet tile product?
Hello, thank you for the video. could you please tell me the manufacturer of this carpet tile. Thanks!
Great job! Sub'd!
You good!
Are the peel and stick carpet tiles ok for over concrete floor in a basement? I was told to use uzin 888 to fill in any imperfections in my concrete, does this sound good?
Yes absolutely. If doing peel and stick carpet tile you'll need the recommended primer and roll on with a nap roller 👍
Nice job, brother... When you coming to the islands?
Cuts carpet right on top of good carpet, dang! Must be an expert.
He had a backing tile.
Do you have a preferred adhesive for vinyl backed tiles over concrete? I am installing in my basement.
Also, some of the products I'm looking at allow for rolling with a paint roller. I'm sure notched trowels are better / allow for more glue for commercial applications, but rolling seems a lot easier for someone who's not all that experienced.
Can I install carpet tile over sound board. The floors are not concrete or wood. It has sound boards.
When we glue we cut a hole in the bucket with our carpet knife and use a roller and throw a fan on it
💯💯👨🏽⚕️
Hey Doctor, can you install this carpet tile onto an existing engineered wood floor?
I wouldn’t suggest it
What kind of cutter are you using?
real pro wish could hire you
What adhesive you used?
are those 9" x 36" tiles please? Did you get it at home depot?
Can show a video of laying out this pattern please
Can you use a roller ?..
what do you do when you have to replace a tile? when do you recommend when installing on an uneven particle board subfloor (kids room)?
What adhesive/glue are you using? Thanks!
Depending on what carpet tile you are using, you tend to go with the manufacturer of the product you are using. Also noted as a "manufacturer requirement". Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Can I ask where you purchased the carpet planks. I like the color
How much do you charge a square foot to replace it?
Did you use a weighted roller at the end ?
Ryanschind
No, but you could if you wanted to.
I use paint rollers to spread glue
Why do you wait for the adhesive to dry before applying carpet?
@I Dab That makes perfect sense now. Thank you.
Where I can get this carpet? Can u please send me the inf of the store please thank you
Turn off the music next time. Good video
I actually enjoyed the music and appreciate how it went quieter when he spoke.
Where can I get enough carpet tiles to buy and transport to Ghana?
Can I install them over floor sound board ?
Yes, but please note you can either install by glue, or use the "tac tile" technique. If your not familiar with that technique please let me know and I can help.
Thanks for watching.
Yes I used glue but the general contractor decide to used a cheap glue and a couple areas bubble,,, they did not want to pay the right glue which cost around $45 per gallon...
What determines where you string your lines at the beginning?
It does depend on the layout, but for the most part I like to start at the entry way with the solid tiles working my way out.
Hope this helps. Let me know if this answers your question. Thanks for watching
really not using factory edges for the wall fills??
hairspray the chalk line before you glue
I've never seen any1 mark carpetile like that not knocking ur method looks good jst a little slow
How much can i charge only for the installation?
Hi, all depends on the layout of the job and which product is being used. Typically, here in the Bay Area we charge about a $1 a sq ft.
Thanks for watching! Hope that helps.
No padding required??
When it comes to carpet tiles, no padding is required because most already have a backing ( padded, rubber, vinyl, etc) all tiles being different when purchased.
Damn bud your cutting them carpet planks in the diffcult way!!!
You could use a proper glue trowel? And try just scoring it with one pass of your knife, fold it until it snaps and just cut the carpet fibres. 0 chance of fraying the loops of already installed tiles. I know your barley cutting through them, I just cringed when I seen that I'm sure your carefull but it's still risky.
I bet your name is Iknow and your last name is Nothing...…I hired guys like you before, know it all, just shut the fuck up.
How much for 550 sq ft
The framers hate u for sure lol
Ashlar and brick bond are different. That’s ashlar
Richard Moss
ashlar and brick are the same pattern. The only differences is which way the direction of the carpet tile is going when entering the room. This is actually a brick pattern. If you notice when entering the door.
Hi floor doctor. I thought the same as you for years until an old guy told me I was wrong. I googled it and he was right. Ashlar and brick bond patterns are based from the arrows on the back not how it looks when you walk in the room. Carpet planks are always layed ashlar.

Why is he measuring? Is he a beginner
It's hard to hear institution with back music
No problem, let me know what you need help with on this tutorial and I'd be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for watching.
Not gonna have as good of "grip"with no groves in the glue bro
No music please
Good video but ruined by the music.
Good info for diy jobs but ur technique is very time consuming for commercial work and do they not have proper trowels where you are from ?
extremely stupid/distracting background music...I watched for a minute or so and I couldn't take it any longer
That background music is VERY annoying.
Music is flaring up my sciatica. Horrid.
You could have done without the lame music. The instruction was good however.
