I just started collecting Our Generation dolls and found two at goodwill for $4 each! Personally I like them better than American Girl dolls.

Pleasant company is pre Mattel. My daughters, Kirsten and Samantha have 2 of the first 3 pleasant company dolls. Can you guess which ones? Lol. Great information. Did not know about the resale value of the target dolls. Learn something new everyday.

personally like picking up sealed puzzles with impossibly large counts or complicated 3D puzzles. I've gotten lucky on a couple occasions finding a vintage talking a sesame street Big Bird that needed a little TCL and a steiff plush donkey. Still searching for my first hidden mickey bear. When in my life as dolls started appearing they were working with Madame Alexander so yeah they like they like used to work with the brand with and they like to stop for some reason probably because it was because it was Walmart but yeah still a little correction

My mother gave my niece one of the original American Girl dolls in the late 80s or early 90s (pretty sure it was Pleasant Co back then). She was born in 1985, so it was after that. Lol. She came in a trunk that was also a closet. She came with her book and a change of clothes
I can't remember her name. Emma maybe? The doll was never played with...just a shelf sitter. I wonder how much those older ones sell for. Any idea? All I know is as a young child I begged for a Madame Alexander doll! I just wanted one of those pretty dolls that always began the toy section in the Sears Christmas catalog! I never did get one. 😥 Our parents are never the same people we grew up knowing once they become Grandparents! 😁

I see that the tone changes when talking about the AG dolls. The OG doll is just as good. I dont think you should be selling second hand dolls from garage sales to get a profit. I think the OG dolls are better looking the the AG dolls. But when things are ugly and they are a trend it doesnt really matter people will buy them however the American Girl dolls because of their original label and their detailed accessories will be collector's items in years to come. But as far as looks go. I see nothing special about them
