Yes, my daughter loves all of Samantha's accessories. I think her OG doll is currently wearing a pair of Samantha's shoes. I love that the clothes and accessories are mainly compatible between AG and OG dolls.
I think the Our Generation dolls are great for those on a budget. I also love the playsets and accessories from OG. But I personally lean to American Girl dolls. I prefer the way their face look.
It's great that they're similar enough that they can share accessories, clothes, etc. And I love the faces on the American Girl dolls too. I'll always love my Samantha doll. ❤ What's your favorite doll?
My first AG was Felicity, which I got as a 50th birthday present from my daughter. She will always be the Queen here, but I play more with Kirsten, who I found in the '90s at a garage sale for $5. Yes, I play with dolls after decades of thinking I was too old to play! Boy, was I wrong! I love seeing you and your daughter play with your dolls!

Molly has good taste 😊. It is all in the details. I have AGs. Your 80s Samantha is in amazing shape. The white bodied (80s) dolls are quite rare now. I buy dolls second hand to make it cheaper.
The reason I prefer AG over Our Generation is, one the eye quality on Our Generation isn’t as good, two the hair quality is awful on the our generation dolls, three I prefer the face molds on the AG dolls. However Our generation does have pros. price, lots of clothes to choose from, and more diversity. Plus I love all the affordable sets that Our generation has.
I can definitely say that the AG dolls are made well considering I still have mine, and she looks pretty good. Time will tell how my daughter's OG doll holds up.

Samantha is worth more than that our generation doll one they don’t make the Pleasant company doll anymore to it’s from the 80s and that’s when the dog came out and three she’s in pretty good condition I mean her hair has to be cleaned up but overall she’s in pretty good condition I would just be careful of her because she is valuable that’s my advice though

I'm not on a budget and I love OG dolls. I also love AG but OG dolls are just more fun (to me).

I have Addy. I wanted to make her best friend Sarah from her books. It was a choice between Truly Me 112 and Our Generation Jamila. I chose Jamila.
