You'll LOVE it! I forgot to dust it with powdered sweetener (I didn't really miss it, and the almonds look so artistic even without it!) :-) Thank you for subscribing and commenting! 🥰🤩
@@miarenee I'll put it on my TO-MAKE list, which is already a few weeks. Have you tried making them? What did you fill them with? I would use Ricotta, pepperoni, cooked italian sausage, and some pizza sauce! Wouldn't that be yummy? :-)
@ I had made them a long long time ago. I think I used raos sauce but ricotta sounds amazing and I think I used pepperoni but I wasn’t keto at the time :)
@@miarenee Thanks for sharing! I like Rao's Pizza Arrabbiata sauce - it has a bit of a kick... and it's only 3 carbs. That's how I would make it - and I'd stuff it full of meat and cheese. I'd mix Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Ricotta with an egg (or 2, depending on how many calzones I was making.) I'd put some sauce down, then the meats, the the cheese mixture, THEN I'd add a slice or two of Provolone on top of the meats. If you have Italian meatballs, you could slice those and add them, too! (YUM!) And just enough sauce. I would want the filling to ooze out as soon as I sliced into it! :-) If you try it, let me know how it turned out. Sounds better than pizza! :-)
Heading to the store soon for some ricotta. Thanks for all of your great recipes, I’ve made some and enjoyed every bite. I’m wondering what size pan to use, any thoughts. I don’t have a spring form pan. Thanks😋
Hi, Karen, I'm excited for you to try this! You really need a 9" springform pan. I linked to one in the description. Once you have one, you can also use it to make cheesecakes and other dessert delights! I use a 6" springform pan for cheesecakes. I suppose if you like a 9" casserole dish or other baking dish, you may be okay. The batter should be about 1.5" high when wet, a little higher once baked. If your pan is too big, it will dry out. Good luck! RJ
@@KETOover50. Sorry, I didn’t see it in the description . Your kind and descriptive reply has inspired me to get a spring form pan. I’m sure I can use it in many more delicious keto goodies. Thanks!
