Our favorite soups begin with “Cream of Wonderful Soup”, essentially THIS! A wonderful recipe to have in the rotation! Thanks! (P.s., I add a big pinch of dried thyme, and also, discovered years ago if I keep my onions in the fridge, they don’t make me cry!)
I'll put Broccoli-Cheddar soup on my "MUST MAKE" list. Broccoli is one of the few vegetables I still love to eat. I make a "Loaded Broccoli" - steamed or sauteed, then topped with cheddar sauce and chopped, cooked bacon. It's fabulous. I'll add that to my to-do list, too!
Thank you for commenting, Misty! I appreciate knowing what you and my other viewers like. Soup and sweets are favs for KETO over 50! I'm working on more of these for you. 🥰
I made your peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Outstanding!! So glad I found your channel! I also made your soup using cabbage in the crock pot and it was awesome!! I am going to make it again. Can't wait to try this mushroom soup! Thank you!❤
Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your successes! I'm thrilled that you're enjoying my "old world/classic" recipes. I have so much to share... Thank you for subscribing! RJ
Hi! Thank you for your video! I was just thinking I need a good recipe for Cream of Mushroom soup so I can make Green bean casserole keto style for Thanksgiving. Question: at 1:11 you said 1/2 of 8oz block of butter but the recipe says 2Tbsp of butter. Will you clarify? Also from NJ and this will be my first holiday doing keto. Hoping I can stay mostly on track! 🤞
Yes! Oh dear.... I'll have to go back in and fix that. Thanks for noticing. It should 4 oz! I've never had any of these recipes written down before..... I usually go by look, "feel," and taste, so now I'm writing them down as I'm editing the video. I'll change it asap! Good catch. 😅
RE: Doing KETO during the holidays... Here are a few tips: Make sure you're never STARVING before you go to a party! Eat some cheese or a beef stick or something that will take the edge off your appetite. Enjoy a Zero carb cocktail (I had to give up wine in favor of martinis - simple vodka with a twist of lemon. I add ice to it to keep it cold AND dilute it a bit!) Don't punish yourself by eating just the crudités (raw veggies) which are usually put out for color and to round out a food table/display. Go for the turkey or ham and eat your meats first! Then veggies. If you see something you're just aching to enjoy, go for it. It's ONE DAY! If you have several parties in one week, you'll need a bit more discipline, of course! 😋😜 I also recommend you bake a fabulous KETO Cheesecake, KETO Pumpkin Cheesecake, or KETO cookies and either take a cookie with you in your purse or know that when you get home, you'll be able to have a sweet treat that won't sink your KETO plan! BTW, I met a friend for lunch who is NOT keto, but he works out and stays fit, naturally tall and thin. He was curious to taste my Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookies and asked me to bring him some, which I did. He ate them both and said they tasted like "normal" cookies! Here's that recipe: ua-cam.com/video/yzxlHZiBGP8/v-deo.html&lc=UgydvLNK_LZRv6Yw5yl4AaABAg.A9hmNQM2poWAANXJFn9AAL
What kind of cheese? :-) I think the chaffle croutons added just the right touch... perhaps a little parmesan on those would kick it up. Good luck! I hope you love it. RJ
Hi, Linda, GREAT question! The only beans that are totally KETO are green beans. That being said, I love chili with beans, so I searched high and low (on shelves in the grocery store - haha) for a can of beans with the lowest carb count. I found O Organics Tri-Bean Blend with Dark, Red Kidney Beans, Pinto Beans, & Black Beans were 10 net carbs per ½ Cup serving - which is still high. But, if I'm making a pot of chili and I'm using 1.5 pounds of ground beef and 1 can of crushed tomatoes, a little chopped onion, and "zero" carb Chili or Taco seasoning mix, I'll splurge and add a can. I'm probably only going to eat about ⅓ Cup of the beans. I do this so rarely, but when a girl needs her chili fix, she's gotta have it! :-) I hope that answers your question. AND - FWIW - I used to make an incredible 15-bean soup and I miss it as much as anything else. Maybe that's why I'm working hard to find a replacement for it. My Italian Sausage Soup was one of the best soups I've EVER made! If you try it, be sure to add the crispy bacon and shredded Parmesan cheese on top. It makes it!

I agree completely! Creamy soups feel like hugs!
The roasted root veggies sounds good. Please make it.
Thanks, Rosemary. I'll put it on my "must make" list!
Perfect for the coming holidays [casseroles, etc]! And I would love a recipe for broccoli cheddar soup, if you have one! P.S. NH girl here : )

French Onion soup is my favorite, besides Broccoli Cheddar soup
I love French onion soup, too. But all those onions are high in carbs. Broccoli cheddar is a great keto choice!
🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is a lovely recipe. Thank you.

Yum! Looks delicious, and so easy! Would love to see you chop an onion!
Great suggestion! Next time I need a chopped onion, I'll do it on camera. THANKS!
Be sure to subscribe so you won't miss it!
Thank you for subscribing! I'm off to the store to buy an onion and root vegetables for a new soup. I also want to share some desserts soon. RJ

@@KETOover50 Thank you! Excited to make it!
@@amystehlik3997 Let me know how it turns out for you. 🙂
I will add some cheese on top just before serving, more calories but more delicious

Is Black beans soup allowed on Keto. If so, do you have a recipe for ut?
