Hunter, this video was fantastic, really amaizing. I love this intimate format for interviews, it seems really like a proffesional TV program, you keep giving us so fucking amazing material, men. Thanks for your passion and dedication, it is completely contagious. I would love to see a show in which you visit growers in the US and make this kind of live podcast in the nurseries. Do you consider extend your content into non-scripted podcast? Only your general toughts about this amazing plants? Best
Amazing content bro. I love cactus and I will upload my collection one day. I have them outdoors but of course I live at the beach with 30 Celcius temp average, however when it rains it rains a lot but the next is the sun again. Nobody put these things on the net. Keep it going is a pleasure to see and learn others experiences on the plants we love.
been looking at my trichs for over 50 years, have known they hybridize, but never thought of them as one species. there is something captivating about them, their fullness and color. over these years i have never been able to produce seed from the pachanois even though i have specimens from 4 or 5 nurseries. i assume they must be the exact same clone. also, all the seed sold as pachanoi have produced heavily spined plants and different colors of blue to green. so your vid helped me move forward with my understanding.
Very interesting and helpful tips on care and growth from Dean. It's amazing to view these cacti from an evolutionary perspective, at least that's what pulled me into the cacti rabbit-hole. As always, great quality video Hunter!
Love Love Love the tour and interview. Wow wow wow I wish I have that land to venture my Cactus Life and Curiously …. I am a Learnee/Intermediate cactus enthusiast 😊😊😊. God blessings to you all…🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Y'alls knowledge is off the charts! Great video for people like me who are still learning speciation and the science behind the hobby. A couple of true bros! thanks man.
Quality content 💯There is something truly spectacular about the way nature shapes our beautiful world of cacti 🌞Crested/variegated specimens are to die for!
Best video yet bro 🙌 could just be cause I’m addicted to collecting trichocereus lmao Deans awesome he gave my friends and I a tour last time we pulled up, love seeing his nursery on your channel. Great questions!
Hunter your doing a great job ; keep it up your making a difference . I love watching your videos . Bye the way I can't seem to contact Gary Duke . I have been looking to buy soom Copiapoa seeds . Let my know , get back .
@@CactusQuest They are better than you think ! Your videos . Don't stop! I think Your going to be very successful. I am not trying to butter you up . I mean it . I don't go on facebook or instagram . I called his telephone he never answers . What do you suggest ?
The similar appearance of cacti to euphorbias is an example of convergent evolution: the two different families evolved under similar conditions-under extreme aridity-and adopted similar survival tactics, resulting a lot of similarities.
just a comment from a middle-european grower: 25°F is laughable. Our winters go down to about -4°F during nights that are about 17 hours long. In reverse, I can put 98% my plants out of the greenhouse into direct summer-sun without scorching them because the sun is not nearly as intense. You cannot transfer what you read in those books to your climate, and I can`t transfer what I hear from growers in the southern USA.
😂 I lost it at the "sensual big hair energy moment" and you both flipping and fixing your hair. 😂 Awesome interview though!
😘🤣🤣🤣

If you store them in dark during winter, good luck to not burn them from sun. But yea, you are right.
