What is your secret?. I have some seedlings that are very slow. My bigger Trichocereus are growing well, but were all purchased at 5 to 6 inches and bigger. It is my tiny seedlings. They don't seem to grow, despite being in a warm environment.
@@andyroo3022 Need more information then that. Seedlings need more then warmth to grow they need light. I have over a hundred seedlings I started at the start of February. They are already 3/8-1/2 inch with multiple spines already. They need lots of light. And I don't use that take away Tek. I mist the seedlings a couple times a day I don't sprout or keep them in humidity domes.

I moved them to an outside table in a covered BBQ area, they got too much light and started to go reddish colored. I put them back in my garage under the grow grow lights and they went green again after a few weeks. They are in covered clear containers. Used fruit Punnett's, and used clear cake containers for humidty. I mist them regularly. They just won't grow much.????
I live in Oklahoma and have San Pedro growing outside in pots up against the western side of my house, they are looking great. I only take them inside if it's gonna be below freezing during the day, which was only 2 days this winter. I also haven't watered them since October.
Thanks for the new video! I also found that SPM Pachanoi x Terscheckii crosses produce frequent mutations. I’m growing Riels x Terscheckii Ivy, and one of the seedlings is dichotomous - has 2 columns on one base. Can't wait to watch it grow over the summer 🌵

I have a 6"+ wide macrogonus which grows just as fast as a san pedro (basically looks like a magnified san pedro) and is truly a sight to behold. I wish I could give you a cutting. I have several hundred pedro, b and p torches and even peyote I grew from seeds from your shop. I agree on most points that you make, although I think the few peyote that are growing the best are my most treasured plants and grow very well indoors next to a window.

About a decade ago, I took a trip to Australia for about a month. Many would be amazed to know how many people there have yards full of various Trichocereus species.
Yep, we love it here and the community is great. The cac love the ancient soils here too in desert/semi desert areas. Alot of genetics work and amazing crosses comming out of australia, being exported back to the america's ! Alot of old botanist field expedition trich plant cuttings from the americas were imported into australia decades +++++ ago, and have since died/never been found again over there, so it makes it very interesting. Kind of like the save the peyote landrace seed bank, but nobody/group of people doing it as meticulously. Where did you visit ?

I think that mescaline content isint a question of if it's Pachanoi, Peruvian or Bolivian but the the conditions that the cactus is kept. Alkaloids are produced as a way to protect the plant from drought and excessive heat. Maybe even from cold. I keep my san Pedros in as much natural desert conditions as possible. They adapt to it and become much stronger and tougher then those grown in much less demanding conditions

A wrapped up big towel is easier than a magazine and a thin edged pruner can easily remove thorns. A combination of the 3 primary strains, seems to work better for me, in a mescaline brew. For whatever reason, my bridgesiies are more potent. Always respect yourself by respecting the plant spirit!

They tend to not be fertile if self-pollinated, so if all 3 of your PC originated as cuttings from the same plant, you’ll need to obtain a genetically different cactus in order to get seed. What is the 4th cactus?

I just started 100 bridgesii and 50 Peru from a shaman in south America. I can refer you to a couple people if you wish. Or this guy on this channel has seeds as well. But a quick search would show you as well. If you want actual seeds from shamans gardens in Lima Peru let me know.

Lophophora is my favorite in my opinion. Trichoceres is too easy to grow. Lophophora isnt nearly as slow as a grower as ariocarpus. It actually grows pretty fast whenever the care is well. To keep spidermites off spray/drench really well when watering. Water on the skin is good for them. Japan and Thailand have really figured out how to grow them.
This winter all of my 1 year old peyote seedlings got eaten by a mouse 😤. Luckily it left the trich seedlings grown from your seed and older peyotes alone.
I buy organic lettuces and every time I find a snail in one of them, I free it on my terrace. Now they have reproduced and I have hundreds of them... hopefully they won't feast on my peyotes! lol
Everything loves a seedling. Rodents eat them, birds seem to just pull them for fun and scatter them all over. I have to cover all of my seedlings with 1/2” hardware cloth. (It’s galvanized steel mesh/screen with square 1/2” holes)
Great video. FWIW, the few actual studies I've seen that look at concentration of mescaline all show no difference between PC and non PC. Any variety is highly variable and can have strong and non active individuals. Also, you're not kidding about the growth rate of T. taquimbalensis, my seedlings from your seeds are flying. Twice the growth rate of what everything else is averaging.
the biggest amount of mescaline was found in bridgesii monstrose clon A...dont want to sound like a hater but variagated plants are the biggest scam ever and overpriced aswell😂they're just normal plants or cacti with lack of fotosintesis wich is the biggest joke with all the high prices they're sold for pfff

@@iconofsin1043people are usually discrete about things like that. I use to order large amounts of steroids online from countries that they are legal in but illegal in mine. And I never received a package that said anabolic steroids on it.

His terscheckii doesn't flower often. Email him in a couple months and will have a terscheckii available

Snails won't eat San Pedros but I think they do try and leave a swallow throughs which I think is their attempt to eat my cactus

Althea is highly sought-after. It came from a batch of Ikaros DNA seedlings. Seed was collected from a wild T. peruvianus in Matucana, Peru.

Aphids are only hard to get rid of if you have ants. Ants farm aphids. Give your ants borax and sugar
