- A game sometimes can have bad parts, but for good reasons.

Slayers X is an interesting case of what happens when you make a game that's designed to be an in-universe creation of another game: and how the creation of that world explains how the game came to be: faults and all. It's a tricky case of having what could be considered issues by some, but why those faults perfectly match the game and what it's trying to do. In this review, I go over why Slayers X is worth playing for some, but there will be a small number of players who will consider this one of their favorite games of the year.

Funnily enough, the OST in-universe was done by the game's Linkin Park parody, Seepage. Apparently Zane got into contact of Mikey Sikey, the frontman of his favorite band and managed to gain permission to use their music.
Seepage even provided a completely new track for the game, free of charge!
Ok, that's something I didn't realize and never would have guessed. Somehow my thought came true somewhat. But interesting to know!
I love the voice acting especially the straight faced and competently dramatic reading of: "now go.... *to the Boise Potato festival....* This is where the psyko's power is concentrated.... You *must* stop them!" That was just brilliant it's like the punchline of the whole game.
Who’s here after the PS4 ps5 and switch release!?
I just played through this and it was a sweet throwback lol. Definitely felt like a less polished Duke Nukem 3D. There are some weird glitches and design decisions, but overall it was a fun one time playthrough.
How are the checkpoints/save system? That's something that varies a lot within "boomer shooters" - some let you quicksave wherever you want, some have a lives system, that's usually the make or break factor for me.
You have 5 save slots, you can save where you want. Autosaves at checkpoints, which are on the "not as frequent, but not horribly punishing"
Spiritfarer.
Show me a good cloning machine and it'll get done
@@Dragnix you already have one.
