    Great video. Like I mentioned in your other videos, can you please include bolt torque specs on your future videos? Some of us like to do more than "good n tight".

      I'm no pro, but I would imagine if you did it as he does (one nut as a time) it shouldn't move too much. But you may need to use a jack to keep the diff in place when doing the carrier bushings.

    I love how they are just sticking on anything that fits on this car from the old chassis. Development for these is gonna be slow given all the tuning drama

    • @ImportImageRacing
      @ImportImageRacing  2 роки тому +9

      We are for sure installing anything that fits. No harm in showing people the things they can do to the car while they wait for new parts to be developed. The tuning drama probably isn't slowing down any development. It's the fact that so much changed from the last chassis to this one that everything is new and needs completely redesigned.

    Do you think these and the trans install you just did puts added stress thru the already weakish* trans. I figure the shock only happens once but is harder during hard shifts vs bouncing around causing continuous lighter shocks with the stock setup. Your thoughts?

    • @ImportImageRacing
      @ImportImageRacing  2 роки тому +4

      This topic is largely debated on. Some people think that the sloppy stock mounts making the transmission move around more puts more stress on it and stiffer mounts keep it stationary and absorb the vibrations through the mounts (or through the chassis for aolid mounts) and other people will argue that it's the exact opposite. No one has directly linked either one to transmission or engine failure. People have been putting full solid mounts in drift cars, auto cross cars, and drag cars for years so I'm 100% positive if they caused issues people would know about it by now. Hope this helps.

    • @ImportImageRacing

      To be completely hoenst with you, the only bolts on this car ive ever considered or heard of being one time use are head studs. I've never Torqued a bolt to spec besides on internal engine components, clutch/ Flywheel and crucial suspension components and have yet to have an issue in my 10 years of modifying cars. I'm sure Theres a Torque spec for every single bolt on the car somewhere if someone wants to find it.

      Correct. Usually people worry about hearing more vibrations, gear chatter, or transmission whine with these types of inserts and mounts.
