Yo this car is so far from stock. I need you to take it to a road course or autocross I really want to see it in a. Actually I'd like to drive it too 😂
Trying to plan some stuff. I really want the Cobb launch control and flex fuel to come out. Feels like a weapon when driving 😈
Make the trip out! Beach is nice here 😎
@@JoeyMontalto for sure. When I drive down to Florida I'll see if I can stop by for a night.
Great video , I'm looking at the sway bar brace and the two power brace rear sides as well.
Just a question, are you running an aftermarket rear and front sway bar ? If so what did you get as in specs and brand.
Thanks
Great choice of parts for the baces. Yes im running a rear sway and endlinks. Currently running Cobb endlinks with a whitline sway on the stiffest setting
@JoeyMontalto Thank you for that, I have the VN Sportswagon here in Australia which you guys don't get there and notice more body roll in the rear which I don't like, I will go the route you have , Thanks for your reply 😀
PS i have front and rear draw stiffeners and the front Flexible tower bar too !
well yeah, but you didn't show the rear diff mount bushing stiffness differences. Like put a screw driver through the hole and show how the bushing flexes compared to the Cusco. Got a lot of upgrades on this bad boy.
Looking good and my eventually do this to my 22 VB
You should really come to VMSC Autocross with me sometime! Its this Sunday. I dont think youll feel anything done in this video unless youre cornering at top speed, which you arent gonna do on public twisty roads
Joey, I have the exact exhaust you have and had to remove my drivers side cusco brace because it was bearing up against the exhaust.
I adjusted it so it did. Not rub. It lasted for about a week or 2 then it started rubbing the exhaust pipe.
I went back under and clearanced the Cusco brace few days ago. So far no sounds. I can make a follow up video about it
@@JoeyMontalto sure that would be great.
Been looking at these for a while! Want to do the front ones they have aswell!
Definitely can feel a difference! Pretty easy install too.
@@JoeyMontalto I was going to ask.I followed your guide for my STI swap. Been driving it. Did you need to adjust the clutch pedal at all? I have been maybe shifting to early because im used to the wrx bite point which was at the top of the pedal. I have been getting this metal noise going into gears sometimes if I do it to quick. Its not your standard gear grind sound.
@@ziggyzigglertry bleeding the clutch more. It shouldn’t grind going into gear. I did have slight issue with the stiff clutch and stock line. I swapped to a Perrin stainless line and it definitely helped. Every clutch is different but my ACT has a high engagement.
Nice!
looking at the spare tire well, I want to add (individual) stick-on vortex generators just because; in a "V" shape. No one will see them (except the tire guy)... 🤔
Any alignment issues from doing the rear side pieces? Did you have to go get it realigned after the install or safe to do without needing an alignment after?
No alignment needed. That bolt that you remove is not an eccentric bolt so there is no room for movement when you reinstall it
@@JoeyMontalto thanks man! Have you done the front crossmember brace?
I have not yet. But it looks nice!
@@JoeyMontalto it’s pretty easy and just put it on before doing the rears
I have 70 000 miles on mine what can i do to clean the carbon build up ?
