Awsome video, its great to see how the tyres improved the turning. Looked great sliding around. I cant wait till we move back outdoors, get the car on tracks it belongs on 😎
It looked good out there and the tires did make a good bit of difference! I kind of wish I had gotten one but for some reason this one did not get me super excited. It worked out, I had the extra money to get the RC10CC when it was announced. Glad you had so much fun with yours, it did well!
Thanks brother! Can't wait to see you build that RC10 clear! I really like this buggy...was a super fun build and drives amazing. Appreciate the support.
What an awesome machine!! I get so nostalgic for cars of this period that were such an influential part of our childhood. Despite being a 36 year old concept that thing flat out performed, clearly demonstrating its racing heritage. Quite remarkable the difference the tires made, and it was quite apparent in the handling/driving technique deployed as you changed up. Love the flow to your track videos fella, it's so hard to film a moving car around a track, the multiple camera angles make it a joy to watch...... the thought of how much work it takes to edit it all together in order though totally fries my brain! 😂 Top stuff matey! 👍 👍
Thanks so much my friend. It's such a fun buggy overall and absolutely feels "vintage". Having an in box old school sponsor decal sheet was a super nice touch as well. Really appreciate the kind words as well about the video coverage. It's not easy to pull off for sure...but is hopefully what makes us a bit special on the tube. Rock on brother... and thanks again for the support!
It was a good day for the Shot for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if the silvercan makes a little more h.p. as well. Should test that next year 🤔 (pro car silvercan) Appreciate the support!
What a beautiful video! I really enjoy the quality of your videos, not just the footage, but also the commentary and the knowledge sharing, especially on this buggy! I'm not particularly hyped about this buggy, but still happy I clicked the video, very nice description of it and how it handles, looks like an amazing machine after all! I'm happy it's not just a shelf queen, ha ha!
Thanks so much for the kind words. Doing my best to provide content that is different from the norm, so I appreciate it when someone enjoys what we post. I am not a shelf queen guy for sure. Obviously, with the expense of this one...it would have been "ok" to build and park...but what fun is that...hahaha. Thanks again for the support.
Wow what a difference with those pro tires🤯. I was expecting it to be a little faster but that was leaps and bounds over the kit tires.. You could tell you had to change your approach and driving line in the beginning after the tire switch. Great comparison and run 👍
Haha...got that right my friend. 1st few corners with the good tires was WAY different. From 100% steering lock on the deck to about 40%! Appreciate it very much.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC yeah lol. Still it matching the turbo scorpion’s time as the turbo scorpion is much heavier. I wonder how the turbo would do on better tires 🤔
@NoNoRc The tires that come with the Turbo are very good. That plus the weight is why it's doing so well on the board. My guess would be it's not going to be that much quicker....just because that one came with tires that worked well on my track. Maybe next season we can find out!
Great to see it in action! Too many if these will be shelf-queens. Never understood why you wouldn't run an RC car! (Although I have the clear RC10 on pre-order, so that might test me...)
Nice video, i got excited when this came up. Definitely think you should have same or similar tires for time trials to get a fair comparison, not sure if you have been doing that or not, but very impressive. I figured it would have with the best if them just by the looks, thanks again. So you think this car is better than a losi jrxpro. Still would love to see a stealth rc10
Appreciate it! We run the same "pro tires" on all things "pro level" (pretty much everything non plastic). Stealth 10 might happen if we get a break this winter in the weather.
Nice driving on this tight track (which of course is difficult for understeering setup). JJ Ultima handles very good (the base is 35+ years old 😮). Your slo-mo are incredible, what kind of rig do you use ? Thanks for sharing and take care 🤝
Thanks so much for the kind words. I am currently switching back and forth between a galaxy s23 and a gopro 11 with the fps cranked. I then slow everything down in the video editor. It's a balance between how slow I can get things before picture quality goes to crap...lol.
I'm just amazed at how level it jumps! Absolutely unbelievable!
Box stock jumps 100% perfect!
I was very envious of my friend who had an ultimate pro... Love the classic gold shocks.
Aye! The pro was an amazing buggy! Wish I had an o.g. one.
Great video, what a rare kit. Love watching it go down the straight turn and jump. Sweet !
Thanks my friend! It's a great buggy. Was a bit of a sticker shock...but after this day feel it was worth it for sure. Appreciate it.
Awsome video, its great to see how the tyres improved the turning. Looked great sliding around. I cant wait till we move back outdoors, get the car on tracks it belongs on 😎
Thanks my friend. Was pretty shocked with the difference. All of it was up on the deck for sure.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC its all down to tyres a lot of the time 😁
I also drove an ultimaRB5 the other day, and Kyosho machines still run well.😍😍😍
I had the ultima 2 in 1993. My first hobby grade rc. And now, I have over 250 models!! It's and addiction.
Wow that's an awesome collection!
Such a nice car. I notice that it in comparison does these jumps especially good.😊
It flies perfect!
Sweet run, the buggy looks and runs great and what a big difference just swapping out the stock tires.
Thanks brother. It's a fabulous buggy! Think the kit tires are more suitable for full dirt tracks. Was shedding 10ths on the deck for sure.
Awesome production thank you
Thanks so much! Appreciate the kind words.
Nice run! Having the right tires for a track can make the world of difference.
Appreciate it! 100% the 1st tuning tool I reach for.

Your track is so rad.. car turned out great and looks awesome out there
Thanks my friend. Season winding down (shot a few yesterday but it was so darn cold). It's a great buggy!
Looks so good on track. Got one coming for Xmas ☺️
Oh that's fantastic my friend! It's a wonderful build and a blast to drive.
Looking fwd to seeing yours built!
Nice work. I'm really starting to want one of these buggies.
Thanks so much. I'm definitely happy with it.
Nice buggy! It did look fast, nice driving!
Thank you so much! Was a really fun day for sure. Appreciate it.
Another great video. I am still surprised at how close the hotshot is to those top cars which were effectively used for racing
It was a good day for the Shot for sure.

Very nice run with the JJ Ultima! 👍It looks great and goes round the track really smooth!😀👌
Thanks so much! Really fell in love with this thing after the build.

@@nanbanjinchannel5716 Thanks so much!
Dude props for not playing techno music or any music while you drive the car on the track in your vids.. 👍
Haha...no worries about techno my friend. The sound of the gearbox and tires is my vintage music when they are on track.
The difference on the carpet hairpin was obvious. Not so sure on dirt, great job
100% made more of a difference on the carpet. The balance on the dire was fairly neutral with a very mild understeer. Appreciate it!
Great to see it in action! Too many if these will be shelf-queens. Never understood why you wouldn't run an RC car! (Although I have the clear RC10 on pre-order, so that might test me...)

Suggestion jj replica vs ultima on pro stock tires
Want to mount up those pro tires on the rere Ultima for sure.

Dude did you have issues getting youly body to sit flush with the chassis up front?
Had to do a bit of work outside of the lines on attempt #2. Pain in the rear.
