@@PercysRc absolutely dude. I did after the video take both my original and tribute hornets out for a run. So many memories come flooding back. Such an awesome car for many I would say.
@@weofnjieofing no worries. I’m in touch with the distributors so should know as soon as they land in the uk. Would be nice to have a Technigold re release. But I guess a Sport motor would be fine. I’ll prob keep it brushed as it’s meant to be. As it doesn’t have a slipper clutch and I’ve found cars without a slipper don’t like brushless much unless it’s a real low power system. In which case there’s then just no point. Unless for looks.
Never had any of the trucks. Not my thing event though a lot of my friends have them plus crawlers. I need fast n stupid lool. But. I’m leaning towards getting a crawler for the winter months.
My dad had a Hornet and he would let me drive the battery dead after it started losing power, manageable enough for 7-year-old me. Fast forward 10 years later and high-school me put an Arrma 15T in it after the wires on the Trinity 19T my dad had in a bin wore out. Fast forwars another 6 years and I still bash that Hornet at 23. I plan on getting the Evo and slapping the same electronics in it

I just scored a Candy Green Grasshopper while I was on a work trip in Tokyo. It was the last one and the guy said there quite rare and for 64 AUD a bargain. I wil pick the evo up and maybe use some parts to see how I can modify the Grasshopper.
@@Soney_Manic I will do the main thing I want to do is put good oil shocks. It looks like there are some new parts that could be applied to the old models for modern shocks 🤞

3:56 Fixed the battery falling out and dragging along. I've a re re hornet and original super hornet from the 80's. I dont think its for me. The charm of a hopper is that is drives terrible.
@@Soney_Manic Yeah the bevel gears hex that drives the axles turn over when they get too much excitement from a hot can. 19T 540 is the max I'd put in one. It's comical overwhelmed already with a sport tuned.
@Particular_Sky nah sport tuned is ok. Runs well. It’s when you reversed into anything and the wheel hit on one side. It would crack the gearbox open. That’s the only issue I ever had. That Ava the bouncing around!! But get. That was the fun of it.

How may ver of the hornet is that now 12? you can find new in box original hornets all over the place. How about a evo king cab or high lux monster racer. We don’t need or want another hornet

Super hornet wasn't grasshopper 2 shell, it was the chassis.

Weird. Never had a battery fall out. Snapped quite a few gearboxes though!! 😂
