it's so wild to me that people keep saying that csm fell off or whatever. Part 2 is so good, it's just a different beast than part 1, and this chapter is such a perfect example of that
It's because it's a slow burn it's not fast pace is the first one it's more just trying to put the puzzles together
@@almac5446 part 1 was a slow burn too. Part 2 is different in the fact that the external conflicts have been chaos the entire time, but the internal conflicts and overarching narratives are much slower and have less of a clear direction than part 1.
For me, the biggest turn off of CSM1 to CSM2 Is that part 1 had peak art while part 2, be honest there is no sugar coating it, isn’t anything compared to part 1 art
Maybe because most people reading part 2 have been reading week to week, and fujis been taking alot of breaks so maybe these long 2 week breaks between some chapters make people think the story's falling off
All it is is those people watched the anime then binged the entire manga and when they caught up with the manga and not only was it not even weekly it was nuclear explosion and big fights every chapter so they said it fell off. That’s why you don’t see those people anymore because that have no patience and left
I can‘t shake the feeling that Denji‘s dismembered state is not only meant to be a direct parallel to chapter 96 (Makima in boxes), but chapter 1 (Denji being all chopped up in the trash can) as well.
Therefore I am quite excited to see, whether or not, he will be the one to fight Quanxi just like he maniacally fought those zombies back in the very first chapter.
He is probably the one with the highest chances of being on par with her.
(Especially considering that he took on Sugo and two other hybrids at the same time while still coming out on top in one of the previous chapters).
Moreover: Watching Denji reattach his body parts and transform into the red Chainsaw man would indefinitely drive the point home that he actually is the real thing.
(Since I can see Asa being too overwhelmed and shocked to fully process the reveal in any other way…)

yeah i see a lot of people say their cooked but if denji actually fights he might have a good chance of holding her back, i mean he basically no diffed katanaman before he had training and he was trained under kishibe and is honestly underrated for how strong he is
Denji (not in full transform into chainsawman) can hold falling devil well enough. i think Denji can hold Quanxi too. Falling devil is on par with crossbow devil imo
@@TheGuardianZX i dont think Falling Devil (primal fear) (OP) (can kill tons of people by simply existing) is on pair with Crossbow Devil (weapon devil) (can be used as a heart and create a hybrid thats more powerful than itself). if anything, Quanxi'd be closer to the Falling Devil but still it's normal hybrid vs primal.
The way Asa learned about Denji being revealed to be chainsaw was so cathartic considering how she now has to come to terms with the fact that the boy that (from her perspective) went on one date on is the perverted devil who stopped her from ending her life.
I find it really interesting that Asa rubbed off on Yoru just like Yoru did on Asa; the things Yoru said in this chapter sound exactly like early part 2 Asa, while Asa is much more confident and assertive now.

Once upon a time there was denji and pochita living in a shack sharing a piece of bread. His dreams were to have bread with jam and to have a girlfriend. Then he had all the bread and jam he could eat, plus power and aki because he was chainsaw man. Then lost them because he was chainsaw man. Then he made a new life where is goals were to eat steak and have lots of sex. Then he lost everything again because he was chainsaw man. Many people say the story is about the hierarchy of needs, then wants. When they put denji back together, what if he's been hurt so much that he doesn't want anything except to live in a shack with pochita and to share a piece of bread. It would be the inversion of the previous story and bring everything full circle because he no longer wants to have things and people to lose.

I have a bit of a prediction for where the following chapters are going. I think the next chapter will consist of Yoru, Fami, Katana Man, and Nail Fiend fighting off Quanxi and Teleporting Guy. While this happens, Yoru instructs the others to continue putting Denji back together. Despite it being 4 v 2 with Teleporting Guy probably not wanting to participate much in the fight, Quanxi ends up incapacitating everyone, probably kills someone (probably Nail Fiend) and cuts off Yoru's other arm or something. Just as she goes in for the final blow however, Chainsaw Man is back and is able to hold her off while everyone else escapes the facility. I feel like this would be fun because now they're in a situation where Chainsaw Man and Katana Man have to work together to get out, and as soon as they're free they'll instantly try to kill each other again.
And then probably someone else randomly shows up and some twist happens, idk.
Also, I'm imagining that since Asa knows about Denji being Chainsaw Man, perhaps this will lead to some sort of romance in the future, and THATS when Reze will finally show up and then we get a love triangle plot or something.
I have feeling the romance might not last long we know what Fujimoto does but who knows anything can happen.

@@chiaki.hayakawa18 You're not exactly correct. Horseman have HUGE problem with recognizing people's faces. They use their smells. Denji smells differently than CSM, and CSM-Denji and CSM-Pochita smell the same (Yoru couldn't recognize 'red' CSM from 'black' CSM).
I actually thought that it was purely Mitaka's shock that made them change. When Mitaka is paralyzed with fear Yoru can't keep her control over Asa, so it'd make sense if she couldn't do that when Mitaka's paralyzed with shock. Especially since Asa can see what's happening in RL even when she's not the one in control. So Yoru wouldn't have any need to change.
I also think it's funnier this way.

Meanwhile Yoru is an idiot, have memories issue and also slow to pick up on things.
After Fami told Yoru that there are different types of Chainsaw Man and she show Yoru that Hero of Hell Chainsaw Man is full black in appearance, everything starts to click for Yoru.

People don't see or in touch with high school friends after graduation and all of a sudden 10+ years passed and you expect them to automatically remember their high school friends, after seeing them once.
I don't really know what to make of this chapter. I'm glad Asa finally gets to see who CSM really is, yet I wanted the reveal to be during combat or something. Not when Denji is all cut up and can't speak. Also, they keep doing Denji wrong at every turn. Dude is just tryin to enjoy living as best he could.
I thought it was kinda nice to see Fami aiding in putting CSM back together cuz I didn't expect her to help there. The docs were more annoyed at having their work knocked over rather than the fact their facility is being attacked. Nobana apologizing towards one of the docs there irked me cuz he didn't need to whatsoever lol. Fujimoto gave Quanxi the Shakira treatment at the end lol.
Overall, I didn't hate or like the chapter, but I did enjoy reading.
Fami is an oddly likeable character. She seems to truly care for Asa and Yoru.

Great chapter, but I might be fixated on the wrong thing. I got questions on what happened to the 27 right and left legs removed from Denji. In chapter 156 they we were specifically said to have bagged the limbs not boxed them. What are they doing with the limbs, where are they keeping them, I hope we get these answers.

I almost feel like I'm too calm about Quanxi showing up at the end. I mean, sure, she's OP as fuck (my poor Katana dude stands no chance, he's been fun, but he's done for), but I don't think she (PS) is winning this one, it just doesn't make sense from a narrative stand point; we've been waiting for so long for this reveal to happen and so many things led to this very specific moment.
I don't know who's gonna fight her, though. Hybrids? We know how that went last time. Yoru? Since Asa is too overwhelmed with emotions right now, that might transfer on to Yoru, hindering her performance. Chainsaw Man? I don't think the boys are quite done with that puzzle, it might take them a bit too long. So it's gotta be Fami and her trump card. There's no way she didn't come prepared for this one, but also we know so little about her capabilities...
In conclusion, I think someone's gonna stop Quanxi. I don't know who it is, but someone's gonna step up.
