I think the idea there would be that he's not faster, but A-Train definitely would have had to adjust himself, brace a bit then move toward the deep. I would assume in that situation he's aware of how fast A-Train was, and dodged pre-emptively, because he didn't dodge a single other hit when he wasn't against a wall.

the irony here is that seeing Noir flying is a reference to the noir in the comic books. Yeah I know it might have been considered a lazy plot twist by many readers. But it helped to understand why he also survived so many deadly scenarios like when he was dropped while the 7 attempted to save a plane.
There was lots of foreshadowing to noir. It wasn’t really a lazy twist.
