Besides the fun part of guessing the anime it made me really think about what an anime can say about himself within the 10 first second (or the first minute). The animation, the ost, the first line everything really made me re-think about how do you make an anime. Great concept!!

@zaytaz9331 the plot is pretty bare throughout seasons 1 and 2 but Dead Apple and seasons 3,4, and 5 are really good (in my opinion). The manga is also really good too. Definitely recommend reading it. The light novels and stage plays are also super good.

As a mature war drama, set in the future, using spider-like mechs, with a hint of dystopia and a touch of psychological thriller thrown in... It's a bit of a hard niche to sell/give mass appeal to. I never finished it. Hearing it's in your top 5, I may give it another chance

I think the most easy one is the cyberpunk one, the city is iconic, both from the game, and anime, since the game is pretty popular as the "most-bugs-pre-release" Game

Dunno if it's the easiest but I got it right even though I haven't seen Cyberpunk yet. I just guessed and it was correct. 😅I only played game. So you are maybe right. There are many anime easy to guess right if you have seen it. For me it was AOT, Gintama, Dr. Stone, Fire Force, Assasination Classroom etc. If you remember the scenes it's pretty easy. I saw like half of anime in the list, but still forgot some of the scenes. 😐

This has me realised that, a lot of old anime do not get to the point in the first 10sec, like it could be applied to a lot of other anime,
but newer anime actually stright to the point that you can see the style or the anime

Mob psycho 100 is a very good anime but AOT is on another level because it is a Masterpiece meaning value similar to the big three of anime (naruto, one piece, bleach), the big three of manga (berserk and other 2) , fate series , Dragon ball.
And things about master piece animes are that they are a thing completely out of its own meaning they didn't took inspirations or copy (more like using it for good) other peoples creation .Example: demon slayer, jujutsu ,chainsaw man kaisen, black clover etc had many BIG parts that was inspaird by the big 3 meaning they are hyper super omega great animes but aren't revulation or masterpiece level
Also, masterpiece animes can't be compared to other Masterpiece animes.

Loved the concept! And I'm amazed by how some intros are still cristal clear in my memory despite watching these animes +10 years ago (Anohana, Clannad, Fairy Tail...). The opening scene of an anime really contributes to making it iconic

I like this one a lot because I didn’t watch a lot of these anime but a good amount of these. I could make a guess from the art style, listening to the music or reading the subtitles to figure it out from there. I wasn’t keeping track of my score, but I was very proud of myself recognizing the 3-E of assassination classroom and hearing the first 3 piano notes for Bunny girl senpai and recognizing it because I rewatched that recently.
