I like this idea of keeping the RIBs under cover. Yes, it's designed for stealth, but it also means that maintenance can be carried out in the warm and dry, and not outside in the rain.
The armament is pretty similar to the German K130 class corvettes. Those have one 76mm main gun, two 27mm machine cannons, two RIM-116 rocket launchers each with 21 missiles as CIWS and four RBS-15-MK3 surface-to-surface missiles against ships and land targets. Optionally they can also lay mines.

Yes, I agree. Remove the anti-ship missiles and the rear ramp systems. Install a mini VLS with 4-6 Penguins and short range anti-sub rockets, expand the side RHIB to fit two 7 meter instead on one ( the second could be on a track system to slide it into launch position) on either beam. Keep the forward weapons arrangement. This will give this vessel a better multi mission capability and deploy a platoon of marines instead of two squads.
US should just buy what other countries are using. Ships get a lot cheaper when they are bought in bulk. Once the USA is involved well over 100 Ships can be built and watch the costs fall though the floor.

It looks like a reduced size Freedom-class LCS. The last ship I remember having a telescoping hangar was the Knox-class frigates with the LAMPS Mk1 helicopter (Kaman SH-2 Seasprite).
To be honest I think that our surface combatants are fast enough, I just think that secondary armaments could be good against small attack craft fielded by nations such as Iran, also if rail gun tech becomes viable, I think that the reintroduction of a fast battleship is a good idea

The only thing I see wrong is no ships wheel. The US Navy has found more accidents are caused because there is no "wheel" and that the lack thereof is a major contributing factor.
I like the rolling frame launcher, too bad Canada did not put one on our AOPS. At least wire the thing so it can easily be bolted on if needed to be. That extendo hanger is sexy too, very innovative.

This is not a US Navy vessel, it is built by a private shipyard in Louisiana and can be exported to any navy that is on the approved list established by Congress. (Sorry Iran, North Korea, Cuba; NO BOAT FOR U!)

Actually it looks like a smaller version. I would add some 30 foot on the stern as the way I see it the weapons on the foscle is to get very wet on sea.
Great Ship concept but if that's for the US they need to up-grade the weapons systems some but if its for export they can keep the cheaper weapons on because not all countries have the same amount to spend on expensive weapon systems!
How do they need to upgrade? RAM CIWS is considered the best current defences, though they plan to be replaced harpoons are perfectly effective anti-ship missiles; still in use widely across the USA.

It also nice if they can add torpedos for anti submarine or the Saab company product I forgot the name I'm sorry which is shot like a gatling gun 4 units, 2 on each side that has a 32 rounds that is shot if a submarine is spotted. The mortar type has a magnetic tip that will stick to a submarine if it passes to it and explode. It can be reloaded manually with in 8 minutes. If does not a torpedo for anti submarine that Saab product is the best substitute since its way cheaper and can be easily reloaded. If they have it in this boat model then this is suitable for Philippine navy. Cheaper but complete package and very deadly.

These seem the perfect fit for there patrol, resuce, & port def. How it is to work on them may b a diff story. The 3 ribs design is brilliant. It it had some kind of domed radar & elev tower it would b perfect. These would sell, every 1 could use these unless they decided to go just a little bigger w/the Corvetts. If a war broke out & the scope of duties increased to sub, sonar( saab attack) & 150 mile range, I think it would need to b the large class. So u hve 2 way cost & # of boats against needing more Frigates then. It u hve a lot of coast like us & Australia I think they r great. But if u hve a lot of sea & ocean work & small navy the class is a compromise. This is as close as u can cut it & hve the helo & underway refueling. I like the class & think w/all the bells & whistles & weapons these can count more toward the Navy & less just patrol.
I think you're referring to the 57mm Bofors. The 76mm Oto Melara is a very capable system, weighs a lot less than the 5 in. and has less deck penetration.
Paladin 06 The 57mm, that's the one. On a ship that is the size of a WWII Fletcher class destroyer that had 5 5/38 single mounts on board. The lightweight 5/54 is the match for all 5 and weighs less than 1 of them. Would not be a problem on an LCS. Oh, and the new LCS will be changed to FF.

Put the 5" on frigates, the 6 pounder on FAC's and develope a NEW 7" lightweight gun for the Burke size NATO ships. A gun where the shell actually weighs something, even if it's a ramjet or rocket assist shell with a reduced bursting charge w/60+ mile range!

The helo should have a sonar that can be deployed by cable and air dropped torpedoes torpedoes.

Good enough for OPV. And suitable for escort duty.
The LCS might survive if they keep speeds under 30 knots.

Bangladesh Navy's 6 OPV tender should be appropriate for this.
Looks like a scaled down LCS. Great design. Only thing I don't prefer is keeping the CIC and bridge in the same compartment.
