Yes you can buy one and create water world invade coastal cities , avoid drone strike , much of fun , you should do it , I believe in you.
Looks like the Vikings have come a long way with their naval warships!
We still use the proven clinker hull though!
No not really. We are still just No. 1.
@Faerûnian Thank you, you yanks seem to enjoy it a lot.
@Faerûnian 2 cutters and 86 small boats. That is what the NYCCG has according to the sources i can find.
Denmark has more ships and it's largest class alone has more tonnage than everything NYCCG has together. The Ivar Huitfeldt class comes in at 6.7kt and there's 3 of them. And the 2 almost as large Absalon.
And while Sweden only has a single >6kt ship, it has 165 CB90 craft which are not too far from the most common size of those coastguard boats, very close to the RB-M even.
And of course, Sweden also has about >55000 tons worth of 6 icebreakers of the BIG KIND, that are "technically" not part of the navy or coastguard. The 9500t Atle class of 5, and the 10500t Oden.
With Finland currently having 89 active ships. 8 large and 81 small, they ALSO beat the NYC coastguard in both tonnage and numbers. And again, that's before counting the "not exactly navy" icebreakers which includes the last 2 Atle-class ships and another 4 ships.
Norway has fewer ships. But their average size is much larger because they operate in the much less pleasant weather of the North sea. With their 8 patrol vessels ranging from >3kt to >6kt.
So here your claim is just "oh i have more grains of sand than your house has bricks, how impressive, except not".
So your great claim was only really true compared to Iceland. Which does not have a navy. But whose little 6 ship coastguard might still out-tonnage the NYCCG...
And duh! NYPD polices twice the population of Sweden, what a surprise!
You MAY want to check your facts better in the future. Bragging is bad, trying and FAILING to brag because you don't know what you're talking about is epic fail.
SAAB cars doesn't exist anymore, they only build these boat now...
The swedes know their stuff! From Airplanes to cars and boats, quality! Greetings from Norway:)
Technical stuff yes. Mass immigration not so much
don’t forget furnitures and meatballs! :D
Oh yeah? They also designed and built the Vasa🤣

USA: spends millions to keep their
new technology secret
Sweden: Hello guys so here is our new combat boat
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery hence why the Russians built their own version of it
Hahaha true
Since we sell hardware primarily it helps with bragging
Probably want to sell more boats to the US ;)
To be honest, Sweden wants to export these, so they want to advertise a little.
The UK trialled a few of the older version out a few years ago.
I’ve always been impressed with the Swedes ability to design and manufacture their own weapons systems. Here in Canada we make maple syrup……😞
Ahh a bit of flattery before reminding us of our inability to produce maple syrup... :(
Forsman87
Oh I think that if you can handle producing the Gripen etc etc…. a little syrup would not be considered a huge task 😉
We collect maple syrup, we don't make it! And Canada makes lots of weapons for export... look up CAE and the light armored vehicle known as the lav that was sold to countries the world over. CANADA ROCKS!
ddw1977
We collect sap and then make syrup from it so it is “made”.
The LAV is made by The American company GM that has an assembly plant in Canada.
You are definitely Canadian 🙄
How has that fighter jet decision progressed, we have that same question coming up here in Finland.
4:28 _And here we have Daniel!_
That's a nice feature indeed, does he come preinstalled with every boat or is that an additional cost?
Like the engines, you have a choice of configurations ranging from "Dan," to a midlevel "Danny" option, or the more expensive "Daniel." It just depends on your needs.
military grade siri/cortana.
"here we have Daniel, hi Daniel" he says excitedly
The Swedish military always succeed to invent some awesome stuff. Think they have to get more recognition world wide.
It's not the military that invents these weapons it's civilian companies like SAAB here. The military just buys from them
The HSwMS (Gtd) Gotland defense submarine isn't all that shabby either.
The Swedes always producing great military weapons. Greetings from the states. 🇺🇸🇸🇪
Didnt see any fishing rod holders, they dont come as standard?
You can use the gun mounts. ;)
@@AndyWoohoo666 🤣
Just shoot the fish with a vulcan
There’s a useless gun above
just replace it with your desired fishing amenities
That's correct, both they and the beer cooler are in fact options. The logic here is that the number of desired rod holders may vary, and also that the gun mounts will do. Similarly, you can just hang the beer, in a net, over the side into the water, so everybody may not be in need of a beer cooler.
So, does every boat come with a Daniel?
Yes, Daniel comes standard with the boats
@@brigadgeneralvoid2508 That’s not true actually, you need the CB90HSM+ package for Daniel to come with it.
@@handduken3112 Do you have to charge him? And if so does the charging cables come with the + package?
@@fishundra20 Yes. Every day at 10pm.
Daniel is optional, it is only available on DLX trim
Leave it to the Sweds to make a modern day viking ship designed for shallow water operations and seaborne assaults lol. I absolutely love this machine. 👌
everybody: show me your newest combat equipment
Saab: we have towing equipment and new windows
True but ..... the memoirs of Kingtiger commander von Rosen talks half the time about bogged down and recovery...
🤣🤣🤣
@@mattiasdahlstrom2024 indeed
Looks good for dealing with pirates.
And Chinese fishing (spy) vessels that operate illegally in your coastal waters
I don’t think it’s meant for the open ocean and would do poor in long deployment type situation, this seems more like a troop carrier for rivers and maybe coastlines.
@@Dylan-lw1xc yea, a "troop carrier" like the Bradley
@@alexcitovsky7389 In Norway they are basically the IFV for the Coastal Ranger Commandos. So when I saw those boats during exercise "Cold Response", while playing the terrorist OPFOR, I knew that elite lads were coming for us.
Also Norwegian version of this boat did test fire a Hellfire missile, so the comparison with Bradley becomes even more fitting.
Looks good for bring a pirate. :-)
I wish SAAB still built cars.
They were so well built no one bought new ones, they just survive forever
@Александр Саха Комаров Where ?????????????? GM stopped it years ago
Yes and not the GM hybrid.
Or the engines for their boats
When they sold SAAB Cars to GM it was game-over.
I just love how all Swedish people presenting Swedish products are the best at what they do, not the best in front of the screen acting out like a selling clown. They don't care about that. They just want to show its features.
Well then you would loooove the Fins, no smalltalk or smiles. Just to the fxxking point. Belive me, i worked alot with them developers. But give them booze and wait for it to kick in. You will have friend for life, never stops talking, funniest you met, untill he for some reason start crying and then falls to sleep. And you just love them.
@@steveroos6821 Fr ads by Savotta are funny not because they try to but just how straight forward it is.
Saab always produces superior equipment, and this is another good example for the Navy! Beautiful machine.
Brazil should get some of these boats!!! They are perfect for patroling our rivers!!!
Perfect for protecting ruthless mega concerns burning down huge jungle areas?
I could happily watch this boat travelling at high speed all day. Great little ship 🚢👍
I just saw it 3 days ago and it was very fantastic. I even recoded it.
I agree.
Yes traveling High Speed, every day, every night Zero Drag all right.
I had the pleasure of doing the initial Navy Riverine training on that platform back in 2008. It was the most fun month of training I ever had. We didn't end up deploying with her on my second trip to the sandbox but I still love the RCB. I love how they upgraded it to have the tow feature always ready, thank you Coastal Riverine shit pumps. No float plan, no weapons ready to go, what a joke. So glad they finally pulled the Riverine out of their name so the actual River Rats can say that word again.
USNavy RiverRat in 1968. This is one sweet ride. Congrats to the Swedes!!!!
Everybody gangsta until they see the Docksta
I love the intuitive, flowing, smart and effective use of space on this boat.
Philippines should buy this boats..state of the art technology..

Nice new boat--century old Browning machine gun. Perfect.
any country with coastal waters would benefit from this patrol vessel. well done
Hey, even landlocked countries have military and police vessels in their river systems, and this one looks great for that, too.
I can definitely see this in variants for coastguard, police, ambulance and even leisure for those with too much money.
Glad to see Loki’s original design advanced to the degree that we see now
Aquaholic would be proud of this boat tour!
You have to give to Saab, they always have excellent product placements.
Works of military art.
Perfect for waterfront home defense and of course parties
"30 years of engineering experience" starts off with "here is a metal hook and a tow rope"
Don't get me wrong, it's a sweet looking tow rope.
LOL!!! ya and ver is da head? wery crucial!
Not bad at all, often it's a rope stowed away somewhere behind a lot of stuff.
(I am sure I have one in my car, somewhere too I think).
Lol! It will break down but how fast we can tow it away! Amazing!!

Wow....what a beautiful boat, I'd love to see what its like to run that monster!!!
If it moves half as fast and nimble as my SAAB 93 I think I need one !
Impressive!! Very useful for greek defence minestry to see !!! New greek boats came in 2022 ..but this is another level .
Thanks i've been looking for a solid review, Now i can confidently buy.
From an aesthetic and practical viewpoint I love smart utilitarian design which this boat seems to have in spades. Strangely enough I kept getting Rocinante vibes from the layout. Well, as much as even that great show can get away with in a 'Hollywood' production.
Floki would be proud.
4:57 what is more amazing is the advance technology for having a cyborg presentor
If add up a missile on this just like the one made by Elbit system that is currently being used by Philippines and additional grenade launcher. This will be perfect for Philippines requirements right now. Good job Sweden👍👏👌🇵🇭
It has already been tested with the RBS 17, a similar Swedish system developed from the HELLFIRE. So it's certainly capable of taking such a weapon
the Philippine Navy needs to contact SAAB immediately!
Great job! Impressive 👍

Who says you need to replace the gun, just makes catching bigger fish easier
They made it like it was purchasable for anyone, but all that aside cool looking boat and nice showcase
Well there are versions you can purchase as a civilian.
A lot of ankles are going to be broken around and between those engine cover on the bottom deck.

They could use this in "Apocalypse Now".
And a potential sequel, Apocalypse Later.
Guess no vietcong would attack this
@@sweetkiller9696 imagine replacing one of those mounts with a flamethrower. they’d have to engage it at longer ranges
The design is very -human- optimized
Fantastic vessel, far better than the LCVP the RM use
Nice one SAAB. Nice bit of kit.
He didn’t show the Master Suite, but I guess it’s optimised.
Looks like a modern version of a PT boat from WWII. They were work horses then and I can see this being useful.
This boat is significantly smaller than a PT boat and armed with light weapons only, no torpedoes. It's purpose is patrolling and transporting troops.
@@Juppe50 The top mount could take a host of modern guided munitions.
@@Juppe50 Not much smaller, the PT boat ranged between 24M and 27M, the Doctsa is 16M. Smaller yes but not that much smaller.
@@bryanrocker5033 True. Modern munitions are also more accurate and destructive plus the targets are not as well armored as those in WWII.

I'm still hoping and waiting for Saab to start making cars again
I can imagine this being an Inshore patrol boat for Coast Guards around the world
It will do well offshore too as it's fully tight, for other reasons too, but the speed will depend on the conditions.
The swedes use them as police boats too
Really cool boat!
This feels like a Swedish version of Q presenting the boat to James Bond and explaining all its insane features
Let me guess: "Wolfpack"-clip by Sabaton will be created on this boat?
Or Bismarck.
well I mean I think we all know what will be playing on that screen on repeat lol
Swedish pagans naturally
som gammal Dockstabo blir man lite stolt :)
Greetings from Indonesia, the Aru Islands, Maluku Province, on the Indonesian border with Australia
The funniest part is to see the boat going 40+ knots and you think it will go straight up on land and it stops in 20 m something.
That would be a nice fishing boat
Can you make a civilian version? 😂 I'd love to own a boat like this. The cooliest looking one in my opinion
You can already buy the older version in sweden for civil use 🤘
I really like this boat deck. Nice 🥰😎
Beautiful!
Fin båt😊👍🏻👍🏻
You have convinced me, where do I order?
in Sweden
Excellent work kudos 👍
Nicely engineered.....
This would be a huge upgrade for the Canadian navy.
Canada? Oh yeah the Chinese province in North America, no point the CCP is there to protect them
Yes and no. We have a lot of inland waterways where these would be in their element, however our naval doctrine is based on using larger ocean going vessels to stop someone from getting that far in the first place. For vessels to get inland they would have to either be in Canadian or U.S territorial waters while entering the Gulf of the St. Laurence, so in theory no military vessels should be able to get their with the presence of the two navies out in open water. Sweden is a very different scenario. They have to share the Baltic and North seas with other nations and notably some that are not too friendly (cough... Russia) so having a shallow water capable navy is far more important to them.
We buy your trains, so, yeah, buy our boats :)
@@politicallyabstract6559 I would prefer if we bought your planes. The Gripen is a great aircraft designed to work in cold climates, the F-35 is not well suited to the RCAF's missions at home or abroad.

great cars! great planes! Very nice tactical Riverine/ littoral watercraft. . So where can I get one? What's the draft? we need a few in Philly. on the Delaware and the Schuylkill River.
I used to sleep where the remote weapons operator is seated. ;)
Trinidad & Tobago need this type of boat for boarder patrol and coastal defence against smugglers along the Gulf of Paria and Colombus Channel but the idiotic government spending taxpayers money for 2 Australian built Cape-class for which is more for offshore patrol than boarder patrol.
Good point, it would be a great boat for those conditions and that purpose.
Brazil has a few for this very purpose.
I knew SAAB made cars and jet planes but boats? Who knew???!!!
They make practically all military equipment in Sweden, including jets, tanks, boats, submarines, artillery guns, weapon systems, and so on
@@brigadgeneralvoid2508 Hi! Thank you for the info. I was very sad when SAAB goofed on the last few cars it made, ie. the "9000" series. Whose body WASN'T designed by SAAB but I believe by an Italian firm. For me the previous "900" series was perfect! Swedish design in the WHOLE machine. Was revolutionary in its aerodynamic looking body and the economical 4 cylinder engine which featured a then little known gizmo in the engine called an exhaust gas driven TURBOCHARGER. This gave the SAAB the power and torque of a much larger motor yet remarkable gas mileage too. Formula One (Grand Prix) race cars had used this for years but it was VERY novel in a daily driver family sedan/hatchback. Medium and heavy duty trucks were the market for those then and now.
I was deeply saddened when GENERAL MOTORS bought SAAB and tried to apply THEIR formula for rebadging OTHER vehicles (Like the CHEVROLET S10 BLAZER 4X4 and some SUBARU automobiles too!) with the proud SAAB GRIFFON even though they more properly should've been wearing a "BOW TIE" and a "CONSTELLATION"!
WE MISS YOU SAAB! We raise a toast of AQUAVIT to your memory.
Back in the day, I had a Cobra / GI Joe set, cobra had a boat that looked a lot like that. Lol very cool.
