Disclaimer: I am a skin care specialist, facilitating ingredient and product trainings through the company I work for. This is the official title of my position. I am not, however, a licensed dermatologist or esthetician, nor do I claim to know more than either. I have checked with multiple dermatologists and estheticians to ensure that my use of the word 'specialist' is appropriate, to which they have confirmed so long as I disclose that I am not a dermatologist or esthetician. After consulting my subscribers as well, I felt that because the term specialist is my career title and is deemed appropriate by licensed professionals, I would prefer to use it instead of the terms 'expert' or 'guru', neither of which apply to me because I consider myself far below 'expert status'. Please know that I'm doing my best to use your feedback to describe who I am and what I do in the best way! If you have concerns about your skin, I always recommend going to either a dermatologist or esthetician to resolve your concern.

Thanks to Hyram, my skincare routine went from this:
    1. Makeup wipes
    2. Splash with water and dry
    3. Hand lotion from bath and body works (yes I know, horrible for the face)
And a random Walmart face mask whenever I felt like it
    To this:
    1. Neutrogena cleansing balm (better for the environment than makeup wipes)
    2. Biore facial cleanser (get in those pores honey)
    3. CeraVe moisturizing cream
And a Freeman avocado face mask once a week (sometimes even every other week depending on how I feel)
So basically thank you for saving my skin 🙏

And btw, hardly anybody has been doing ten steps in South Korea since the mid 2010s.Yes they do pay more attention to skincare, but they still fall asleep with makeup on,and they don't have time nor money for ten steps. Most just use Cleansing Balm/Oil,Toner, Moistutizer and SPF,and sheet masks at most.

I love toners and essences, they're life for me. I have oily impure skin. During the summer I basically can't use anything that isn't water based without turning into a pimply greaseball. Even using spf is hard for me, but I have to do that, so every other product that delivers hydration and ingredients to my skin without having a cream texture is very welcome.

In the winter, my skin's dry. In summer, it's oily. At the moment it's the middle of summer and I've found that gel textured moisturisers work really well. I also break out whenever I use something not water based for more than 2 seconds.

I have similarly sensitive skin. The Cerave PM moisturizer works really well for me. The Paula’s Choice CLEAR Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution and Azaleic Acid Booster are the only exfoliants I can use on my skin. They’re both amazing, especially the CLEAR exfoliating solution. I alternate between the two products every other night. The only cleanser that addresses the acne-causing bacteria and sebum and works well with my sensitive skin is the Krave Beauyty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser. My favorite sunscreen(first one that ever worked well with my sensitive skin) is the Krave Beauty Beet Shield. It’s amazing! I would recommend Korean, Japanese, and European sunscreens since they use different UV filters that are more suitable for sensitive skin. I also use the Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief. It has done wonders at desensitizing my skin!

A line you said in this video just made me realise something!! "whenever you use a cleansing balm or a cleansing oil you always want to make sure to follow up with a water cleanser because otherwise you are entering breakout city" ... !! Everything makes so much sense now! Years ago when I was first getting into Lush, an employee created a skincare routine for me, it was a cleanser and a toner and a moisturiser. The cleanser was "ultrabland" which is an oil based cleanser... I was never recommended to double cleanse! She told me that it's likely I would break out at first because of the dirt being sucked from my face or whatever but it should clear up after that. I stuck by it, using it every day for like 3 months, and my breakout never stopped! I kept telling myself it would get better, because this is specifically what she recommended to me and she should know what she's talking about right?? It all makes sense now! I just checked the product out on their website and now it lists a facial scrub and another cleanser for if you want to double cleanse, but this happened to me years ago and I'm pretty sure it didn't say that then. I always wondered why it didn't work for me and now I know. Man, when you first popped up in my recommended I didn't really care about skincare I just watched for the sake of watching but now I'm obsessed with this channel and learning so much thank you Hyram.
