You have an amazing speaking voice, clear, not hurried, don't deleanate from the subject, perfect for teaching on these videos. Thank you! So many teaching videos talk about everything in their personal lives and I'm not here for that. Thanks again.
Hi Jillayne! Glad to hear that my video format is working to teaching. Its a bit of trial and error when I make the videos while I paint to get the right angle for you all to see and also enough time in the segment for me to explain to you all what I am doing. Its a balancing act that I am learning! Thanks for watching !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🎨
i would like to agree with you jillayne, exactly as you say, very calming as i am 72 years , once again another stunner, the prints are my style , colours divine, cheers ess
Lovely work. The colors used on this piece were perfect. I also work full-time and paint on weekends. Wish I could paint full-time and work part-time, LOL. One day it will happen.
Lisa Standiford ... Thank you so much Lisa for your thoughtful comment 🙏💙💙 And yes me too! One day maybe full time 🤗 we can do it full time decorative furniture pieces 😉🎨
Some may say this would narrow the type of buyers...but I think it would increase with attracting those that like this style.. I certainly love it!! Thank you for another wonderful tutorial...😁
Wow! I really enjoy watching and listening (the audio of your lovely voice is so calming) to every one of your videos, but this is definitely one of my favorites! It is so frustrating to go through the painting and decoupage processes just to end up with a dresser that looks like someone just walked by and slapped a picture on it. LOL Without a strategy (and no art training), I usually just sand the whole thing down and start over. This tutorial has so many wonderful ideas and strategies that I can use to get that marriage of paper and paint. Thank you, Christina! Now, equipped with a Bic lighter, Salt Wash, and a sea sponge my old furniture has endless possibilities!
Hi Monica!! Its been a learning curve for me as well with painting and decoupage, and I am learning more every time I do another project. I like the look of decoupage and will definitely will be doing more in the future, I have a few new ideas I would like to try with it! Thanks again for your support its greatly appreciated!!! 💕🙏🎨❤️
Oh my…no words here. My heart is still beating a bit too quickly,…I can’t believe you are not a full time artist Christina, you are that good!!!! Thank you for all of the wonderful tutorials you produce for us.
Hi Jeanne!!! Thank you!!! I wish I was doing this full time! 🥰I really enjoy painting furniture and creating videos for you all to learn from. 💕 What really helps is the support by the viewers subscribing to my channel this helps me to understand which tutorials I am making you all are enjoying! Hi Christina...She's absolutely gorgeous, I love the different tones and the black legs are perfect. I would be proud to display this in my home, too bad you're a couple of provinces too far...So you're a dental hygienist, never would of thought that, lol...I'm a retired nurse, just turned 65 last week...Take care...stay safe...
I'm so glad I saw this video. I've watched several saltwash videos and they all made the mix so thick - 50/50 - that it gave them a gloppy mess. They'd then scrape down the gloppy mess to leave a rough, splotchy, gloppy mess behind. They they'd say, "Isn't it pretty?!" I was done with the very IDEA of saltwash. I've never seen an old piece of furniture with that look. That's not age. I had no idea that saltwash could be controlled until this video. Beautiful, lightly textured effect. It looks a lot like what I'm doing with talc. I'm going to give it a go.
I can't express how much I appreciate your videos, and clear instructions. Thank you for sharing and making my inexperience and motivation enough to try such a fun hobby. You're wonderfully talented.
The Renaissance images are gorgeous. I learned that burnt edge technique in the 70’s. We used a candle flame to singe & brown the edges with the smoke.
Christina, I am learning so much from you and I literally watch your videos over and over again. I have probably seen this video 30 or more times because this is one of my favorite pieces of furniture you have done. I have 2 local businesses that are interested in selling my pieces. Its because of you sharing your art and explaining the process as you go. I went to an Annie Sloan class recently and it was a waste of my money and time because the teacher was in a hurry told us not to use a misting spray bottle to spread the paint. She obviously did not want to be there. There was only 4 of us in the class and it killed me that the other women left the class uninformed. The only thing I learned from the class is not to leave paint brushes soaking in dawn soap and water with the water covering the steal part of the paint brush. If Annie Sloan knew how bad this class was she would probably not be happy. She literally rushed us through the class and pretty much pushed us out of the place at exactly the time the class was ending. No one bought any paint except me, after the class. It killed me that these ladies came to learn and probably won't be into creating art. It was so disappointing with the misinformation and being rushed through without answering questions and her attitude was horrible. Anyway, if it wasn't for your informative videos I would have left that class and probably would not be painting, so thank you. I wish I knew how to get in touch with the other women in the class to give them your information so they could watch your videos. If I ever run into to one of them that will be the 1st thing I do. I think sharing art is special and thank God for your help through your awesome very informative videos. Thank You so much! Drue :)))))))))))))))
Drue!!!! You made my day! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much! That's fantastic that you are selling your pieces!!! enjoy the process, its therapeutic to paint and it is so rewarding when you can see someone else enjoying your finished work! I am so sorry you had a bad experience at the AS paint class. I am so grateful for all the people that watch my channel! Thank you so much for sharing my channel to others it's so greatly appreciated!! See you tomorrow! I am just finishing up my new video right now! ❤️🙏🎨❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh My Gosh !!!! You are killing me with these beautiful textures pieces of artwork. A great video and I love all the techniques that you used including using the salt wash. Thanks !!
Wow! So beautiful. Love how you incorporated the decoupage images and the contrast with the gel stain. Very original and stunning creation. Very inspiring. Thank you
This piece should be worth thousands of dollars....stunning. ❤️ I wish the hygienist at my dentist sounded like you....I’d be so relaxed.....root canal you say....ok....🤷🏽♀️🤣
This is a masterpiece! I love what you did with the decoupaged images. They truly look like they were painted on. Just gorgeous! I can relate to the PPE. I'm a nurse in a doctor's office. Crazy times. Stay well ❤️.

Love this piece! I'm so glad you showed how you bring the pain into the picture, that it don't look like a piece of paper glued onto the furniture! Definitely going to try this. Was interesting to hear what your "day job" is - I always wonder about such things if I look at artists.
Martie Bezuidenhout ... Thank you so much Martie for your kind words and support 🙏💙 I wanted to share that I do love working with decorative furniture projects but it is a hobby and I felt many people feel like their projects are for fun and limit what they share because they think so many do it full time so I thought it might encourage others to feel more comfortable to sharing they projects and have fun with their social media platforms 🤗
Absolutely stunning piece !!! One of my favorites, you are so unique and a calm and soothing teacher as well. I love learning from you. Thanks Christina...

Thank you so much for sharing your talent 🥰
Nikki Lloyd ... I could never thank you enough for your thoughtful words and support Nikki 🙏💙💙 I wanted to demonstrate with plain paper and home printer something anyone can do as I know there all kinds of special decoupage paper with image details but they are a lot harder to find. The Saltwash and thickness of chalk paints can really camouflage the paper so it can transform into the painted project 🙌🎨 I have another super fun way to create a unique look into your furniture projects just with paper but even easier and the outcome is fantastic, so definitely looking forward to sharing that soon 😉❤️❤️
Good Morning, love the custom color mix and the way you blended the images, look's as though it was always there. Well done and what a busy woman you are!
Hi Harriette!! Yes the custom mix is a fun time to play with the paint you never know what cool colour you can make unless you play with the paint! 💕🙏🎨❤️
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom Hi there. I have watched so many of your videos / tutorials, you are very one talented lady. I have a notebook with all your tips written down!
