Well done for not giving up on this piece ,we have all been there where you could put a match to a piece 😉 but we see the beauty ,that others don't and the joy you get at the end of a project is priceless much better than flat pack or modern ,so thank you 👏👏

Thumbs Up & a pat on the back Girl for not giving up! Very well done. Love the transfer idea. Now ya got me really thinking about my one project I have put off for months now.
Wow!! Another great transformation🥰 I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to give up and cry😀 But I don’t quit much so I probably wouldn’t. Glad you walked through the process of alternative methods. The other piece is lovely! I see it with some meshing of brown, pink and some green aging😀 Thanks for another great tutorial Christina.

Another MAGNIFICENT Work of art I!--t would be impossible to pick just one to be a favorite chalk painted furniture finish! Everything about your Chanel your work including the calm voice narrating as you go along is so relaxing,This piece is my favorite at the Monet,LOVE LOVE LOVE how it ;looks like it was left out in the rain or maybe age old dust and needs a good cleaning the patina is that perfect, it tells a story -a history TY
Another amazing transformation…you performed a whole body transformation & gave her a new life! I think it’s great how your husband brings home furniture for you to operate on!!! My vote for a color for the latest straggler he brought home is purple. I don’t know the Annie Sloan paint color, but the piece you did that she highlighted on her page. Thanks for the entertainment while I have my coffee every Saturday morning!
Jeanne Dorsey ... 🙏 thank you so much Jeanne 🤗 for your thoughtful comment and feedback 💙 The rich purple colour is a fantastic idea 🤩 That piece you are thinking of is the colour “Rodmell “💜💜 I really like that idea 🙌
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom I love love mixing Burgundy and Napoleonic Blue 50/50 for a gorgeous deeper purple as a lowlight then using Rodmell as the high tone.
It was not a disappointment when you had to resort to plan B as this is surely a feast for the eyes and you hit the ball out of the ballpark. I absolutely love everything you did to this piece and your techniques are always so fun and interesting to watch, as the light vertical brush stroke is very effective. I recently found your channel and am entranced by everything you create and you are such an inspiration! With a number of pieces of furniture I have suitable for painting, I hope I can decide how to treat them, as there are so many options and choices to make. Decision making is not my forte and the more videos I watch, the more difficult it is to settle on any one thing. Guess I just have to get busy and see where it takes me. Like you said, it's just paint... and oh, what a material to work with! But it also depends on the hands holding the brush and the vision!
Love all your creation. For the next one I'd love to see you challenge your self with a color and technique that you haven't done. As a creator my self I find it in a way to step out side of our comfort zone every now and then to be refreshing and challenging. Blessings from Australia 💖
... that is amazing advice 😉❤️❤️ You are absolutely right!! It is a good way to step out of your comfort zones and try a colour challenge 👍🏻 You haven’t done before !! I really appreciate your kind feedback and comment thank you so much 🙏🤗
Love your work, the chest came out fabulous. I wish I could buy it from you. I like the chest so much I would do the new piece very simular. Thank you for this experience Robyn
... I really appreciate your feedback 🙏💙 thank you so much for your kind words and input !! I am really looking forward to sharing next project and really show how impactful anyone can be with solid pieces of furniture and decorative finishes 😉🎨
I love watching your transformations, you do such a brilliant job. Living in the UK I do have to write things down so I can find the British version which is fun. You are a true inspiration to us all xXxX 💖💖
Mom Marshall...........I love this. You have an amazing talent, I have a nightstand and a chest of drawers to do. I think I can do a mutch better job now, So glad I found your channel.
... that’s sounds gorgeous! Unfortunately this piece is roughy condition and the veneer is not going to work to be able to have a natural wood exposed. I love the idea and I hope to be able to create something like that with another piece 😉💙💙 You will see in this Saturday’s tutorial what I had to do to prep this cabinet and I didn’t think 🤔 it at first lol 😂
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom Well I am hooked on your channel so I guarantee I will keep watching!!!! Excited to see how you transform this piece. I will be patient for a future navy piece :)
Wow, this turned out really kool. Really gorgeous colors once done. Your hard work paid off in my mind. The cabinet is neat. I don't know when this was filmed but this year paprika is the in color. Also teal or aqua blue. I think that combo would be besutiful.
Hermoso!! Tuviste mucho trabajo previo, pero al final siempre vale la pena hacerlo.. Eso siento cada vez que terminó un mueble uf!..💪..agradecida de tus consejos😊

Love, love this. I scored 2 wonderful American Empire dressers, a tallboy and lowboy (@ $10 each!). Like yours, these have been SO much work to prep, so I've had lots of time to seek out ideas & this is by far my favorite. Thanks so much for the inspiration and instruction.
Thanks so much for your kind words!!! Sounds like a good score on your end!! Let me know how it turns out! Thanks again for your support to my channel by subscribing greatly appreciated!! 🙏🎨❤️
After distracting myself with other projects, I've settled on Coffee Bean, Dried Sage and DIY's Cake Batter, using a little gold powder for highlights. Prim & Trim (my favorite). My sample board turned out nice, so trying to keep my courage up & get the thing started!
Another great video! I would like to see your new piece/ cupboard taken in an unexpected new direction. Not very traditional colors but a boho style, with different colors.
Great job Ms Christina. You didn’t give up on this piece, you switched gears I Love empire pieces. On the next piece the china cabinet maybe Oxford, old ochre, and a third color, with a lite color inside. I had one that the fret work was so broken I couldn’t use it so on the glass I watch a video like 4-5 times to make it a mercury glass and painted a stencil real lite on the front. Just love your work and watching you create. G
... thank you so much Regeina 🙏💙 I really appreciate your kind words and feedback! I love the colour palette you are thinking 🤔 oxford and old ochre!! Something inside to contrast and pop out! ❤️❤️❤️
someone might have said this already, somewhere down below, but the iod transfer with your choice of paint colors makes it look as though these designs were ENGRAVED in the wood. It is amazing how you brought this piece back to life. I know that it was a very painstaking process... but so worth it. Love your work! Thank you for sharing all of your tricks of the trade with us.
I really like the technique of lightly brushing up and down and going over with same colors. I would live to see the back color you used with French linen and cocoa on the cabinet. You have inspired me.
Thank you Christina for this tutorial; 4 minutes in and you have already solved a problem I have at the moment, with sticking drawers on a piece I am painting for my daughter.
Good Afternoon! What a great tutorial and incredibly appropriate for me today. I'm taking a break from stripping my dear friend's buffet and hutch, which is painted in a white latex finish. If I had any idea what I was getting myself into - well, you know the rest. Unfortunately, he wants a light finish to match his beautiful new home and I have to get through first the latex, and then the cherry stain before I can apply a primer in hopes that I don't have bleed through. Thank you so much for sharing this technique. While I won't be able to use it on this particular hateful project, I'll keep it in mind for another one sitting in the garage. I was going to email you earlier this week to ask you to include stripping furniture in your Q&A. I've had quite a time finding the right product to tackle the latex. Time to get back to the 94 degree sunny Florida day. (Even Clapton, my old man Shepherd project supervisor, wants to stay indoors!)
Hi Cynthia!!!! I feel your pain!!! Just keep sanding it the 40 grit really ripped through the latex! Glad to hear you only have one layer. For me it was white, brown and blue. It was quite an archeological dig I tell you!! 😂😂😂 I would love to see your finished project! 🙏🎨❤️
I agree - another amazing transformation! I think you must do the piece your husband brought, in Emperors Silk(?) (red) darkened with wax and add some of you gorgeous renaissance woman prints!
This dresser was wonderful, with the colors, the adhesive and the smooth integration between them. Wouldn't it be less work for you to have used a paint remover? It was a lot of work for you. But the result was magical, with a Medieval memory, as I like it. You always make beautiful pieces. Your hand is light and subtly obeys your command! Congratulations as always! A brotherly hug!
rejane rejane ... thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏💙 Yes you can use the paint remover, I only concern was the layers of it and it may have taken just as much time and more physical work trying to crap it off lol 😂 But at least it worked out and paint remover does work very well! I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and kind words 🤗💙
Oh Christina, I am sorry this was such a pain to prep but WOW!! IT ROCKS!!! I am totally loving this! I think a bit of a deep red fly speck would have looked nice with it too🤔 I love the way it looks like the colors are bleeding in to eachother and the rub ons are just the perfect extra pop!🥰 So as for the new piece that the hubby brought home🤔. . . You know I'm a sucker for any shade of blue, but maybe it needs to be a bit brighter like maybe yellow with a bit of barcelona and French linen or maybe the olive green and French linen using this technique. . I would love to see more if this bleeding look🥰 Thank you so much for showing this technique, major thumbs up👍👍 **hugs**
... it’s so funny 😂 you write the red fly spec !! I thought 💭 that right when I started and then for some reason I didn’t and reached for the yellow?? I completely agree! The burgundy colour I should have done ✅ or even emperors silk . This next project is definitely going a fly party of RED! I am going dexter on it lol 😂 That you may only get if you have seen the series ? Lol 😆 I am secretly thinking based on reply’s and comments that it maybe Olive with Honfleur and Antibes ? And the Barcelona inside with a twisty fun impact 😱... I will be far as I did ask the subscribers and I will write everyone’s feedback down and match the winner colour palette 🎨 It’s a great challenge for me 💚🎨
Great video Christina! I'm proud of you for not giving up on this beaut. I learned a bunch...as always. You wanted recommendations on the vintage secretary - blend three blues together and come back with white wax and make it look like a pair of jeans. I can hear you laughing all the way down here in North Carolina, USA!! I'm laughing too, but serious! I think it would look amazing. Again, stay safe and congratulations on bringing this gem back to life!! Ken

I really like the technique of lightly brushing up and down and going over with same colors. I would live to see the back color you used with French linen and cocoa on the cabinet. You have inspired me.
Hi Rosalie! Thanks for the color suggestion great choice! Glad to hear I have inspired you! I would love to see your creations! 🙏🎨❤️
Gorgeous! I love this! You inspire me, Christina!
Una preciosidad, !!! la felicito, muchas gracias, un saludo
Gracias Yolanda!🎨🙏❤️
A stunning piece!!!!!
Thank you Beth!!! I have a new tutorial out today! Let me know what you think when you have a chance! 🙏🎨❤️
Thank you very much for sharing! It was so interesting and a great piece of furniture.
Thank you Christina for this tutorial; 4 minutes in and you have already solved a problem I have at the moment, with sticking drawers on a piece I am painting for my daughter.
Hi Rose!! No worries! Yes it works quite well! Actually I am doing this tip on a set of drawers on a piece I am working on!!! LOL 🙏🎨❤️
This is absolutely gorgeous!
Awesome I would like more of that to learn beautiful very talented
Thank you very much! I hope you like today's video later today! See you soon! ❤️🎨🙏
Absolutely stunning🤎
Hi Kathy!! Thank you!!!! 🙏🎨❤️
Especial!!!!! Muy bonito. Muchas gracias
Gracias! Yolanda!!!! 🎨🙏❤️
I agree - another amazing transformation! I think you must do the piece your husband brought, in Emperors Silk(?) (red) darkened with wax and add some of you gorgeous renaissance woman prints!
Hi Martie! Thank you for the great color suggestions!! 🙏🎨❤️
A brotherly hug!
rejane rejane ... thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏💙
Yes you can use the paint remover, I only concern was the layers of it and it may have taken just as much time and more physical work trying to crap it off lol 😂
But at least it worked out and paint remover does work very well! I really appreciate your thoughtful feedback and kind words 🤗💙
@@TheReclaimedHeirloom thank you! ❤
Oh Christina, I am sorry this was such a pain to prep but WOW!! IT ROCKS!!! I am totally loving this! I think a bit of a deep red fly speck would have looked nice with it too🤔
I love the way it looks like the colors are bleeding in to eachother and the rub ons are just the perfect extra pop!🥰
So as for the new piece that the hubby brought home🤔. . . You know I'm a sucker for any shade of blue, but maybe it needs to be a bit brighter like maybe yellow with a bit of barcelona and French linen or maybe the olive green and French linen using this technique. . I would love to see more if this bleeding look🥰
Thank you so much for showing this technique, major thumbs up👍👍
**hugs**
... it’s so funny 😂 you write the red fly spec !! I thought 💭 that right when I started and then for some reason I didn’t and reached for the yellow?? I completely agree! The burgundy colour I should have done ✅ or even emperors silk . This next project is definitely going a fly party of RED! I am going dexter on it lol 😂
That you may only get if you have seen the series ? Lol 😆
I am secretly thinking based on reply’s and comments that it maybe Olive with Honfleur and Antibes ? And the Barcelona inside with a twisty fun impact 😱...
I will be far as I did ask the subscribers and I will write everyone’s feedback down and match the winner colour palette 🎨
It’s a great challenge for me 💚🎨
Absolutely gorgeous
Unbelievable!!! I love ur work so much..
Ken
Hi Ken!! Cool idea! Its not a crazy idea! Take a peek at this early video that I did. Note: everyone be kind it was my very early video editing days! 😂😂😂🙏🎨❤️ua-cam.com/video/lbBRyjzCxP0/v-deo.html
It is gorgeous! I love it!
I'd like to see you do something reddish and incorporate the red areas of that same transfer. If not that cabinet then a different piece.
Love that transfer it's a good one but you make it GREAT!
... thank you so much for your kind comment and feedback 🙏💙🤗
Looks beautiful.
... thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏💙💙
Gorgeous piece. I have a similar piece waiting for me to decide what to do with it. I had something in my mind that is so similar but in different colors. Now I’m excited to get to work on it.
You can do it Carol!!! Go for it!❤️🎨🙏
Beautiful job
Thank you glad you liked it!! 🎨🙏❤️
Really love how this turned out. I also like that you talked about trouble shooting problems with the piece. I have a piece and had a plan for painting it. After watching this video my plan changed and I’m going to give this a try. Fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing your talents. I appreciate that. 🙏🏻👏🎨
... thank you so much Janice 🙏 for your kind comment and feedback 🤗💙
I am glad I shared the process of this dresser as I had no idea that was going to happen 🤭
But I hope it helps others troubleshoot their projects and still create a fun creative outcome even with the extra TLC 🙌❤️🎨
Hi Christine, your talent never ceases to amaze me because that piece looks pretty challenging. Love that rustic grunge finish, so creative and gorgeous!
... thank you so much Kathy 🙏 for your kind comment 🤗❤️
Stunning!
Thank you so much Sheila 🙏 I really appreciate your thoughtful comment 💙
Another awesome piece!❤

I love it I have to watch it a few more time so I can try it on one of. My bedroom pieces.
... thank you so much for your kind comment and definitely watch the video a few times, when I have tried to learn something new with a UA-cam video I watch it a few times to get all the details into my memory 😉🎨💙
Oh this is just beautiful!! I would love to see the new piece in Burgundy and Athenian black...
Hi Magda! Thank you!! This is great suggestion! 🙏🎨❤️
So beautiful

Turned out beautiful 🤗🇺🇸🎄
Thank you glad you liked it! 🎨🙏❤️
I LOVE it!! You are so creative! How about some mossy greens for the secretary?
Kellene Ellexson ... 🙏 thank you so much Kellene for your kind comment and feedback 💚💚 the moss greens is a beautiful idea 🤗🎨
It’s beautiful, you are a true artist!! As for your new piece, I think a medium or dark green would be so pretty. Your magic blending skills with some others shades will make it special.
... thank you so much Kim 🙏 for your thoughtful comment and feedback 🤗💙
I absolutely love that idea with the dark green and some added shading , maybe even a bold contrast colour inside the cabinet 🧐 💚💚
Love it 😍
The cabinet you showed I can picture it with an olive interior and Scandinavian pink outer. ❤️
Hi Tracey!! Good idea! I did something similar but in the reverse! If you have not seen it take a peek when you have a chance! Note: Please be kind it was a very early video that I did and my video editing was not great! 😂😂😂🎨🙏❤️ua-cam.com/video/6EDK1bm8SRM/v-deo.html
The Reclaimed Heirloom oh I’ll definitely take a look
I’ve a large cupboard I’m thinking of doing in those colours. I’m obsessed with green ha ha x
Wow another amazing video
