Your channel was on my recommendations ( I follow a few art channels as I am an artist myself) and I am so pleased. "tickle" and "smerging" I love the descriptive words. So funny, as soon as you put the black wax on the top of the table and it covered the flowers I actually gasped out loud! and just as fast you said, "don't worry", haha.

I'm extremely impressed with your skilled knowledge and ideas on this table. It so reminds me of the very dark furniture pieces with floral designs my grandparents & great grandparents owned during the 1930s & 1940s, there were also trays, framed artworks, even clothing & handbags for ladies bearing this deeply beautiful rich black & floral motif. You've recreated this look exceptionally well. Also. Please keep talking as I've learned much by listening. After watching I now want to attempt this decoupage style on a large ornately shaped/sculpted old rusted tray I thrifted...I've been waiting for an idea to handle it. Thank you so very much for your kind-natured time & help in bringing us this nicely done video. I am now becoming a new subscriber looking forward to discovering more of your channel.

My mother had an antique shop for years & I've had 2 of my own. I was taught that it was a sin to paint or strip a good piece. That it took all of the value out of it. Ooohhh...I raised my eyebrows when you covered the entire table with black wax...but, I have not worked with wax yet, having worked with ink in watercolor only... but you know, you just have to trust the process!!
