After doing all the lights on the outside of the Tahoe it was time to upgrade the interior lights. I decided to order a kit that came with all the lights I needed to do the interior. I can't believe how much of a difference it made. I honestly think I will be doing this to everything I own. This interior led bulbs work on tahoe yukon and escalade. Hit the comments and let me know what you think.

Recently bought an 02' avalanche as a second vehicle. I just grabbed the light kit from amazon and going to do this to my truck when it arrives! 3 years later and you're still inspiring and helping people. Rock on!
Nice. Thank you for watching
@@TWAMotorsportsSorry may be a super obvious question,But when working and replacing headlights taillights,The dome lights in this video etc should you have the battery disconnected or is it unnecessary??
I never do
5months ago how did it turn out easy was the product from Amazon good??
Did this to my 04 Tahoe makes a big difference!
It is crazy how much better it is
LED sure makes a difference! Great job!
Thank you. Yes the difference is amazing
Amazing video and love how you post all your connections!
Thank you
Your video just helped me do my entire 02 ext interior in about 20 min. Thanks for posting!
Glad it helped.
I installed the light kit. they came out really great. I was probably going to buy them one by one but with this channel save me a lot of money keep up the good work. Lights are phenomenal
Awesome. They make a big difference
Great look I need those door lights cover for my Silverado
I really like them
Thank you
for taking the time to do this video.
very nice job.
Thank you
God bless y’all all
Happy Wednesday Travis. Well I'm in the process of taking the motor and transmission out of my 94 Trans am... Let the fun begin.. it's going to be a long restoration project. I'm replacing everything to brand new. As far as the motor I'm going to fresh up the top end I'm getting some input on my cylinder heads and mild street strip cam. To match the heads..
Good luck on your project man. It sounds like it will be nice when finished
Just ordered a kit for my 01 Sierra bc of this video
Great video! FWIW my peasant grade Tahoe LS did not have the footwell or glovebox lights. LED upgrade = big interior light improvement!
Thank you. Definitely a nice upgrade
So glad I found your video. Only 2:46 in and I subbed and ordered lights. Now to finish the vid.
Thank you. You will love the updated look
Doing this and the 6ON mod on my 05 ESV this week. Super excited.
Huge difference that's for sure
@@TWAMotorsports have the interior leds stayed true since installed ie no flickering etc?
Interior leds did ok. Sometimes they stayed dim until I got out of the truck. Sold before trying to add diodes
Well done. Looks great.
Thank you Kyle.
Looks good! I do this to all my vehicles.. the t/a is next
Thanks so much. I’ve already ordered the lights in a kit off Amazon for my 05 Avalanche. With only 55,600 on it. 1 owner. Looks brand new. You’ve really helped me. Now I can do this without having to guess or figure it out myself.
Thank you. Glad I could help
Can you post a video of how it came out I also have a 05 chevy avalanche and I’m looking into this
@@itsjoey5748 before you get too far into it I have to let you know of my experience. First they look fantastic. Really bright, white daytime lights. I had a 6 year old battery it at the time and it went dead on me within the week after installing the lights. I replaced the battery and it also went dead in about 2 weeks. After weeks of researching it, I believe it is the BCM (body control module) not completely shutting down and causing a parasitic drain. The LED lights are fooling the computer because they do not draw as much power as the halogen bulbs. I have since removed all the interior LED bulbs and reinstalled my old yellow halogen ones. Seems to have cleared up the problem. Appears that to fool the computer, each LED bulb needs a resistor to draw as much power as a halogen bulb. Hope I saved you a lot of money and time.
@@nealcook4830 the problem is the garbage bulbs you bought in that kit.not that it's led but the bulbs themselves get quality like auxito or lasfit cost way more then that kit but last forever and won't drain anything
Lasfit is a way better bulb.
I have an 05 Tahoe and have been wanting to do this. So thankyou very much for making this video and providing the Amazon link! I will be ordering them in a few minutes👍🏼
Thank you. Definitely worth $20
Does your 05 have lights in the rear doors? Mine has reflectors and no lights in there. Was it only certain years that had lights in the back?
BLOWNSST. My rear doors do not light up but after seeing in the video that his does i just assume the bulbs are burned out. But i could see how GM may have cheaped out and just put reflectors in them. I guess i’ll find out when my LEDs come in and i get around to installing them. I’ll let you know.
Lewis Geer his rear doors have the clear section with red, mine rear doors have a completely red reflector, and no lights behind it. I recently did all the interior lights and swapped out interior door handles to Denali/Escalade handles and painted speaker grills black. So I thought it was weird there wasn’t a light, I’m sure it can be added but I got a few little projects going on right now. Let me know what you find if you don’t mind. Thanks bud
@@lewisgeer5830 yeah they may just be burned out. I know my truck just has reflectors on the doors though
Looks good. Can't wait till the Corvette gets some lights.
Thank you. It definitely will after seeing these results.
Now everyone can see what you're doing. Great
Very cool man! I just got an 06 yukon denali, I'll definitely order this kit for it.
Thank you. Its a nice upgrade
I’m currently building my 04 Escalade and pretty much on par doing the same upgrades. Keep up the work. The Tahoe looks great!
Thank you. Good luck on you Escalade
I have an Escalade as well, would the same kit work ?
Yes should all be the same except you will have to bypass any autoride
I found the same brand kit for an Escalade , you think I would still have to bypass?
If you change shocks yes
Great video I went ahead and did this to my yukon and made a huge difference. Thanks for saying get the set from Amazon
Thank you. Glad I could help
Did you use the same set, he use for your Yukon ?
I switched out all of mine years ago but I just saw some of the door lights but replacements with like a strip in them and also some with LEDs behind the reflector
Yeah those can help if replaced
when replacing the bulb under the outside mirror you will see a tab on one side. Push it in towards the mirror and the use a small flat blade screwdriver and pry on opposit side where you will find a tab at the front side and one at the back side, this will release the bulb housig. Then using a phillips head screwdriver remove the 2 screws at the ends and remove bulb and insert the houseing back after tightning the screws. If daylight you will need to cover the sensor on the dash for the bulb to come on. Hope this helps.
Just did my 03 suburban!
Nice
Looks way better
Thank you. I love it at night.
Look's clean u should the the cluster light next it would look better
Thank you
Great! That's a huge bang for the (twenty) buck
Thank you. I totally agree
The Tahoe is so clean man keep it up 🔥 you should put a charging pad for the center console
I do like that charging pad.
TWA Motorsports it looks pretty easy to install
I order one myself from Boost Auto Parts
You don’t need to remove the headliner in order to remove the sunroof headliner. There are 4 bolts holding the glass. Once you remove it you will have access to the sunroof cover. There is a piece of metal on the back that prevents the cover from sliding all the way to the front. There are some type of tap on either side you will have to pull/bend a bit so the metal piece can be removed. Once removed the sunroof cover will be able to slide all the way out. Let me know if you have questions.
Interesting information. Thank you for sharing that
Wrong
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
Thank you
Mines didn’t come with no light under hood but I went and got one off of another truck and put it in. It looks so much better
Some didn't
🙌🏾👍🏾doing mine soon.
Awesome
Im all led too. My back doors in the Yukon don't have lights. Just a red reflector. My stupid headliner does the same thing also. Those map lights were a pain in the ass the 1 st time did them. I had to dremel the chrome but u got em right in.
Yeah the map lights sucked but I got them.
My Avalanche doesn't have one under the hood either. Love that Tahoe
Thank you. I guess they quit that.
@@TWAMotorsports what is the drop on that Tahoe? I watched the other videos but I'm not sure you said
Good stuff as always. Got an idea for content. Do a how to build or building a Tahoe in 10 to whatever minutes. Do a run down of pictures. Seems to be a viral idea on UA-cam. Green truck would make a great one too.
Thank you and thanks for the idea
Looks great. Next you should do the instrument cluster lights. I'm doing all my interior lights in blue and my wife's truck all in purple. I already did all the exterior lights . Painted her hood and top roof because of pealing clearcoat. I painted all my black trim and the windshield arms. I installed a new front grill. I need some rims I have the stock rims and tires. I was planning on spray painting them black. But not sure if they'll look good.
Thank you. Crap you have been busy!
@@TWAMotorsports ... Yeah I still have tons more to do. Plus I'm going to be doing all the mechanical too. Including engine transmission rebuild and suspension. In time.
@@superior3384 awesome
When are you gonna try the 6 hi module on the Silverado and test it for us to see if it works for that truck also?
I took the metals off the headliner dome lights. Looks way brighter..
Interesting
Is there any options for like the window button lights, ac controls switches in the dash? Like a white LED option most of my Silverado’s controls are burnt out but still work good so looking into options of replacing the lights
Not that I have seen. That is a way more in depth install.
You need a adjustable panhard bar so you can Re center your rear end on tahoe right side sticks out more
It measures within half an inch, but you're right it would fix that.
That’s looks good I did my 05 Tahoe but all my lights are green
Thank you. Yeah they did offer other colors.
Can you do a video on how to disable the door chime?
I no longer have this or I would
Looks good i have a 05 suburban z71...did you change n upgrade the lights under the outside mirrors?
I did in the video with the headlights
Bad ass tahoe bro💯
Thank you
Have you had any issues with any of the bulbs installed in this kit?? How long have they been in? Love the videos and all of your vehicles are 🔥🔥🔥
No issues at all. It has since sold but they have had no issues either
Hey! Great video! I’m having an issue where I ordered the kit and put them all in. Now when I want to turn a single overhead light on, it barely turns on and is super dim. But if I do all the lights with the switch, it is bright like normal. How do I fix this?
May need a new bulb. Not the greatest quality honestly
I know you sold it but you can actually take the sunroof glass out from outside the truck, and then youll be able to remove the sunroof liner. For future reference!
That's good to know. Thank you
Great Video! I appreciate the concept, but I don’t think every light should be upgraded just because you can. Courtesy lights, sure. Glovebox, lights under the dash, you bet! But tell me how it feels staring into the upgraded LED sun visor-mirror lights to get a look at your mug? Map-dome lights I think could go either way, I like the more amber original look myself, also doesn’t look so glaringly bright when you open a door. Maybe just the map lights but not the full dome lights. My two bits.
You may be right
That is one clean suburban .
Thank you
Do you know if they have some for an 01 Silverado? Or can I use these too?
Most of them will work.
nice homie
Thank you
Have you tried replacing instrument panel dash lights
Not on these.
What size miniled do you used for the mirror inside up?
Not sure. Link in description to kit it came in.
Hey! Thanks for the video it was very helpful. I installed these same led lights for my truck. I have a 2006 yukon Denali and the middle dome lights are very bright but the other two lights next to them aren’t very bright. Is it supposed to be like that?
And if I turn on the front dome lights and have the back ones on the back ones turn off.
Mine had that issue too. After calling and doing some research it looks like you need resistors to remedy this. I just left it
@@armandodiaz6744
Did your Denali have lights in the back doors like his Tahoe.? Mine are just reflectors, not even wired up.
Some do some don't
do these suburbans come with foot well courtysey lights under passenger and driver side feet?
I don't think so
What led bulb size did you use for the door courtesy lights?
It's in the kit listed in description
I put the swichbacks, didnt like them I like the amber so I put amber in the daytime running lights and amber in the fog lights,I looks so good I did the same thing to my 2010 suburban,I actualy liked my 2004 suburban much better then my 2010 the 6 speed transmission sucks my 2004 transmission has 250k miles on it still going strong my 2010 90k miles slips like hell.
I have had the opposite luck with transmissions in the past.
You would love my YukonXl I have all blue leds throughout the truck dash switches steering buttons everything almost 100 total if I had to guess
I bet that looks a lot better than factory
@@TWAMotorsports definitely very blue almost like a black light effect anything white looks like it is glowing
Great video! Do your steering wheel controls work? Mine work but the lights don’t. Hopefully one day you can make a video replacing them. Your videos are thorough and I know I’ll be able to replace them with your knowledge lol
Thank you. They all actually do work.
Welp if the ever go out keep me in mind 😂😂. But again great video. I’m gong to get them for my wife’s 01 Tahoe!
@@acejanitorialservices6559 I 100% will. Thank you
So I did this to my 06 Sierra Denali and the lights 194 bulbs don't work when the truck is on. Did you experience this? I have to turn the odometer light to Max brightness for them to work.
Mine would randomly do that but I never addressed before it sold
Currently installing these in my 2006 Tahoe quick question my rear doors don’t have led spot lights like the front doors it’s just all red casing instead of white and red not sure there’s even bulbs in the rear doors on my model do you know anything about that or have info on it? Thanks in advance! Love the video!
Some didn't have rear lights
Great video Does this light kit work on a 2005 yukon denali?
Thank you. Yes it does
Gotta be honest I had the kit for months but I’ve been dreading doing it, never you you didn’t have to take off the whole over head console
Yeah it's a 30 min job
Hi, I installed the same LED kit you listed from Amazon on my 03 escalade. I have a problem though, the map lights and back 2nd row and 3rd row lights are dim when not in dome light mode if that makes sense. Please help.
Mine would randomly do the same. And I believe it needed diodes. Never got around to fixing though
Have you ever added footwell lights? My 02 Sierra 1500 has them. But my 04 Escalade base does not. I was thinking about adding some? I saw a good write up online along with photos. Any input would be great brotha. Thank you.
I haven't but sure it wouldn't be hard
Would this work on a 03 Escalade ? And would I have to bypass anything and how ?
It should. No bypass that I know of.
Looking awesome. What color are the bulbs? Bluish white or pure white?
Thank you. Just white
Just did this. Way way brighter, and feels more modern.
Definitely a big upgrade
What size are the rear dome lights are they 41 mm
Not sure. They came in kit listed in video description
Will these fit my 2005 chevy silveraod pick up crew cab?
Yes
So all the lights u took off and replaced with new ones those are the same ones u put in The link in the description like do they fit in a 2003 Silverado ?
No they are led
For some reason my truck didn’t come with the harness to add a courtesy light bulb for the rear doors panels it’s kinda strange is there any way I can change that?it’s a 05 Yukon
I have noticed some don't
I did this with some LASFIT white 194 led bulbs and it toasted the fuse for the dome lights. I’m not sure why and I tried it again and blew the fuse again. Did this ever happen to you ?
Light bulb may have a short. Try another bulb
eBay has some really cheap bulbs and really great quality
These were $20 for all. Thought that was a great deal.
I really like the headlights, where did you get them ?
Thank you. Amazon. Link in description
On the center dome light is a steel cover that covers light you should remove them
Thanks for the heads up
@@TWAMotorsports Those are heat shields for the halogen bulbs, so the difuser does not melt.
Do you think they have some for a 98 Silverado ?
I'm sure something similar
Travis, I have a 2004 Yukon and I was thinking about going full LED like you did. Did you have any flicker problems or anything? I've heard that can be a problem.
Randomly one burns out but I didn't have any flickering issues
I bought the same kit for my 06 Tahoe but when I put my map light bulbs in they glitch any idea what can be the issue ?
Mine had similar issues. Needed replaced and I sold it before doing it
I did this to my yukon denali and I installed led floor lights connected to the door panel and it looks like a new car
Isn't it crazy
Awesome job. How did you do lights in the rear doors? Have never seen lights in the rear doors just the red reflectors.
Was that an option?
It was an option
Cool, wonder if the 04 my folks just got is wired up for those? Will have to check next time I pull the panels off.
I got a truck with the same kit swapped into it, but now the front map lights don't turn on when I open the doors, but will turn on when the button is pressed, I don't know a lot about this truck so is there a way I can fix that? It's a 01 Suburban LT
may just need a replacement
Would this work on a 2002 silverado 1500?
Yes just less bulbs used.
What drop kit do you have, I’m currently trying to figure out what drop I want for my Yukon
I made an entire video on it. Linked parts in video description
What kind of rims are those? Please and thank you
2014 up Sierra Wheels
I used the same kit on my 04 Tahoe. They flicker and the back dome lights turn off when I turn the front map lights on. Any way to fix this? Only the lights on the switch flicker. And the front map lights flicker when they're both on...??
I never had a flicker
You can change the cluster to LEDs the head light switch the wiper switch the visors and last the climate control switch all to LEDs
How? I need a video pls
It's not the easiest thing to do.
Where did you get your puddle LED lights from
Put them in with the headlights. I put a link in that video.
But the Tahoe is looking great
Is it the same thing for a 2003 GMC yukon??
Yes
Do you have a 05 4x4 Hydro booster video??
No
How long do theses last and Have you had any electrical problems or flickering or buzzing with this led kit ?
No buzzing and they seem to last 1 year or more from my past experiences
How’s it going man, got a 2003 chevy tahoe 5.3L. Im having a little issue with it where the cluster stopped working and started draining my battery. Any guesses on what it could be?
Common issue with them. Probably needs rebuilt
Just did a complete LED upgrade on my wife's 02 Trailblazer and my 01 Silverado. Huuuuge difference,👍
I agree. Were have I been lol
I installed led on my interior headliner lights but only the middle one works but the other 2 on the sides wont , what should I do?
Try to reverse them
Do you think this same kit could fit in a 2005 GMC Yukon ?
Yes
Hey where’d you get the leds I’ve been wanting to do this for my 2013 Tahoe but I don’t know where to get the lights
Link in video description
Have you thought to install the same brand brakes that you used on your GMC truck?
I have but these are in great shape.
@@TWAMotorsports You can always buy 2007 Tahoe brake calipers and rotors, they come dual piston, and are bigger diameter rotors, you get much better stopping power without buying pricey upgrades.
