I love the gold. It’s so different from anything else I’ve seen on here. The heat gun really is perfect for much of what we do in our crafting.
It came out gorgeous, I love the colors on it. I thought you were going to do the gray as the ocean and the gold as the sunset . I still love it,absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful golden ocean and great lacing, Louise! 😍👍💕 That's a great little heat gun, too. Took the words right out of my fingertips. I was thinking how that expanding paste (never even heard of it!) would make great, 3D waves, especially around objects like rocks or seashells.

TIP: If you need the flat attachment a bit more parallel to the canvas, just flip the heatgun upside down and push the resin that way. 😊

Sugar, you are a crafter, there are no rules. If you want a gold ocean then you get a gold ocean. At times the ocean can look golden in the right light and angles.

I love it! Everyone always does the same old thing all the time. Stepping outside the box is the best way to create!! BTW....you make me laugh....how old your gold leaf is and your dad....ha ha ha!!!

Hi Louise, I just wanted to let you know that we can get some amazing strong matte varnishes here in the uk from Amazon. My go to is the obvious Mod Podge and I also have that in a spray bottle with a ratio of 2 parts water, 2 parts isopropyl 99% and then 1 part Mod Podge depending upon which flavour you prefer. I use that for sealing as it’s super fluid it can soak into places where you don’t see and that’s thanks to the isopropyl. Mostly used in the diorama world as far as I understand.
The next option I would recommend is DuraClear and that comes in a variety of different flavours also including an ultra matte option. Both options are water based.

Did you put clear down before the white? It helps my waves flow a bit better.

Yeah, I am curious, too. The captions kept saying "size,"
To add the gold foil she used guilding glue or (size).
The waves are made with white colored resin.
The glass chips are secured with matte varnish.
