For your information if you take one fiber say it’s 10 inches long, tape it to a table and sand, one side, only flat, wherever you sand that it will light up so you could make a shooting star appear in your resin sky
I think you could you just have to remember you can only open up one side of that small cylindrical fiber, and the light will escapes through it. You can do it in just spots or you could do what you were bending into a lightning bolt shape when the light runs, it will light up just that side. @@donnaselinger8602
As Bob Ross used to say, "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents". All of your accidents were happy. This is a beautiful piece and I learned a lot from watching you do it. Thank you.
My goodness, lady. I admire your work SO MUCH. You just keep coming out with miracle after miracle, with the occasional beautiful, vintage looking piece of modern history.. I just can't believe it. I can't imagine how much these things must cost you. I'm living way under the poverty level, but if you have a membership or patreon, I can't give much, but I would be totally willing to give what I can! Also, most soap that goes in the microwave is called melt and pour soap. If you grind up most soap, you don't want to put it directly in the microwave. You can put it in water heated by the microwave, or in a water bath in the oven, but I'd really recommend using the water bath in the oven method for the traditional hot process soaps.
An absolutely stunning piece of art !!! I love your artistic ability & your imagination of seeing these gorgeous pieces !! You should be so happy & proud of this. The wires look like rain & the night sky is beautiful 😍. Thank you so much Louise !! I always learn so much from you
I really like this. So many different ideas and techniques used. Trial and error is how we get better. Glad you were willing to share some of yours. I love the clouds. In the end, it turned out very nice.
I love seeing you work at whatever you are making. You have a lovely voice and I love to hear you talk as you explain everything. I also think you have a good sense of humour You succeed, it was very beautiful and I loved the stars and the rain. I loved everything!
This is incredible Louise!!!! Like WOW ❤ You have completely inspired me to try and create a fibre-obtic scene. Everything you have done is absolutely gorgeous 😍 It is truly so beautiful.
Louise it’s fabulous, I absolutely love it. You never fail to inspire and you explain everything beautifully. Thank you so much for the inspiration. And of course I’ve hit the thumbs up button.
I mean..it looks amazing! I love how it looks like rain! And kind of foggy at the bottom...or maybe like a waterfall dropping into a lake or something...idk its different and i love it
Looks great, the only thing I would change is not to have as many cloud's so that I could have a bit more blue sky showing through. Apart from that a lovely project.
very cool! the fibers make perfect "rain"! the only soap I've found that works for clouds is Ivory, the old cheap white bar. I love listening to your soothing voice.
It's a stunning piece! I have both one of those lamps (they were called UFO lamps in Sweden) and a small handheld one for concerts. Now I want to try and put fiber optics into resin too.
I like it, think you got such a neat effect. It really does look like it’s raining. So cool. Now I’m wondering if it’s possible to make something like it in a circle instead of a square. 🤔🤔🤔
Absolutely stunning.. so many steps! I agree my favorite layer is the clouds and rain but love the dark blue sky and stars too. How did you think of all the layers!!??
I am absolutely amazed with your creativity. This piece is amazing. What a lovely piece of art,& one that can be displayed very easily in one's home. Don't know if I could attempt it,I'm a bit challenged that way. Loved how it turned out. Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
This is amazing on so many different levels! The clouds are aaaahmazing! And the stars! Oh my! So cool! Could you tell me please, what size fiber optic cable you used? I looked on Amazon and there are a bunch of different diameters-who would have thought? Thank you!! So lovely!
I think you did a great job on this and now I'm thinking of doing something similar to this. I like experimenting with my supplies just to see what happens. Although i think i might do some star constellations if i do get around to it. Should be a fun project to try either way.

Oh my word that is an amazing tip! Thank you so much.

Wondering if lightning could be made that way
