As to your question regarding the angle of your father's picture, at certain views of the pyramid, the picture looks to have been put the way you asked about. I still think this piece is perfect. I also can see where you got your engineering perspective. I bet he taught you a great deal regarding spatial thingamajigs. You are so lucky, Louise, to have had such a loving father, and it's clear how you treasure the memories you have of him. I do believe he is with you always as love is the strongest connection humans can have. Nothing can break that bond. Thanks again, Louise, for your impressive videos. I lost my beloved husband 9-13-21 and this is something that I would love to do. He was a fisherman and hunter and this would be a wonderful memorial to him. But I have zero experience with resin so I will have to find some videos that can walk me through learning how. But thank you so very much for such a wonderful tribute to your father.

I have been trying to think of a way to do something for my Godmother who passed away yesterday… I want to make something for my two cousins as my Godmother is their mum… something like this will be perfect… I need to get a favorite picture of her and make something like this… what possibilities there are!!!

Deb I am so sorry for your loss. I actually think you could do it, I really don’t consider myself an expert by any means. I think it’s just a case of having the confidence to try it and think to yourself ‘what’s the worst that could happen?’ If it doesn’t go to plan you will learn many things along the way. I know I learn more from my mistakes than my successes.

Lovely idea Louise, I might make for my Dad. A few more ideas that might be both interesting and cheaper. If you are looking for gravel you can buy colourful pea gravel in fairly large bags very cheaply from builders merchants also garden centres sell different kinds of decorative gravel that you might find useful. To help with bubbles where you cannot use heat, you could try vibrating the piece with an electric toothbrush. These can be bought very cheaply from Poundsaver type shops. I love this! It’s such a beautiful memorial to your father. It’s filled not with just very carefully placed nuts and bolts.. but love💞. I have a feeling our fathers were much alike. I don’t think there’s was anything my Dad couldn’t fix and I have my own treasured nuts and bolts of his as well . He taught me how to wire a house and how to use power tools. I don’t think it ever occurred to him that many fathers don’t teach their daughters these skills. He was also a father to my sweet hubby.. who never really had one. I miss him every day. Our son just called me asking about an electrical issue so, that knowledge lives on. Also.. I like the picture on an angle, it reflects the many dimensions that I’m quite sure your father had.

I think everyone now has an idea of how to create a piece of meaningful art from your pyramid. It’s just so unbelievably different!!! The optical illusions are brilliant and mind blowing. What a great tribute to your father. And now we know where you get your talent .. or some of your talents from. My dad worked for Southern Pacific Railroad till he passed back in 1986 and this gives me some great ideas.. I’ll wait for a while bc I’m sure more will come. Thank you Deneen, I’m sorry for your loss. The thing with memorials is, so much love goes into them that even if the end result isn’t technically perfect it will still look wonderful. Maybe try a small one first to build your confidence.

Louise this is a beautiful way to do a memorial for your Dad.I lost my husband in May 13 yrs ago and Dad in Sept of the same year .So things like this and photos mean so much when they are no longer here.I don’t do this type of art but I do enjoy watching the videos.I love all the layers and the best being the nuts ,bolts,screws and nails..I hope you treasure these and thank you for sharing your memories.Love n Light 🥰

I think everyone now has an idea of how to create a piece of meaningful art from your pyramid. It’s just so unbelievably different!!! The optical illusions are brilliant and mind blowing. What a great tribute to your father. And now we know where you get your talent .. or some of your talents from.
My dad worked for Southern Pacific Railroad till he passed back in 1986 and this gives me some great ideas.. I’ll wait for a while bc I’m sure more will come. Thanks Louise, as always I’m amazed and inspired. This is fabulous just fabulous 🙌💯👏👏👏
