    Louise, my name is Ozwald Gardner. Listening to you has brought back wonderful memories of my Great Grandparents. Both immigrated to the states from Great Britain. It's been decades since I last thought about them. Thank you for helping to bring them back into my heart.

    I’m Scottish, joined the army at 18 and been all round the world, I’m now 65 and live in England, no Bob is not a local thing, everywhere I went and folk I knew said this. Their is another part to it, you can say ‘Bobs your Uncle and Fanny’s your Aunt’ back in the day everyone seemed to have an uncle Bob somewhere lol I’ve got these moulds and not used them yet, probably had them two years, so guess I’ll get onto it then lol love love love those papers you used. So from freezing cold Suffolk hugs x Ann x

    Thanks for showing the good and the bad, Louise. It will 100% help to know when adding paper or pictures into resin.
    Yes, in the US, Bob's our uncle as well! lol
    Local sayings (okay, at least this is what my mom told me)... I've always called pot holes in the roads 'chuck holes' bc that's what my parents called them. Someone asked me once why, so I asked her. She said that back in the 50-60s, the roads were so bad that everyone blamed the Mayor of our city (Charles something) and so, a local phrase was born. I'd love to know if she's full of it and if anyone else ever called them this. Hahaha

    Hi! My mom always said "...and Bob's your uncle." So it's quite natural for me, hearing it. I don't often get a chance to say it myself, though. Reasons.
    These are very cool, and while I don't planmany notebooks, I am interested in adding paper to jewelry and thought this might give me some tips for that.

    I stumbled across one of your videos a few days ago because I've been trying to find the "right" resin art content creator and I finally found you. You are amazing! You create AMAZING, beautiful artwork and I think you are the best on UA-cam. In fact, I was starting to think maybe I didn't like resin art based on what I was finding, and then I saw yours and realized this is what I was looking to for inspiration. I want to try it, and you are such a good teacher and very talented artistically. Love this journal! I'm really excited to watch all the rest of your videos. ❤❤❤❤❤

    They’re all really beautiful. I love the look of paper in resin. Thanks for showing the difference in the way you pour while adding the paper, I was wondering if it would have bubbles. Adding the gold on both the writing paper and the cover is lovely, it’s a great finishing touch. I made notebook covers recently and I wish I had thought of that. I did add a leather snap closure that I was really happy with. “Bob’s your Uncle”😆 I’m familiar with the phrase and it always makes me smile but, I’d say it’s somewhat rare to hear it in person.. it has been more popular since social media. We’re in Utah, western US.

    I'm very tempted by the Istoya mixer. I have a resin mixer, but I rarely use it. I have found that having to hold it in one spot for several minutes is actually more tiring than mixing the resn by hand.
    I've been experimenting with using paper in resin, but I have been very unhappy with the results using mod-podge or clear varnish. Not sure why I didn't try spraying it with varnish. As you stated, laminating the paper only works if you can leave a border of the plastic to keep the paper sealed inside. I've also had the problem with bubbles (I have found this is more problematic with thin molds). Thank you for doing this experiment and showing ways to reduce that problem.
    These came out great ❤. I've heard "Bob's your uncle" even in Arizona 😂.

    Love these, I have quite a few notebooks done and just made the refills myself by cutting copy paper down to size, rounding the corners with a corner punch then using a 6 hole punch for the holes that I got from Amazon as the refills were far too expensive. Much better with a ream of decent copy paper that will do quite a lot of notepads. I'm in Glasgow and Bobs your Uncle is a saying here too 😊

    • @LouiseSingletonCreations
      @LouiseSingletonCreations  Місяць тому +1

      @evelynbrown5312 Місяць тому

      @@LouiseSingletonCreations it wasn't too bad actually as the punch has lines on it to punch in the middle. The punch can do the 6 in a row or the 3 on each side with the space in the middle. I just cut the corners with a corner punch afterwards
