I love how at 0:24 you can hear all the aerodynamics of the body start to really kick in. Mines Na I never went this fast but you can definitely start to feel the car compress and feel the downforce after 100mph. It’s an amazing feeling. You feel sucked to the ground.
That's not what you're hearing. You're hearing the opposite, the aerodynamic inefficiency of the car kicking in... as it's not designed with this kind of speed in mind. Educate yourself my friend!
Can you guys please elaborate? The car aerodynamics are not designed for such speeds?
@@DexterDexter-oz9gk Check is right and this is also true for any car in this price range, the GT86 is slightly above average at best. It wont produce any significant downforce at higher speed, just higher and higher drag, this is bad for stability, many components and design choice made this car unstable at speed, again because of cost. Thanks to the big aftermarket, everything can be fixed. There are many ways to improve the GT86 aerodynamics at speed; front splitter, flat floor, rear diffuser, wing. Make sure you have adequate knowledge before modifying the car, many aftermarket components (and combination of components) will either reduce the performance or make the car unsafe.
What compression ratio were the pistons in this? Is it stock 12.5:1?
Subtle turbo noise
Did you have all the OEM underbody covering installed during this run? Including the engine cover and transmission tunnel cover
how is the max hp you can put in this car without change the motor block, like putting turbos or that things?
Well depends. There isnt enough testing to say that at exactly a certain hp number it will blow up. But it is recommended to drive a maximum of 320hp on the stock block before putting forged interals in it. :)
Woaw GT86
More videos of this beast :) maybe some walkaround with some kind of description of parts used in build
Sadly the car ended up in a tree due to icy road lol. Would've loved to make more videos about it...

270km and the door is unlocked…
Had you ever done a 0-60mph measure with 400hp? I’m curious and the answer does not seem easy to find oddly.
It’s going to be dependent on many things besides the power including weight, gearing, tires, and the driver.
I actually never did since I didnt want to stress the transmission too much. Gearbox and differentail were both stock and putting 2x the amount of HP on them was already stressful enough lol
What mods u had done for extra 200 horses?@@thun.ed_gr86
I can't believe a fd2r is more stable at 270+kph.
does it feel stable at top speed? any idea what was that sound starting near 270?
It definitly doesnt feel stable^^ Since the original car is only made for about 220km/h.
The sound was only air coming in somewhere.
i can see that fuel gauge going down hehe
More videos??
well since the car ended up in a tree due to icy roads the answer is sadly no.
@@thun.ed_gr86:(
Same like Porsche enjin
Damn kinda stable at that speed? 😬
As long as you dont even think about moving the steering wheel it's okayish 😅
El de la hilux pasandole
403 HP... and can't break 10s 100 - 200 (i know you're starting @ 100 but if 127 - 200 is in the 9's... sheesh).
Is the car reliable with forged internals?
I drove it for around 20'000km with this setup and never had an issue with the engine :)
Which head unit do you have ?
i was trying to look it up, but since i don't have the car anymore i cannot really find it, sorry.
please specs list

@@thun.ed_gr86 is this to the wheels or crank? Im about buy a brz i hace a 6266 turbo for it, its off my si, my power goals are 290-300whp on pump and anywhwre from 350-400whp on race gas, any advice you could share on what is a must or if its possible on a stock internal motor
Alot od people tell me its really more avout the tuner/tune itself
@@austinweippert4065 This is Engine Horsepower in Europe we never use WHP.
My Tuner recommended a maximum of 320hp on the stock engine, i don't know how reliable that is tho.
For Gas I always used 100 Octane, but it is also possible on 98 Octane. I never used a custom mixture.
Will better suspension and aero kit make the car more stable at higher speed??
yeah, probably
The biggest thing is getting a clutch pack limited slip differential, the OEM Torsen behave like an open differential, it does nothing to keep the rear stable and strait.
U couldn't have done 300kmh in a suby😀😀😀😀
the transmission ends at 273km/h, with a different transmission i'm pretty sure 300km/h would be possible.
Have you got instagram?
