Imagine my surprise this morning to hear my name mentioned. 🙂. I’m so happy to have the Leo Salazar. Knew I wanted him as soon as you picked him up at the store. I also have a carving from one of Leo’s sons, Michael. They look great together. And love that you shared the money with habitat. You’re one of my favorite UA-camrs. Been watching for quite awhile. The fact you’re also from the PDX metro area is a great bonus.
Aww that makes me so happy he’s going to be added by another Salazar piece! ❤️ It was meant to be 🙌
Kkk
I really appreciate your integrity on giving back to Habitat for the Leo Salazar sculpture. That is one of the reasons I watch your videos.
Yes! Me too! I have quit watching a number of other resellers because I am tired of hearing them complain about the prices they pay at GW, other thrift stores, etc. They would never consider returning a portion of their profits to the organization.
You eye, your knowledge and your excellent curation are why your items are worth every penny you sell them for! Your vignettes are amazing.
I love your taste and admire the way you compose your staging displays. Your shopping trips are almost as fun as going along and coming home with bargains because of your upbeat, adventurous spirit. Great channel!
Habitat for Humanity is a fantastic organization and thank you for donating!
I really appreciate the way you do your videos. I enjoy all aspects, the shopping, styling, information regarding the value/history of the pieces, etc.
I appreciate your kindness in donating back to Habitat for Humanity and your willingness to donate valuable pieces to museums. I think your genuineness will cause your channel and business to thrive.
What a wonderful video. I’m loving the “thrift, style, update” format but I really can’t wait for your sister’s bedroom reveal.❤️
Hi… I am from India … I’m watching and enjoying your videos coz of vintage shopping as well as more than that learning English .. I am a English learner … Thank you for everything 😊❤ and yessss I love your decorating ideas… so mesmerising …. 😊
Laura, thank you for you great videos! I love your style and demeanor, watching you is not only educational but relaxing because of your sweet personality ❤🙏🏻
I love those zigzag candle holders!
I enjoy watching you and I have learned so much from you about the antique business.🌹
Anytime of the day is a good morning when I pop on one of your videos I love your chipper sweet attitude and I love that you teach us thank you for what you do I love to see you have a blast can't wait to join you someday
Wow Laura ! You never cease to amaze me. And I was delighted to read a story about you the other day published by the Sun and it was top story in my Google Feed. Congratulations. You’re a rock star of thrifting.
My love of vintage grew in Germany. We were stationed there from 72 to 96 (my dad retired and became an army civilian like me) so I went to a lot of flea markets growing up. Then I moved stateside and started going to thrift stores.
I'd love to see your process for researching your "unknown" finds". Love going along with you on your thrifting adventures (near & far).
I have to say that you are an amazing interior designer! Very inspiring!
So happy to have found your channel. I’m in England and love “thrifting” and up cycling. I miss Goodwill stores - lived in WI for 7 years and loved mooching around in Goodwill. X
Wryn is adorableeee❤❤❤❤
What a blessing you are Laura for giving back 😊😊
Your kitchen is absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your content!
Whoa! You killed this video. They way its put together is perfection...😊
Thank you . I do enjoy your picks and information. I have always been interested in art, and I would love to read your Art book of the world. I am now 83 and currently unable to walk very far, so shopping with you is fun.
I'm getting a seal or sea lion with arched back, and not a bird, from that first piece you picked up. I love that tiered candleholder from the 1990's artist. Great find.
Your staging skills are incredible. Even though mid century modern is not me, I love what you do with your beautiful finds. Really enjoy your channel andtheway you educate viewers. Thamkyou Laura.
Canadian girl here….I have come to the conclusion that the “goodwills” in my area of NB suck. I rarely find anything that gets me excited. Don’t get me wrong, I have found the odd item but when I see what you & others find daily, weekly, monthly, I am so jealous!!! It does, however, make watching your videos very interesting. Keep thrifting & teaching us. 🥰
LOL I have the same problem over here in regional Australia! Everything at the thrift is so-so bar the occasional piece. If I wanna get excited I have to visit the consignment place up the hill and hope I can spot some overlooked treasure. 😆
Same I'm in Nova Scotia. Sometimes find the odd piece of pottery, that's it though.
I’m in the same position. We have NO good thrift store here in northern Ontario Canada. They are very junky & expensive. It’s so frustrating.
I totally agree with following your gut. I don’t normally pick up art pieces because they are usually priced way too high for what they are in our thrift stores here in Oz but this week I just couldn’t pass by a particular piece that was only $10. When I got home I found it was buy South African artist Godfrey Ndaba and could be worth up to $500. I might b keeping that for myself because I actually really like it.
Yes,They are floating candles, pretty
It is such a treat to watch pull your designs together! A sure sign that you are doing what you were meant to do. Giacometti is pronounced jock-a-metti. Accent on the first syllable.
I love that donation system for big,k lucky finds. Well done you splitting the profit. That is where you hooked me. Sending you kindness and a thank you hug.
Those floating tropical flowers are beautiful. You have the right idea: keep them for decoration, don't burn!
Laura I am so envious of your decorating skills! You make everything looks so amazing! Oh and that fake fruit bag YES!!
I’m so excited to finally meet you this spring!! 😘❤️
It’s rare to find tropical flower candles in 2nd hand shops. So wild to think the previous owner also didn’t use it. Too pretty to light up the wick ❤
Really love the orange glass vase - it will add such a great pop of color to a room!
I saw your thumbnail and said "OMGoodness, there it is, that is PERFECT!" Then I grabbed my hubby and showed him the orange vase and said "this is what I am looking for!" The color and size are prefect for what I need it for. Gonna check my local thrift stores for that vase. Thank you!
I love the orange vase.
Dang I wish we had Good Will Super store's here.
Where I live, all of north Utah, we have Goodwill, and it sucks.
@@traceyhacking7109 same here! I think these shows like this is basically advertising to get people in GW.
@@traceyhacking7109 😂😂thats 4 sure an answer!!!😅😉
@@traceyhacking7109 😂😂😂😂
Im in the UK and we dont and im sort of glad as id probably never get out! Soo much stuff its mind boggling. The clothes look fab………
I am always amazed at what you find from Goodwill. I really must spread my horizons up here in Seattle, learning so much from you.
Each one is unique I’d say.
This channel keeps getting better and better.
I couldnt love your mid mod style any more than I do! I drove up Oregon/wash coast and thrifted all the way! The BEST!!!! I’m coveting all your finds!
Laura, you really have a design eye and artistic talent, bravo! ❤
Love your styling!!
I love your videos because you are very SMART and calm and decorate beautifully.
Nice & informative episode. Ty
My favorite part is to see how you stage. The items are all different, but the colors play well nicely.
Great video today! The goodwills in your area are so much nicer. Ours are so dirty & the selection is minimal. Loved seeing the “update” section. So nice if you to donate 1/2 back to Habitat for Humanity, love that! Can’t wait to see your sisters bedroom remake & the rest of your home remodel! Happy thrifting 😊
Fabulousness! Your style, your genuineness and caring of other people less fortunate are just some of the reasons I adore you! One day John and I will be able to take a trip with you guys 🥰 We will be in Scotland again during one of the Italy trips. 🎉 London maybe? 🤔🤔
I hope you have the best time in Scotland!! Oh we would be thrilled to have you and John join us on the London/Cotswolds trip!! 😁
You are just so awesome Laura! I just showed and explained the monk to my husband. We think that you ROCK!
❤️❤️
The orange vase could be a vintage reproduction by Crate and Barrel. They’ve done many interesting shapes and colors over the years and always good quality.
I believe you were born with the touch!
OMG! Fantastic finds! That was so kind of you to donate to Habitat for Humanity. Your vignettes (spelling?) are always so beautiful. You have such a talent! And those zigzag wood candleholders...I LOVE THOSE! Dang, I want those! Oh, and that green lamp shade was perfect for that lamp.
Love those lamps! Really enjoy you taking us along to these shops, as there just are not many where I’m living, but whenever I get to one, I head straight to the housewares section. 😊
Laura, if was great to see you expand your comfort zone, purchasing the orange Mid-Century vase! The lamps were delicious, like you I don’t mind small chips here or there, a few, not a lot. I describe them to my brain as just their backstory. I think you and I are not of the norm, I have had a vintage shop on Etsy since 2011, my customer base is very diverse, but chips are out of the question. Regardless it is vintage and one of a kind, people still want items with no damage. So I have solved that problem easily, I would keep the lamps for myself and list something from my personal lamp collection. When I add to my own home, I will sell or donate items. Space is always the constant obstacle. 😂😂 nice haul👏❤️👏
Your love for Italian pottery had an influence on me; I found a cute little dish at my local booth place for just $18, I heard your voice in my head as soon as I flipped it over and saw 'italy' 😆 I was able to identify the company and list it in my Etsy store for 3 figures. Phone bill paid! 🙌
I wish that we had thrifts like that here. Ah well, I like watching what you get anyway. Just my opinion; and of course it's subjective-but, I think that Italian pottery lamp would look better with a white/linen lamp shade. :)
Cant wait to see your sister’s makeover! Saw the orange vase and gasped - soo cool 🟠🟠🟠
My eyes are really attracted to the color orange lately. Love the 3 tiered globe vase/lamp and love the art piece with the women behind it.
I can't wait for your sister's room makeover surprise. Just love your style. Thanks for sharing 😘
I love getting to new carts at the Goodwill too! That orange vase reminds me of Scandinavian designed pieces. Beautiful!
I love the orange bubble vase! But, the comp for the Kaiser lamp was ceramic. 14:48
WOW, good on you girl! I could not have let those zigzag candleholders go.
It was so nice to run into you.
The item you thought was a bowl holder is part of a Sky Zone mist maker. It holds the bowl part of the mist maker. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing them!🙂
I cannot wait to see your living room and the bomb shelter!!!! :)
Yesss many times I thought why so worried about the little chips. In Europe, if it's not a huge one, little imperfections makes the object more wabi.sabi, and gives it some more character.
Thanks. You are very talented advertiser and businessmen. And you choose the things are very correct for interior design. The orange glass vase is gorgeous. That peace will be great in interior.
I believe the carved out pottery is for orchids
Way to go on the Orange vase!!
I keep hearing about this makeover...
It will be fun to mix it up a bit and see something different. 💕
I love your videos. I found your videos when I was trying to find about the vintage jewelry, since I have been collecting jewelry and repurpose them, Two years ago I decided to learn how to make Metalsmith jewelry and I was able to pay for my classes for 1 year. Now I have lots of jewelry new made by me and repurpose jewely. I wanted to open my online store but I didn't know where to go, until you mention the website you create your store. I will give it a try. Thank you.
Oh when oh when will we see your sisters bedroom makeover? I can hardly wait, I check everyday.
Laura what a great holiday a flee market in ROME what a treat HI JESSIE 🐕I hope to see ROME flee Market 😂💟🐿️💟🐈💟
You found some GREAT stuff today!! I especially love that McLean abstract candle holder. Really cool.
Thank you so much Laura🫶😊 You have such style/styles for us.
Wow your studio is really getting full . You always find good things. I have been watching you for a long time you have grown much. I wish you the best
Thank you Peggy! ❤️ I appreciate you for watching and the encouragement!
Perfect- just what I needed after a long week.❤️👋❤️
So , Jesse and I are kindred spirits and sentimental! I am a kitschy gnome I thus it’s as well😂
I don't miss the car hauls! Love the style portions of your videos!
Everything you got today was so nice! The orange piece is glorious!! The Italian vintage lamps, to die for! Next time I go to the US I am definitely going thrifting!!! Thank you for showing us the way stage our acquisitions, ❤❤❤
Brass knuckle candleholder. 😁
The travel trip sounds so dope❤❤❤
I don’t know how you do it! I go into my local Goodwills (Gresham, Woodstock, & east Portland) & never find the things like you find. I guess I am shopping in the wrong stores 😊 xo
You’re just what I needed for a relaxing evening! 😊
I love those beautiful flower candles... absolutely gorgeous
I like your hair more in the rain!
I'd weight the flower candles so the heat from regular ones is not to close
How about lighting the water from underneath? Could make the whole floating flowers glow
What an awesome video. Thanks for inspiring me to do a video of my own. Thanks so much!
Love you Laura, thank you for inspiring me. 🦘
That Orange vase is Fantabulous!! It's case glass I believe.
Laura, I loved the vlog! I love bold, pops of color too.👌🏻✨
So cool, those italian lamps and mexican pottery are beautiful
I thought of you today when I went back to my favorite thrift store to purchase a bamboo bookshelf that I saw there yesterday, and it was already GONE! I should have grabbed it when I had the chance.
That’s the hook that keeps me over buying in various bargain stores! “I better grab it.”
Isn't that orange piece a GURGLE vase? Yeah... we buy that!!
Love those candle holders and it’s so cool that you had those snowball candles from another thrift haul.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like to see what kind of vintage is native to places other than the midwest. I've been enamored with MCM, 1950's and Art Deco since I was a teen.
I love your home aesthetic, you have eclectic taste with your decor selections which just work so well……loved the orange vase / decor piece, l had a lamp very similar to the vase but with 3 cats you don’t always get to keep what you have…..mid century modern is a favourite of mine .
The orange glass vase looks like Kaiser. Approx $500.00.
I am also live in Oregon. Aloha Oregon.
I am such a thrift adict, I need to go shopping but don't get paid until the 15th. Patience is a virtue for sure. Maybe ill go on a trip with you in 2024.
Laura posts and I’m so happy. 😊
