I think it's a mix of both, but generally the thrifter, if you go in the "thrifting mindset" (ik yk what I mean, like creativity plays a HUGE factor) you will most probably find something that works, a thrift flip, a basic you rlly like and use, etc etc but if you're just not in it, you'll probably just get bummed out and leave earlier without reaaaaally rummaging through thoroughly
A bit of both but the more often you go the better you get and the more likely you are to find things. In Sweden though where I'm at our shops are way way smaller than the US ones so you're never going to have the same big hauls that I see you and other UA-camrs in the US mange to get your hands on.
The thrifter! Because thrifting takes a lot of time and patience, which not everyone has, plus I know for myself it makes me step out of my comfort zone more in terms of what Im used to wearing vs. what I try at the thrift store :)
It's also the figure of the thrifter... I am, for example a bit larger, 1,75 cm... And the clothes here are mostly made for smaller wemen.. So you will find mostly smaller peaces.
If you soak stained clothes in hot water and OxiClean overnight, the stains will usually completely disappear. I do this all the time with thrifted clothes. I only thrift all-natural materials (like cotton and linen), so I have not tried this method on polyester clothes, but I can fully attest that OxiClean soak literally works wonders on the natural materials. I never leave stained stuff behind at the store because I can always save it.
I always say this! People swear certain thrift stores are trash... but it's not the store usually.... it's the thrifter! And typically it's something that can't be taught. Some people just have the "eye"/ natural ability and fashion sense to find and grab the gems. I always love your content! And I'm so impressed that you keep us entertained with the thrift content while being a mom and wife, which is a full time job. Much love beautiful!!!
While the thrifter itself is definitely important, I do feel like the Red White and Blue in my area is by FAR the best thrift store for some reason. They always have it organized and have the best items for great prices. I never leave there empty handed and never find anything at the salvation army right next to it. 🤷🏽♀️ I absolutely love you and your thrifting inspiration, thank you for what you do🩷 thrifty treasures!!
Yes totally! there is somthing about a clean and organized thrift store that makes it so much more enjoyable! I feel like I have more patience so I look through more things ❤❤❤
As someone whos thrift shopped since I was able to walk and reach the racks with my mom, I definitely think it does have to do with the stock and sizing as well. I only have 2 thrift shops in my area (even then, they are pretty far) one barely has clothes and the other is a salvation army that is extremely hit or miss and has gone down hill in the past few years. There's no size organization. The men's section never even has enough to completely fill a rack anymore. Its takes an open mind and good eye but if it's not a well stocked store it definitely also depends on whatever stock they put out and if you are lucky enough to find in your size. Plus size thrifting is a whole different struggle. I just recently got the best haul I've gotten in a year from that thrift shop, after trips of flops. And I'm so excited! I love the hunt and not knowing what you'll find.
It’s definitely the thrifter! You’re so fashionable and you’re always prepared and know what types of things you’re looking for so I think that’s very helpful. I love watching you shop lol
Those Tommy overalls are such a gem and my ultimate thrift goal because back in 1998 I met my husband and he was wearing those Tommy overalls!!! So nostalgic 🥹💞
It’s definitely the thrifter, I have found some gems over the years and I am a fashion designer so I can alter or remake anything that doesn’t fit me, it’s truly a blessing because I never have to miss out on anything because it isn’t my size 💫
We live rurally in an area with a largely poor population. There are not enough items donated locally to stock the much utilized thrift stores so they bring in truckloads of stuff from the city. The items are priced locally and often the people pricing don’t recognize a high end brand. It makes for a lot of stunning finds and a great wardrobe
Sometimes the musty smells, or the spray they spray periodically can bother you. Great finds! Thrift prices are higher now, but if people don't buy, eventually they will lower the price. This is a test.
Regarding the prices, so true. I went the other day, had a few things picked out, but because of the price, I ended up buying only one item. And I probably won’t be back for a long time.
Those Tommy Hilfiger overalls and the leopard print top are just *chef's kiss*, I love them!!! 😍 And to answer your question: I think it's the thrifter because you're right, when it comes to thrifting, you have to have an open mind otherwise you'll just get overwhelmed. I go thrifting at my nearest Salvation Army a few times a week and I tend to get lucky but it all depends on my mood. Sometimes I come out with nothing and that's ok!
this feels like an early birthday gift for my birthday tomorrow!!🤗 also thank you haley for showing us how to dress modestly but still cute. it can be a little difficult sometimes!💟thrifty treasures
There’s not always good stuff in larger sizes! I personally can find something no matter what thrift store I go to because I have the eye for it, but if I want to find denim or something special like an oversized cute jacket, it can be difficult. I’m only a size 12 but it can be harder for the girls who aren’t tiny minis!!
Thrifty treasures! 🥰 I truly think that it's an amazing talent to find potetial in every peace! You're so good at it! ❤ I love your videos and your energy is so good and makes me always happy!🥹🩷
Oh my gosh! You found some serious gems. All of those outfits were so cute!! The way I always gasps when I see your final outfits haha you’ve got such a good eye for style
I think it’s the thrifter for sure. I used to buy so much when I didn’t have my style honed in, now that I know my style, the fabrics I like, what cuts fit nicely now I buy less but they are more special pieces. I always find something even if I only walk out of the store with 1 piece for me but 1 thing for my husband 2 things for my kitchen 1-2 things for my kids. They are quality trips now as opposed to back then when I was playing dress up.
I’m new to your channel, and I have already binged so much of your content. You have a great eye for thrifting, and I love the tips you give. Thrifty treasures!❤️
I also like to switch between my favorite store and hopping around different stores in one trip to scan for thrifty treasures. 😉 Great video! Cool finds!
Can you do a mamma Mia themed thrift trip??I went to a very unorganized and not so nice goodwill and ended up finding these adorable $300 Ferragamo shoes! I had no idea of the brand at the time but thought the shoes were adorable and were super nice. When I got home, I decided to Google the shoes as they looked so nice and discovered them to be a designed brand! So you really just get lucky!
Thrifty treasures :) you finding those amazing overalls gives me hope that I’ll find my perfect pair! I love your channel and this was a great video!! 🫶🏻
Yay! I’m so looking forward to your thrifting vlogs! I’m 3 months postpartum and decided to wear something modest but I still wants to look cute and fashionable Could u pls make more thrifting videos/tips about layering/fashion tips maybe a cool mom fit part 2? 😊 Tommy Hilfiger overalls is such a good find! Thrifty treasures Thanks Hayley xx
I live 30 minutes from a big city. There is a lot of choice in thrifting. I have found different area of the city provide different specialties for what you are looking for. Also newer areas have higher prices and less vintage. For me its location and my needs that create a successful thrifting trip.
I think a good trip to the thrift is both, it’s up to the person thrifting to know what to be on the hunt for & some thrift stores have high prices & bad inventory
Definitely having an open mind and a theme makes thrifting more fun and enjoyable. I’ve been getting pretty luck at my thrift stores. My workplace is a thrift store, and I definitely have found some good stuff. I’m really loving the 70s style, it requires me to step out side my comfort zone. However I try to find items that I can style multiple ways and items that I know I’m going to wear. Thrifty Treasure
Thrifty treasures! I love going into thrift stores and finding potential, it’s funny cause my best friend and I will go thrifting together some times and she always says that I have the best luck in finding cute things. Pretty much most of my wardrobe is thrifted!
Thrifty treasures 💕 love the finds 🤩. Can you do a 2000s fashion inspired video ? Like the OG mean girls/Lizzie McGuire and how you would incorporate that to your current style/mom lifestyle? ILY
I used to work at a Thrift store as a donation sorter, the best time for new item searching is 12 to 4pm, by then we out a majority or all the new thrift items for the day.
My daughter had those same Tommy overalls she is 32 now and she had them in middle school. I still remember buying them they were like 59.00 years ago. I would love to find another pair for her. Good video, great finds, always love watching you thrift.
As a seasoned thrifter I think it can depend on the location! For instance I will find a lot for gems in the suburbs vs me living in the middle of Chicago! Since everyone also loves to thrift in this area and it’s also highly populated. Meaning I’m just not getting to it fast enough haha. I usually still always manage to find at least one thing though 😇
Thrifty treasures! Honestly the big thing that puts me off going to certain thrift shops - op shops here in Australia - is if they are overpriced. Unfortunately my local is overpriced so it really puts me off going there. I find stock is always changing and obviously depends on what has been donated there.
Hi Haley! 👋We’ve ran into each other a few times at the red white and blue thrift , I’ve just been trying to do a thrift detox lately since my closet is maxed out. 🤣 anyway I’m pretty sure I’ve been at that same goodwill (1st one) and the American thrift store before, and I’ve never been able to find anything good there. The American thrift clothes were always dirty and smelly so I can’t bring myself to go there again. Question? Have you ever gone to the red white and blue thrift in Hialeah?
You are the thrifty treasure. I have just found you and am enjoying the content. I am currently rearranging somethings in my closet to be able to do more shopping. Loved your cowgirl/western theme trip. I do agree that it can be overwhelming. I will go with a theme next time to see if that helps.
I really believe that it is the thrifter, much more than the thrift store. You have to go in any place with energy and enthusiasm, and look for what you need, but be open to surprises. I got lucky just today at my one and only local Goodwill. I found several basics, all half price, even though it was the next to the last day before they changed the sale color. Oh, and don't start out hungry or dehydrated!😀
I always have leopard print in my closet. It’s definitely a classic print. Love that top with the Levi’s! That Salvation Army store is huge! Too bad it was a thrift fail. Those Tommy overalls are soooo darn cute on you! Great find! 😎
Thrifty treasures!! I totally agree with always going in with an idea in mind cause whenever I do I always find something . Also could you possibly do coastal grandma aesthetic!!
Loved this video. Those overalls are an incredible find. Absolutely stuck around till the end...thrifty treasures. Definitely would love to see you do a fall colours or Halloween vibe thrift shop
I have been a vintage clothing vendor for over a decade and I have to be real, a lot of the time, shein and mall brands aren’t that different. You can find good pieces across the board, even in shein. Their jeans aren’t half bad most of the time. Just thrift them ❤ you just need to spend time familiarizing yourself with what the look and feel of quality is.
It’s the thrifter more than the store but there are lots of other factors: Your overall location and the kinds of donations your stores receive. Your availability to go to stores often and early in the day and on days when shelves are re-stocked. I can mostly only go on weekends when stores are busier and the best stuff has been picked over. Doesn’t mean I don’t still find things, but it’s a different experience. This should be obvious but your size and as you said, having the option of fitting rooms. Majority of my stores don’t have fitting rooms and there’s a lot less options in larger sizes.
Guurrlll, ok how did I know you would still find cute stuff 😂 when I saw those vintage Tommy overalls literally gasped. You are a such a talented thrifter! Thrifty treasures
I think it’s a combo of the right store and the person. My thrift stores are MUCH smaller compared to yours so less to pick from but I can always find something at least
Thank you for encouraging thrift shopping. Fast fashion is polluting the planet. I always mend or up cycle the clothes I donate to help make sure they find a new home and not end up in the landfill. The white peasant skirt for example I woulda embroidered or appliquéd with lace here and there to cover the stains! Voila! A chic new skirt! ps. I hate to hear complaints about Goodwill pricing, they have many sales, discounts and markdowns. You are awesome!
Some awesome finds!!! I'm glad that your feeling better, sucks when you start feeling crappy in the middle of shopping....last time I felt that way.....IDK......I ended up with another mouth to feed 😉😊JOY
Thrifty treasures ❤ I do think it’s the thrifter, but a poorly set up thrift store can make anyone overwhelmed. I wish we had a Red, White, and Blue! Great finds! A work clothes haul would be ideal for me working Monday through Friday as a front desk receptionist. More business casual type. 😊
Ok babes 🥰 so either before or after watching I gotta know what you think… is a good thrift trip all up to the thrift store of the thrifter? 👀

Girl, you are so kind and validate me so much 🥹💕
THIS. So true
The Tommy Hilfiger overalls were definitely a thrifty treasure find, they’re so cute! 🤩
Yesss I know!! 👏🏼

I would save sooo many clothes if this works! I have to try thank you! 🥰🥰
I’ve had good luck with that too! Also, I’ve gotten some very dirty old winter snow coats clean with dawn, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda.
I agree. Works every time, except if the stain is red on white. That one didn’t even come out using those boxes is stuff that usually fix the problem.
I always say this! People swear certain thrift stores are trash... but it's not the store usually.... it's the thrifter! And typically it's something that can't be taught. You’re confidence in me says so much 😭💕💕
It’s definitely the thrifter!
Umm That’s the coolest thing ever?!!!
Oh man that denim jacket with the fringe is so good!! 😍 could not have left that behind 😮
I knew I may regret it 😅
It’s definitely the thrifter, I have found some gems over the years and I am a fashion designer so I can alter or remake anything that doesn’t fit me, it’s truly a blessing because I never have to miss out on anything because it isn’t my size 💫

i love the way she gets everything in the great length and not to short for a grown up women. THAT DESERVES A RESPECT💞

Thrifty Treasures, I love how excited you get about finding gems. ❤
Love your thrifting videos, always look forward to them💕
Love having you here 🤗
You should totally do a video where you go thrifting with a subscriber and teach them your tricks as you go and rate their findings.
Lmao the dizzy collapsing is a real thing!!! I swear it’s the lighting, smells, sounds, etc every time I’m thrifting I get a mid sick dizzy spell
There’s not always good stuff in larger sizes! I love watching your videos! It’s my happy place! Love your thrifty treasures!
Thrifty Treasures. I'm going thrifting hehe. Everything was cute, love love.TFS
Thrifty treasures :) you finding those amazing overalls gives me hope that I’ll find my perfect pair! I love your channel and this was a great video!! 🫶🏻

Tommy Hilfiger overalls is such a good find! Thrifty treasures
Thanks Hayley xx
I like the overhaul the best. And you rocked that Thrifting! Thrifty treasures.
Love your thrifty treasures!!!!! I also love the inspiration pictures you post up next to the item. It’s nice to see the potential of the piece. 😊

The first outfit and the overalls are everythinngggg!!
Your just truly so good at what you do, never considered thrifting a talent but you've changed my mind!
I loved your cardigan with the Thai front. By the way, a very refreshing video, perfect personality!
I think a good trip to the thrift is both, it’s up to the person thrifting to know what to be on the hunt for & some thrift stores have high prices & bad inventory
It amazes me how well vintage faded glory was made! The old stuff is good!
a 90’s or early 2000’s summer theme 😍😍💕
omg i love the see through top with black ribbon, it is SO CUTE!!!
Definitely having an open mind and a theme makes thrifting more fun and enjoyable. I’ve been getting pretty luck at my thrift stores. Amazing! Just shows it’s definitely your talent that gets results. You found some great items. Really enjoy your thrifting videos. 😀
Thrifty treasures! I love going into thrift stores and finding potential, it’s funny cause my best friend and I will go thrifting together some times and she always says that I have the best luck in finding cute things. Pretty much most of my wardrobe is thrifted!
It’s honestly up to the thrifter !! You and her can both see somthing and you know how to make it look cute and she may not see it! ❤
omg I had that exact yellow floral dress when I was a kid! I have a picture in it. That was definitely a kids dress!
The overall!!! 10/10 love it
Thrifty treasures 💕 love the finds 🤩. Can you do a 2000s fashion inspired video ? Like the OG mean girls/Lizzie McGuire and how you would incorporate that to your current style/mom lifestyle? ILY
those jeans were defo my fav thing!! successful thrift trip imo
Love this! You found some gems! By the way, what is the tool you use for cutting the hems of your jeans?
Stopppp that first outfit is AMAZING! Love the overalls as well 😍😍😍😍 thrifty treasures 😊💯
Thrift for beach vacation outfits!! ☀️🌊
Thrifty treasures! ❤️❤️ love love love all your thrift with me videos😊
I'm grateful to you for make this videos you are a very nice honest person ❤✨️ 🎉
You should do. a vid on all natural or natural blend fiber pieces- are they out there? Happy Hunting!
That fringe jacket was so great, the western theme is huge this year, even if you didn’t keep it, I’ll bet it would have sold in a day
I love watching your videos! You find such Thrifty Treasures!!!
Thrifty treasures! Honestly the big thing that puts me off going to certain thrift shops - op shops here in Australia - is if they are overpriced. Question? Have you ever gone to the red white and blue thrift in Hialeah?
Haley! You are truly talented in finding #thrifttreasures . My favourite was those Tommy Hilfiger overalls❤
Thrifty treasures! I’d love to see a cottage core/ countryside thrift trip!
I love those levy jeans with the leopard shirt!!!!! I need!
Such a cute combo!!
Thrifty treasures! You got some really great pieces at these stores! Glad you are feeling better. 😊
Thrifty Treasures 😊, I love watching your videos you always make my day 😊
Loved this video. Those overalls are an incredible find. Absolutely stuck around till the end...thrifty treasures. Definitely would love to see you do a fall colours or Halloween vibe thrift shop
Thrifty Treasures. How about a summer thrift trip for you little girlies. It would be so much fun.
So many cute thrifty treasures in this video!! Love it❤️
You should do a summer/vacay/picnic vibes thrift trip next!! ☀️🌷🍄
Yes love thatttt! 🤩🌱💕
I have been a vintage clothing vendor for over a decade and I have to be real, a lot of the time, shein and mall brands aren’t that different. OMG those Levi’s jeans!! My dream🙌🥲💗
So so good!!
Loved this as always! You’re so fun to watch and I love the items you found ❤
Thrifty treasures 🎊 those overalls where a gem!
Love them so much 🤗
Ladies if you’re a site large to an extra large you know the struggle with thrifting clothes it’s always sizes med or extra small .
Even “bad” thrift stores can have gems. It’s worth checking in once in a while!
So freaking jealous of the TH overalls. I had a pair that were exactly the same back in the day. I would DIE to find them again now.
The overalls are super cute! Thrifty treasures!😊
It’s the thrifter more than the store but there are lots of other factors:
Your overall location and the kinds of donations your stores receive.
The leopard print tank top reminds me of the one Meg Ryan wore in Addicted to Love.
Guurrlll, ok how did I know you would still find cute stuff 😂 when I saw those vintage Tommy overalls literally gasped. You are a such a talented thrifter! Thrifty treasures
It’s was a lucky day 😅 I was literally on the brink of collapse and was like ahhh I have to keep going as if I KNEW I’d find somthing 😂
Thrifty treasures ❤ Dark academia, light academia, boho or dark bohemian looks. Cottage core.
I think it’s a combo of the right store and the person. My thrift stores are MUCH smaller compared to yours so less to pick from but I can always find something at least
I love the peplum pink top! So cute.
The overalls are insane! And so are the cheetah shirt with the Levi jeans 😍 those are some insane scores
It also helps to be thinner! More clothes fit you ! And you have talent of course
It’s definitely both! And luck! Loved this video🩷 I want to find myself a cute pair of overalls too!!
Thrifty treasures! How about a summer haul, but with color palettes of the other seasons?
Thank you for encouraging thrift shopping. Fast fashion is polluting the planet. I always mend or up cycle the clothes I donate to help make sure they find a new home and not end up in the landfill. The white peasant skirt for example I woulda embroidered or appliquéd with lace here and there to cover the stains! Voila! A chic new skirt!
ps. I hate to hear complaints about Goodwill pricing, they have many sales, discounts and markdowns. You are awesome!
I would love to see a mermaid summer theme!! (Like beachy summery vibes)🌴🌊
It’s also the size you wear. Plus size items are worn and have shrunk in the laundry!
