The issue is there are no strict labour laws thats why these companies treat employees like this. In Australia if any company is terminating any employees then they cant hire anyone for the same role for next 1 year if they do so then employee can file a complaint for unfair dismissal and compensation. These companies give so much gyan on ethics do you know many times they bill 1 persons on multiple projects. Do all fake things to get more business.
I think the Indian Govt should enter in these matters, because most of the companies doing the same eg - TCS, in India we should have strick rules interms of employment

If you read the notice, you will that the person was in bench for 3 months. Usual bdnch period is 30 calender days (not business days). So he got enough time. + He didn't attend some in-person query it seems. Yeah, termination is inevitable in this case

Service industry is worst in India. If you don’t get job in good company then do not spend more than 2-3 years in service industry. I made mistake of staying in cognizand for 11 years. No good salary hike And no good career related guidance. My friends who joined product or finance company have triple salary and more technical knowledge.

Without getting emotional negotiate for atleast 6 month salary, they will agree on 6 months full salary counting notice period full payment as well as compensation amount. I sowsehow got full 5 months compensation and resigned peacefully.

This is a mistake of management. Why company taking too much of people. For getting project from client these company do lot of nonsense. They want senior people after some time they will fire senior.
There is nothing to appreciate, during this bench time, many projects will call you.. but no interview will get scheduled..so it is evident that they were planning to terminate the employee…..also other companies like IBM tolerates a benched employee for 6-8 months…so CTS is not doing any gods work here…stop normalising this misconduct by mgmt.

I was forced to resign after 2 months of ADP. My total work experience at cognizant is 5 years. YEA rating was also good. Pool is just like hell in Cognizant, internal hiring is just 20% .. they will hire from outside but not pool Associate. No proper POC for pool Associate. If someone is moving to pool than there is 80% chance that he have to put his paper. And also lot of politics are there, if you have contact with other project people than only you will get project.

@@meramvlogs4260 bro currently the situation related to bench is extremely poor. I have good connections with my current manager and he told me confidential things at the mangerial levels.
As per my manager, they have the option to put you in a different project instead of moving you to bench if they want. I would suggest you to talk to your home manager and avoid this situation of bench as it would lead to lay off from the organisation.
this is my suggestion but coming to your question, I'd say that yes you would get 3months of salary if you are being laid off from the company
I did this in Accenture ( one of the worst firm i worked )in 2017 . Even after getting 3 'Accenture excellence award' and a sport award in consecutive quarters they given below average ratings . I raised complaints against my reviewers and finaly they asked me to resign. I negotiated and informed them will be going with the court as i was having the mail communications about my performance. Finely they agree to give notice period salary + wave of of notice .

I must say that Cognizant is one of the best company and as far as firing is concerned so it happens in every company. I still remember TCS , the so called government company fired its 25000 Indian employees in 2015 and HCL and Infosys also did the same so firing and hiring is based on skill set and business requirements.

And this is the reason people don't want to work in India. And they are moving to Canada Europe gulf dubai etc. Because there is a strict law on this. You'll feel safe there. In respect of your jobs and your rights! No one can terminate you. Until or unless there will not be any strong evidence that you did something very wrong which is not acceptable by company or government policies or you broke any company policies. Till now you're safe.No one can touch you. If a company wants to terminate you then they have to give reason to the government why they are terminating you....and if it lies under government criteria then it's ok otherwise they cannot terminate you!

There are people who are adamant of not taking projects, do not want to return to office, performance issue to company kya achar dalengi employees ka. My situation is cognizant hr has said that you have to resign or else i have to terminate so she offered me that you will get 3months salary plus relieving letter but i got only relieving letter not 3months salary how much it takes time
45 to 60 days.
For me also same thing happened yesterday in cognizant hr told. It will get the salary and notice pried also or not?

Only you have to negotiate with hr.
H bhai..when u are recruited then no company can forcefully terminate you ..they have no such obligation...u can consult lawer on this...

you need to visit office in person........ and get email ID's of all higher ups via your colleague and write up an email mentioning the issue......
