    Sir, I was laid off by the company in April. I had been working there for five years as a senior .NET developer and was the only one working with this technology, while my colleagues were working with PHP. I worked like crazy on 4-5 big projects all by myself. After five years, the company let me go, saying they no longer needed .NET. Currently, I am very frustrated and jobless. I am thinking of starting a business.😢

      @@AbhishekKumar-ml7xl Yes, I can, but right now I don't want to depend on companies. They hire us and then let us go when their needs change. I'm planning to start my own business, automate it with technology, and then consider joining a job again. This way, I won't be reliant on these fickle companies.

    I know of two other trends:
    1) They tell the position/designation is now scrapped. Hence, naturally there is no need for the resource
    2) They promote your junior to higher designation who has much lesser experience and even considerable amount of service gaps, to hurt your sentiment. So that eventually you leave. Your junior off course draws less salary then you, so its helpful in cost cutting.

    Now I got it, they put me to work on CSS, but I was mainly Java backend developer. Beside that they asked me learn ROR and implement it within a week to the in-house project. So I couldn't take the pressure and resigned, they released me next day. They didn't have any project in hand to assign to me.

    i was fired by just after training 6 month and in training they told learn by ur self. And today after 7 month Im Group A officer to the govt of India. The best revenge is self development.

    Ask to fill in unnecessary trackers and increase processes...
    This is the new frustration technique to encourage employees to resign 😕

    My experience: I was not invited to many of the meetings, given less priority tasks. I was given manual testing tasks when I was a developer. I was asked to train an automation tester on development aspects. All this happened because my manager had to bring in his GF on the team. It was a planned roll off. I got the hint and had 2 offers in hand. I did not resign rather chose to be terminated with a severance package. I joined my new job the very next day.

    The same things happened with me, first my company remove me from ongoing project, then they have started giving me nonsense assignment and finally they have stopped my salary 😅 and then i literally cry to release my payment so that my EMI not bounce. Finally Company release my salary along with me as well. Very bad experience, one thing is clear never ever will be loyal to any company. Keep learning keep switching go for money not for fake office office 😂😂
    I remember 2-3 years back when daily im getting 2-3 interview schedule per day. But now 2-week gone 0 interview 0 call , even i can join immediately 😂😂 ..
    Demand and supply mismatched 😅

    If they do silent layoff you should also plan silent job switching, and take break for 6 months. Don’t run behind working continuously think of passive income

    No offence I have rocked all 4 layers apart from machine learning during actual hiring was happening but now we don't have any calls irrespective of those skills. Developer role now a days is upto 6 years only beyond that companies are not preferring and ageism also exist for developers. No one is hiring above 35 years, some small medium companies call but they take our knowledge and dont come back. Keep an eye on section 174 in USA which reduced R&D, no one talks about that. Its under US congress approval for revoking that section, if they don't no dev jobs. Focus of support or any tooling support jobs or manager jobs

    Offering an inappropriate job location: knowing that I am settled in Delhi, they still offer me a position in Chennai or any another location. They know I will reject the offer, giving them an opportunity to say goodbye.

    Sir, could you please make a video on .Net Aspire. What is it actually? What problem does it actually solve? Is it worth learning currently or is it just another hype people gave like xamarin, silver light in the past?

      Aspire is collection of components to create distributed applications. I do not think it will be used extensively as those components i can add to my current projects and use in a more customized way.

    I also.beem.laid off by NMG technologies pvt ltd recently saying that my performance is not up to the mark.actually i was working on client project and was going smoothly but due to sales team negligence and mis communication with client ,that project is gone and I have been forced to work on internal project and after 2-3 months they told my performance is not good and giving pip mail to me..I was depressed and under.mental trauma

    People pay 30 percent tax but in case if they are fired,is there any mechanism Government will help or stop company for sudden firing.

      In US, there is some monthly compensation given by Govt if a citizen does not have job. But in India Govt will just collect tax from us when we are earning and when we are not earning they wont give a futi kodi !

    Sir, i appreciate your thought process and knowledge which you have shared , what i believe is that Practical should be more emphasized because when we do practical's we turn up with a lot of issues , errors , things will not work out , that's how i will go ahead with fixing the issue , during that process i learn a lot , so when we go for interview, the intermediate question or scenario based question can be well answered if you have did complete practical's. I do understand you mentioned the 20%, 80% formula when there is time constraint , but still i think we need to do enough practical's so that we can confidently attend the interview process.
    Coming to the videos, yes we have to watch the recorded videos for understanding the concepts very well , but we need to repeat watching it again and again, make our own notes and do strong practical's in that way we are going to remember that concept for longer time which is required when we are giving interviews. At the end what you mentioned is right, we should keep watching the interview question & answer videos ,learn to give crisp and clear cut answers, that's what the interviewer will expect from us .

    companies are not laying you off because of your skills but because they don't have any projects.
    so my question is if they don't layoff, will you stay in the sinking ship?
    layoffs are good because all the people who came to CS just because of the pay will move away and only those who are genuinely interested in cs will stay.

    Always be prepared to face interviews. If you feel that your job is at stake. Plz give interviews if you have not given it for very long time. Not only knowledge it is more of convincing skills and getting the offer letter+ there are lot of rounds and cant rely only in n one company

    I’m working in very good big banking company. They are giving too much of mental pressure. Now they are tell like to everyone doing work is not enough. What you did extra more than work that also not one is enough. 4 5 extra work should be done lot lot. So people’s are automatically thing to go out.

    I am a C#, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform Developer and I have experience this silent layoff. I still have not recovered from this. My last position was a Senior Application Developer. Lost my team of 6 people. They just out source our position.

    The same thing happens with me, working for wipro 6 years 24*7 shift time but at the end HR asks to resign otherwise after one week they will be removed from the organization.
    Initially ask to search for a new project, on which technology I was working I am not getting a project on that tech, if you learn new tools they need 2 years experience if you want to get a job in new domain/tech, at a time if you learn new tech you don't have experience in new domain/tech.

    I got laid off from Microsoft 10 days back. No reason whatsoever, as per company, they want to position themselves better in the market.
    I am like good riddance :D
    I was anyway stuck there just on the name of the brand name and getting stagnant.
    I am giving myself time and will go to better place.

    if you don't have job - you have ONLY one problem (to find job).BUT if you have job - you have 1001 problems- workpolitics /promotion/latecoming/etc.
    When you are in Layoff period,don't panic. It is the time now for your wellbeing, go walking /exercise ,meet school friends, college friends. enjoy no need to ask for leave /1 hr permission. But spend 1 /2 hours some certifications, because this is a recession kind of period . Again the market WILL open and they need you.i got job after 6 months now and know the pain

    Another tactic they use is sir project didn’t go as planned we put you on two week DP. And end of two weeks you will never meet DP because by design you will not. So easy exit no need to pay severance etc.

    Can you please make a video about maths prerequisites for learning SQL? I am having difficulty understanding Functional dependency, Normalization and other concepts related to DBMS because it inlcludes algebra and Union, intersection etc. It may be very basic for others but not for me.     I am not from IT. I left it 22 years ago. But when I keep track of financial markets (India, US and EU). The news is not very positive on job front for anybody including non-IT. Since there are more people working in IT sector we just happen to see more impact there but that does not mean there is no impact elsewhere.
    While I do not wish this on anyone including myself, the writing on the wall is clear. More financial problems are anticipated, more job loss are expected across the globe and across the sector. Since tech and IT involves more people it will appear as if that is the only sector that is impacted while the reality is that the more impact is seen there but the impact is everywhere.

      Yes, that is the main problem. If you are in a job with 90 days notice period, you wont get a single call if you truthfully state this in your Linked-in or Naukri profile

    In my company I am seeing silent promotions also, where people update their promotions in linkedin but there is no notification as it seems like they do not want it to reach to their connections

    I have noticed some interesting thing, though .Net ecosystem is getting better than java ecosystem but still when I browse people on linkedin from most of the MNC's, you can do that by navigating to people tab and see skills on which they are employed in companies profile, I dont find many people are working on .Net. As part of tech java, python, javascript people takes the lead. Dotnet people count is not even in top 20 . Some MNC's has 1000's of java and python people but dotnet people are in only 100's. Why dotnet ecosystem still lacks behind with such huge margin? Are they had been laid off or the count of dotnet profiles were low even from starting itself?

      Being .net developer java is evergreen that is fact now if u see every product based had only asking java including Microsoft who developed .net

      @@satyashanmukhi9233 evergreen? still lot of companies work on C, C++ than java.. evergreen because people who are using it from sometime will be reluctant especially senior folks to shift from one stack to another. within .net ecosystem, people who worked either in sharepoint and dynamics for sometime will not be shifting to writing code in .net for simple websites rather than they prefer to use sharepoint or dynamics even though those are not useful any kind of usecases like building simple websites. Be it syntax or anything .net has evolved way better than java. And yeah most of the projects which Indian companies get are support based projects where the code is already written in java. so they ask Java.

    Hi Sir, I successfully passed most of the technical interviews, but I wasn't selected after the managerial round. I'm not sure where I might be lacking.

      Only from mock interviews we can know whats going on wrong. Managers more look at process like Agile , Team management etc.

    In every mnc, if you are on the bench for more than two months then you should get a call to put down resignation.

    I got silent laid off in April still haven’t any job, i have attended many interviews but unfortunately didn’t get job. Some interviews were very good but I don’t where was wrong

    I got almost 12% hike. I have 15+ yoe But the role currently they gave is similar to dev. Which islower to what i was having in last project. Is this a sign that they want me to resign?

      WPF and Winforms market is shrinking , from my thought process you should migrate to Web. Do not leave your job but gradually plan your training and migration.

    We are receiving calls from potential employers, but the salary increase offered is only 10-15%. I have been selected by more than 2-3 companies, but it has been 3-4 weeks and I still haven't received any offers.
