Gigantesque morceau que seul eux pouvais faire 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸👍👍👍👍👍
Still the fav. song of my mother (age: 66) ... She plays this song from her record as loud as possible and "screams" along" XD ... LUV HER! ♥
Ian Paice carrying thunder in his drum rolls, Ritchie Blackmore having lightning in his guitar strokes, Roger Glover having a thousand horses galloping across the horizon in his bass line, Jon Lord having all four elements at the tips of his fingers on that Hammond B3 organ and Ian Gillan spitting out the fury of a thousand witches when he screams. That's Deep Purple for you to witness and behold. Greetings and well-wishes from Belgium.
I never tire of this song, a timeless classic so good guys
I saw Deep Purple live around 6 times in the early 1970's - great band and very exciting to see them perform on stage - one of my favourite bands of all time.
one of the best solos of all time, Ritchie Blackmore
In the history of music there are many great song, but there are not many immortal ones. This song is one of those immortals.
Just so you know, Ian Gillan could hit all those noted during live performances. Phenomenal voice. But it seems you already know that!
He rocked out on Jesus Christ Super Star
He can't anymore
Are you guys going through my record collection?🤣🤣
Ritchie's best guitar tone 👆
When a blind man cries should be next.
Thank you
This is 50 years old and still sounds this good. These people putting this junk out today they call "music" should be ashamed of themselves.
Bro on Left "Ritchie Blackmore is God" slight pause from Bro on Right, "I know" LMAO
The live version is just as good.
Masters of Rock
When I was young seventies, it was quite normal for me to hear great music. So many great bands! It was the standard......
You have chosen wisely, my sons... You may continue on your journey.....................just wait for the ricochet...
Imo the greatest recorded guitar solo of all time, second being stargazer also Ritchie Blackmore!
Completely agree ....I think both solos are my number one
Yes Ritchie was the Shit Rainbow Raising was his band seen them an Deep purple god I loved growing up when I did 🌹💞💋💕☮️☮️♾️😍💫💥😎👍
Try "Hard Lovin' Man" off the same album. It will practically blast you out of your chairs.
THIS SOLO WAS THE BEGINNING OF ALL SHREDDING
Deep Purple,Tull,Led Zep! you guys are on fire! about time to try on some Black Sabbath!
Some Sabbath is a must for the channel
Uriah Heep, no?
@@teardrop-in-a-fishbowl U-Heep is good too ;)
War Pigs live
Oh yes! I have been waiting for Sabbath forever!!! Sabbath Bloody Sabbath best album AND best song
I was lucky, my older brother was a purple fan, when he was in work, i stayed home from school to listen to this fantastic album, er i was only eleven yrs old, and it was heaven!
Thanks for the shout out to Ian Paice! One of the best drummers of all time, DP wouldn’t be DP without him
Try the live version of this and other purple classics on the 1973 'Made in Japan' album.👍
Everything is perfect. I especially love the drum patterns from the legendary Ian Paice. Incredible - a masterpiece.
Ritchie Blackmore...genius !
The live video is mind blowing.
The real fucking deal..
Check out their track called "April" not a common choice but a musical adventure "Child In Time" is my favorite Purple track oh and I have seen Deep Purple live three times lucky me.
6:35 - man, I was feeling ya. That was an incredible journey your soul went on, and your body had to release some of that pent up emotion or it would burst. I so completely get it.
Yes, it is one of the best songs ever made. I feel that way about many Deep Purple's songs. LOL
Deep Purple has a lot to react., When a blind man cries, Anthem, Knocking on your back door , SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, black night , Sometimes I feel like screaming, HUSH, strange kinf of woman, etc.
My all time favourite Deep Purple song - I was still at school when Deep Purple in Rock album was released and my friends and I all had to have a copy of it. Played it to death - other favs on this album are Bloodsucker (great screams from Ian Gillan!) and Flight of the Rat (brilliant drum solo from Ian Paice at the end) to name but two.
Gillan and dio unrivalled live
My favourite guitar solo of all time!
Ian Paice's drum 🥁 sounds like the winding road. Ian Gillan's voice 🎶 sounds melodious. Blackmore's guitar 🎸 sounds to speak itself. So does Jon lord 's organ🎹 and Roger Glover's bass. All sound great!
The best of the best!!!!; amazing song....🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🥁🥁🥁🎹🎹🎹🎤🎚
Now you boy's getting back to the founders of Heavy Rock & Roll. Blue Cheer led the Way, 1966. "Summer Times Blues. Do check out Deep Purple's "Book of Taliesin". Shield, or River Deep Mountain High.
Although I love the live versions, there is something pristine about the studio version of this track. I think it's the tone Ritchie gets - he had not switched to his Strat yet, and his guitar just oozes
I agree, and the composition was better on In Rock. Ritchies guitar solo perfect. Most live versions he meanders somewhat. There’s that lovely vocal part just after “you’d better close your eyes” that Gillan does, that he never does on the live versions. The cacophony at the end is not matched on the live versions. Then the studio version is tighter. However, the live versions have their own merits, just not as good as the studio.
Guys - two suggestions - Black Sabbath live in Paris - 1970 - War Pigs - checkout Bill Ward on drums!!! Rolling Stones - album - Sticky Fingers - song = Sway so melodic with Mick Taylor on guitar and backing piano!!
This singer is not from this planet!!! Have fun guys!! It will take us in a awesome ride!🔥
Well Played
The solo was used in the movie Twister
Allman Brothers Band - Whipping Post (9/23/70 live at Fillmore East) ☮🖤🤘
I think Mr Gillan had no barrier's to his range of notes that's something I can't imagine , Whitney Houston Mariah Carey are two that had no block on there range Gillan was truly blessed and of course Mr Robert plant
If you continue to listen to Deep Purple, then try Speed King which shows Ian Gillian's vocal range again or Black Night. Also, you must do Smoke On The Water as it is their anthem song, so is the most recognised.
Moving on, you should then try Rainbow which the guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore started up after leaving Deep Purple. The early days they had a vocalist called Ronnie James Dio. Try out Kill The King, Long Live Rock and Roll or Man on the Silver Mountain.
Not forgetting Stargazer and the sequel Light in the Black off the Rising album
Totally agree with your comment about NOT comparing this studio version with the live versions, because both are 'out of this world'! I equally like both this version and the live versions, of which my favourate is 'made in Japan' album version. Also, both versions have Richie Blackmore, one of my top five guitarists!
Uriah Heep song "Salisbury". Another epic one!
Got this song from another band added words rearranged it. The group was Its a Beautiful Day there song was called Bombay Calling. Listen to u-tube Deep Purple vs Its A BEAUTIFUL Day
Guys you HAVE to listen to Flight of the Rat now from this great studio album!
Hi from Australia guy's, Deep Purple have always been one of my favourites, but in my opinion you should listen to Sweet Child form the "Made in Japan" album and "Strange Kind of Woman" from the same album, this latter one is probably the best male vocal performance that I am aware of.
You need to watch the live version
A great classic Rock 😎👍
That's sooo good!! What a voice.❤🤘
Seen Deep Purple 💜 an Ritchie Blackmore was the the Shit an started Rainbow Raising omg seen him too ♾️😍💫💥😎💜👍🌹💋
The singer's screaming is all the mothers and fathers and neighbors and family members screaming during war. All wars.
It is my own interpretation. I do not speak for anyone else.
Good one!
Deep Purple - Knocking at your backdoor ... very good too 😎👍🎶
Not a great Purple fan, but played this album to death, at the time! What a voice!
The live 1970 TV version is good as well
Hey guys, still doing a great job, but still not listening to the live versions of Purple's most famous album Machine Head. Check out Made in Japan ASAP your lives will forever change... Believe me I know their music now for almost 50 years - greatest rockband ever...
Well, all deep purple live are much better than studio albums,it just was a live-band and make better versions on stage. Try it,you'll like it !
Sometimes a song like this Child In Time by Deep Purple in the middle it could almost sound like a diesel engine running full blast down the interstate
another awesome Deep Purple song is Highway Star from Machine Head
Time for some Rainbow! Temple of the King, Catch the Rainbow, Stargazer, Kill the King, Gates of Babylon, Lady of the Lake, Rainbow Eyes. So many more.. But you'll love it.
Great reaction yet again guys, 100% need to listen to Stargazer by rainbow, incredible vocal performance on that song!!
Now you have to check out the the one from made in Japan..best version hands down..side note Ritchie played this solo on a Gibson e335 and on the made in Japan version he plays it with a fender Stratocaster.
If you like Blackmoore, you must listen Rainbow - Stargazer.
Great call. Has it all.
OHHHHHH NO, YOU GUYS ARE GONNA FREAK ON THIS MASTERPIECE!!!LOL :) ENJOYYYYY IT!
послушайте Uriah Heep - July Morning
Yes excellent band. If you want to hear some pre-Queen opera rock then try Uriah Heep "Bird of Prey." Always wondered if Freddie Mercury was influenced by this band.
@@grigoriorifiel Yass!
Omg Yes a must they were very good also seen then ALSO
it may be the best song ever
THIS STUDIO ORIGINAL IS 10 MINS. AND THE ONE OFF OF ( MADE IN JAPAN ) IS 20 :)
Brother on the left, you hit that "ooohooo" perfectly at 8:27!!! Do you sing? Brother on the right, you really let the song take you by closing your eyes, how was the journey... BTW, you remind me a lot of a young Christopher Walken...
Guys, there’s fabulous live video of this at the BBC. There was no auto tune back in the day. You have to watch gorgeous Ian Gillan sing. He married a beautiful girl from Georgia - the one you know. And there’s a YT vid of their traditional wedding in Tbilisi.
Look at our other reactions, we reacted to the LIVE version and we put that wedding scene in one of our DP reactions. Thank you!
@@broaction5343 I did and can’t find it. That’s okay. I’m glad you saw it. I just wanted to see your reaction to it, though!
La vox de Gillan tout juste énorme
Hi guys! You seem to appreciate this kind of "honest" music... If so, id really like to see your reaction to "Iron Butterfly - In A Gadda Da Vida (long version.....of course). Rock on!! Love and peace from Vienna, Austria
Nice! 👏🏻👏🏻
One of my first records, I got it about 1973, I was 16. Still have it on CD
I am 60, I am that generation, and we always considered "Lazy" from Made in Japan being the best thing that Deep Purple made. We never listened to studio version of this song because this live version is better.
seen that in '75, forum montréal
gillian is amazing in this song...but coverdale on mistreated is fantastic too...maybe the next deep purple reaction?
First listened to this album in 1976 on an old record player and was totally blown away. Try Speed King from this album, it's superb!
The entire Made in Japan LIVE album is a delight! Together with Led Zeppelin, the founders of Hard Rock.
Deep Purple is one of the few bands who is just as good live, if not better, than the studio versions of their songs. I grew up listening to them in the 70's and they were the only band I would compare with Zeppelin. I got to see then live one time, wish it were more. They were awesome!
Top reactions!
It's the primal scream of MY generation!
YJM did a great cover of this song .
Soldier of fortune is a good one..........
You must listen to the Live in Stockholm 1970 version. Its 17 minutes of pure musicianship!
Wait for the ricochet!
Excelente video muchachos..los sigo desde chile junto con mis bbs..porfa vean algo del made in japan, deep purple .blackmore es mi idolo desde niño.lo mas grande del mundo.
listen to a third version. for me, the best take of this song is on their album "made in japan".
The Noise Abatement Society Tapes its olo a nice song
Next song: Camel - Lady Fantasy
The bro’ on the left can really sing. 🤘
Try Uriah Heep "Magicians Birthday"
the live performances of this song are all from 1972. unfortunately the only one recorded on video is a black and white version from copenhagen ( much better than the live version from 1970) even with the lower quality video, it's still worth watching.
If you listen to John squures throughout stones Roses " second coming " he's heavily heavily influenced by Blackmore. Great underrated album
You MUST hear the live version from "Made in Japan". It's on YT. The difference between DP studio albums and live ones is like the difference of watching a movie on TV vs. an IMAX theater.
🤯🤯🤯😱😖🥰 cool bro..
Please please please try when a blind man cries. The solo guitar is pure madness.
Strange Kind of Woman (Live in Japan, 1972) ua-cam.com/video/_NNRAXWjGBc/v-deo.html - Ian's vocals are "a force of nature". Great reaction!!!
Try Fireball, Woman from Tokyo too
Great reaction and comments. I got the Machine Head album in 1970 or 1971 and our dorm played it almost the whole semester. Every song was, and is, classics and I recommend you play it in sequence. I was so lucky to have been an early disciple of what was to be called "The Unholy Trinity" (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and of course Deep Purple).
You mean the four horsemen including Uriah Heep
