Ritchie is so freaking cool', I went to two shows on the Perfect Strangers reunion tour in 84' and both were unbelievable. I was lucky enough that the two shows had different set lists so I got a wide variety of songs, but the one thing that didn't change was how crazy Blackmore would get, he played like a wizard and would battle Jon Lord for who could out-do each other, Ritchie really was the creative force in the band with limitless talent.

Richie Blackmore formed the band Rainbow w/ Ronnie James Dio on vocals after leaving Deep Purple, but it was good that he put Rainbow on hold to come back to do this album. Great Album. You might want to check out Rainbow songs as well. Stargazer is a must.

Now you guys are starting to do it right. All these other UA-cam 'Reaction' video creators who really only care about the amount of 'Likes' they get, wouldn't (and haven't played a song like this), do it like this. My recommendations from the 'Perfect Strangers' are 'Knocking At Your Back Door', 'Gypsy's Kiss', and 'Wasted Sunsets'. Two more songs I'll recommend from the album 'House Of Blue Light' (1987) are, 'Mad Dog', and 'Spanish Archer'. Keep up the great work guys.

This whole "Perfect Strangers" album is very decent or better. Thanks for doing this one. The biggest killer track is "Knocking At Your Back Door", featuring one of the greatest rock song intros I've ever heard, and then great right on through. Check it out when you can, gents- even if it's just on your own. You'll love it. It was a rock radio hit back in '84.

I second the nomination of Child in Time. Please do the live version 1970. It was shot in a BBC studio and the audience was instructed not to make noise under penalty of death, cause TV was different then, but the performance will make you proud to be a human (Brit?)

You need to re-learn your Deep Purple knowledge because that is not true. Gillan was fired by the band and then allowed back, and then Blackmore QUIT the band in the early 1990s. You're completely wrong in your comment.

@@MissmyLab Didn't say they didn't get along. Simply corrected your false statement about what happened. Blackmore did multiple albums with them after this, and Gillan was fired. FACTS. Gillan was rehired later, and then in the early 90s Blackmore quit. FACTS.
You're assuming something from what you heard or you misheard it. Your original comment is untrue. You're clearly a Blackmore hater, so you filtered Gillan's "we didn't like each other" into a made-up story.
You're just not right about this album as an almost-last chance for Blackmore (false) or Gillan giving Blackmore chances (Gillan got fired, not the other way around).
