For those of us freaked out by chicken toe nails, scald them for a few minutes then blanch in cold water. Chop the nails off at the first knuckle after that, and you’ve sanitized the feet for cooking or freezing. They are excellent in stock, soup, and more!
For veggies with tough skin like squash, microwave the quarters/big chunks in short bursts until it's soft enough to peel easily - you're not cooking it, just softening it enough to peel (although kabocha squash peel is edible). This is also great for turnips and rutabagas which can have super tough skins (score or pierce the turnips/rutabagas before microwaving).
Gurl, gurl! Gotta have it! That squash i’m unfamiliar with as well as that green paste. But I can learn. And the addition of the lime would seem to boost the cilantro flavor too decreasing the soapy taste. Ppl should use mire cilantro as it helps remove heavy metals from the body! Great video. Yum😂❤
Do I have to give the chicken feet a foot rub first to tenderize them??? LOL 😂 Your soup looks delicious! Thanks for sharing! Blessings and bon appétit! 😋

I So Enjoyed This Video. Not Only Does the Soup Looks Delicious but It was Soothing to Watch. I will Definitely Make This Yummy Soup. Thank You for Sharing and God Bless You! ❤
I save all bones (any uneaten meat and skin) from my meals, primarily chicken in the freezer. Put the bones in the oven along with onion, garlic, and carrot just to get a char. I use this to make a bone broth in the instant pot. So good. I dont know where I would find chicken feet in my area, but it looks like a good broth.
The way you make your chicken soup is similar to the way I make mine, the only difference is the chicken feet and the squash. I'm lazy and add frozen veggies and cook after I cook the chicken and veg in the instant pot. I haven't tried the chicken feet but I have been seeing it a the store so I'll be trying it soon. I'll also be trying it with squash too.
Hey Camirra 🤗 I loooove Chicken Soup whether I’m feeling bad or not. I feel if you start eating this early on it prevents the onset of colds. Gotta get that broth right.
And you have ready made tooth picks. 😁😁 If people want to add to their immunity, thanks to a career as a boxer, MMA , bouncer, actor / stunt performer, my nose was in rough shape, scared, hole in my septum from a botched surgery, constantly getting flu, colds, and sinus infections. Over a decade ago I started taking Oregano oil drops about this time of year, and through winter. I have not had a single cold, flu, or sinus infection since. 👍👍😊😊
Cousin girl I had to come check on what you got going and you had the foots out. Not the paws cousin, not the paws. They’re not ready for that type country 🤣
Far too much mix up for chicken soup season wise for me... lemon/lime, salt, hot pepper, (maybe black pepper), celery, onions, tyme, chicken, carrots. Itake all that fat off my chicken before that goes into my pot. To each their own though. Just too much unecessary seasonings for me.

Ohhhh 🤯
Chicken feet???? Gonna try this for fall/winter.
My Dad used like them.
Thank you Ms. Camirra!
My mom used to put oatmeal to thicken the soup.
My Aunt use to fry them & eat them. Also fish heads with the eyes! That always got to me!
God bless you, Camirra! That chicken soup looks so good! Great idea about the chicken feet and the kabocha squash!

If you have any Asian markets or Mexican markets in your area, they always have packs of them.

its nothing to do with poverty. its actually very nutritious.
Chicken feet is expensive almost the price of chicken breast in my store. The drumsticks are cheaper than the feet.

Thank you 😋

i got to make them ready for it! 😂😉
Not chicken feet😮
Ewww 😂 I make homemade chicken soup all the time, but never with the feet… But do you girl I hear ya I still like watching your videos
Wonderful source of collagen for cheap. We think you can get more collagen out of the feed by cutting off the nail hope that’s true.
that only true if you are boiling on the stove. in the instant pot the force is so strong it doesnt matter.
i swear you wont taste it. the collagen is much needed when sick or just to stay healthy.
@@CamirrasKitchen thx. Good to know in case I ever get an Instant pot.
I don’t know what’s wrong with the sound from your video. It’s going real fast.
i think you are playing the video on 2x speed
