And definitely, any roasts and stews too! Tip: Save all of your veggie and herb scraps and cuttings. If they are really small, put them into a clean tea bag (cloth or paper) or a metal tea ball for easy clean-up and not needing to scoop them out! ❤️

From what my 2 different grandma’s taught me? One was a drop dumpling, soft, pillowy, soak up the broth situation. The other was a roll them out a little, but don’t spend too much time, and make a thick noodle-ish dumpling. Both are delicious, both are comforting. Both take me back to fall and winter in each of their kitchens where the flavors still live that can’t QUITE be recreated? But the memories are cemented. The technology may have been upgraded, but the heart is in each of their recipe boxes that I have. May your biscuits rise and the blessing soar for all of you!🥘

My grandma made homemade rolled out dumplings for her chicken and dumplins. She'd get a big stew hen and simmer that girl all day for the stock. The whole house would smell so good. And her chicken and dumlpins (or noodles) were always served over a mound of the fluffiest homemade, buttery mashed potatoes. 🥰 Absolutely delicious and so comforting. We all took a big carb-coma nap afterwards. 😂

You’re lovely. I love that you teach viewers the importance of cleaning your sink after dealing with raw meat. It’s the only time and place I use bleach - because I’ve had food poisoning before and let me tell you, that was a lesson I’ll never forget.

Im so glad to see that you show everyone that you wash your sink after washing poultry. Speaking as someone who has suffered salmonella poisoning, it is very important to clean and disinfect any surface that has had poultry or any meat on it. It's also a good idea to avoid cross contamination by not using the same cutting boards for meats and fruit &veg. I am so afraid of these germs that I practically use a blow torch to disinfect my sink!😂

Hi girl, you look amazing. Love your hair & makeup! This recipe looks great. I don't remember eating a lot of chicken & dumplings growing up, but I remember my neighbor from Antigua making a curried chicken & dumplings and gworl that was at least 30 years ago & I still remember it vividly. So I will definitely 😁 be trying your recipe and adding some curry spice to it 😊. Thanks so much for sharing. One of my most favorite meals but very few make it right. My grandma made the best chicken & dumplings & hers didn't have alot of chicken either. She grew up during the depression, so many of her meals had very little meat because either they didn't have any or had to make it stretch to feed the entire family. Chicken and dumplings was cheap to make, didn't require alot of chicken & was hearty. In my opinion, that's what makes chicken & dumplings so good. It's the taking the time to cook the whole chicken & making your own dumplings that make it so good. It's one meal I don't take shortcuts on but after seeing how you cooked that whole chicken in the pressure cooker so quick, I'm definitely trying it. Thank You for showing how it's done. 💜
