Still get the most compliments from my Omega DeVille GMT with the Armadillo bracelet. I've been wearing for nearly 15 years.
Automatic or quarts?
The Chronoscope with the chocolate brown dial?
@@yoyex2009In this context, who cares?
I don't get compliments for my watches. No-one really cares, and I don't care about other people's reactions either, I wear what I choose to wear.
100% agree. Nobody cares but I love all my watches.
yeah, right…
I have had multiple compliments from other watch lovers. Usually sparks some great chats.
@@madmiles442 yes absolutely agree 💯
Wow.
The Invicta manifesto is short this year.
TheTudor Black Bay GMT definitely gets the most compliments when I wear it.
That’s my dream watch, and I’m moving closer to owning one. They now have a thinner one for 2024.
Is yours with the black face or white face?
Glad you mentioned IWC. It's a brand that doesn't get nearly enough love. Beautiful watches.
I like IWC even tho I have multiple Rolex’s I’m going for an IWC now
I get more compliments on my Tag Heuer Skipper than any other watch I own. It’s such an eye catching colour combo.
Glad to see the Zulu time featuring, thoroughly deserved
Reverso and Speedmaster are the only two watches that I've received compliments on while wearing.
Always love seeing a reverso in the wild
correct, no ones looking at a Tissot
I have a collection of watches including Omega, Tudor, Sinn, Breitling etc. In over 50 years I have only ever been complimented once on the watch I was wearing and that was my Omega Speedmaster. I have four Omega watches three of which are Seamasters.
I completely understand where you are coming from on this very situation. I have never received a compliment when wearing my GMT Master II except from one of the guys at work(he's a watch nut as well). But I have received quite a few(3 or 4)when wearing my Aqua Terra(on a rubber strap none the less)which I bought this past summer...which is funny to me. Watches are to make you happy and most people think we're insane.
Totally correct on the Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic, Jenni. It's the piece in my collection that gets most comments from non-watchnerds. Amazing value.
Field watches are just great
Really? I have 1 and feel its very under the radar 😊
in my experience, watch nerds/enthusiasts are just happy/excited to meet another watch nerd in the wild lol. When I meet people through work, my Christopher Ward Trident, although not in the same price category as Rolex, Tudor, Omega, gets compliments from people wearing these expensive watches - if only because we share a love for watches.
Outside our bubble is another conversation. My Trident is my most expensive watch at about 1,100 (CAD), and people don't really care about the finishing or the movement, let alone the price. They are amazed at my blue dial Seiko DressKX (SRPE53) tho, especially when they see the see-through case back lol.
Well said. 👍
Yep, you're spot on.....finding a fellow watch nerd is a really treat. It is sad, but rewarding.
You are absolutely right. There's a collector's club with monthly meetings near where I live, and people bring everything from cheap Swatch watches to vintage Pateks; not to mention obscure vintage makes and models. As long as there's a watch, we're all off into "watchland", a strange and unkwown place as far as "normal" people are concerned.
When you develop the habit of looking at wrists, the cold reality that Apple's black featureless wrist computers are outselling all mechanical watch brands combined sets in.
Hi Jenni,
Great review as always. I do agree with you that Black Bay 41 and Explorer 36 are often overlooked watches. Especially in steel and gold 😊
I don’t think there’s a single Nomos I wouldn’t be happy with. Their design language is incredibly strong and reckgnisable, while stil looking classic, elegant and cool.
Great reviews! A really good variation of watches, something for everyone👍
A really entertaining video.Great presentation of some interesting watches.
My Navitimer with the applied gold wings and the 7-link bracelet. The blingiest classy watch of all.
The Rolex Explorer II Polar dial is the real deal on getting looks and compliments. Stunning masculine piece.
I passed on it years ago. Big regret.
I feel ya.....I ordered mine in OCtober...AD said expected delivery by april...cant wait..
@@eyeheartsushi2212
It is hideous
Nice to see that a few of your picks i already own❤🎉
The IWC portofino is a stunning watch!
My Orient Kamasu got a lot of compliments and people thought it was a luxury watch. So, I usually wear a Tudor BB S&G now, and nobody cares about it :D
Ive gotten the most compliments on my Seiko SNXS79K with the grey sunburst dial.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300m has become the standard corporate gift since Rolex isn't readily available anymore.
The Tissot PRX gets a lot of compliments, despite being under 1000$, it’s an amazing watch
I agree - I’ve had more compliments my green dial quartz PRX than Rolex. It’s sort of the perfect watch.
That and my Watermelon are the two that get the most comments despite being two of my least expensive
The mint PRX gets noticed more often than my 6 digit LV
I love the PRX, i have two of them. But they get a lot of hate too especially on reddit.
I can imagine "well done, you saved loads, you could have bought a good watch" 😂
I have wore a lot of different watches through the years. I received the most compliments from a Two Tone Blue Submariner I owned a few years back. I think people just loved the Blue color. Most never even knew it was a Rolex. I now wear an Omega Seamaster Professional in Black, and have gotten 1 or 2 compliments on it, but it was from watch lovers that knew what I was wearing.
I've received compliments for my Seiko 5 SRP421, CW Bel Canto green dial, & my Chronoswiss.
Essential video, thank you
The Hamilton Ventura. Even my baby wants to get hands-on with this alien fighting gadget.
I have an omega constellation 1999 auto, 34mm I think & it’s bi metal. Always gets compliments
I get many compliments on my Steinhart Ocean One vintage RED Diver Watch - I just love it!!
Got 3 of these on my list...so it's a good list
love seeing sinns
I own lots of watches. The only 2 that have received compliments consistently are Omega Speedmaster & Khaki Field Mechanical.
Only last week I had a comment from a work colleague who mentioned that she had an F-91W (that was on my wrist) when she was eight years old! The most comment's I've had are on my old JLC Reverso Duoface small seconds, usually from staff when I've popped into a watch dealer.
The PRX is just so good!!
I already have the Seiko that you mentioned. I would also like to have the Longines and the IWC, as I think they are both stunning watches. The one that I would add here is one that I have, which is the Breitling Navitimer. Sinn also makes a very, very similar watch and I would add that one to this list too.
My early 70's Seiko Pogue gets so many compliments.
Great content and thanks that you follow up your own interests ❤👍
and not the ones of the Rolex Fan Boy 😂😂😂
Got that Sinn a few years back...still love the minimalist design. That Explorer though... :)
I own a fairly robust watch collection and NEVER get comments/compliments on any of them. I’m perfectly fine with that. I prefer no one notice what’s on my wrist
Oooooh, that Longines GMT is absolutely stunning!
I have both a Bell n Ross BR123 Golden Heritage and a Tissot PRS 516. The Tissot has had so many compliments
Really good list
Omega Seamaster 300 and Rolex Submariner are my favorites !
My green dial Cartier Santos gets tons of compliments.
Rolex gets more compliments from people that know nothing about watches.
My Aqua Terra gets more from people who know watches.
They are both very nice, well made, machine made watches.
@@rickjason215 ... and you have no idea what Rolex he is referring to, lol
That’s what people who can’t afford Rolex say😂
@@jonodunn2592 Why bother, everyone has a 'rolex'. The waitress at the local chinese restaurant wears a 'rolex'. The doorman wears a 'rolex'. Many of my uber drivers wear a 'rolex'. LOL
@jonodunn2592 You realize there are Rolex's cheaper than Omegas right?
Why do you morons always say this same stupid line?
the black bay 58 black dial with gilt that i get complimented the most
I have gotten quite a few compliments on my Seiko SDS001(7002-7001), the predecessor of the Seiko SKX.
Made my day I have a few of them
Nice selection. The amount of times I have looked at getting the Sinn 556i is silly, it has been my screen wallpaper on my iphone and Macbook countless times, I have read avery review and yet I have never pulled the trigger thinking it'd be too small for my 7.5 inch wrist. It is a rue GADA watch and is a so called strap monster, with 200m WR to boot...fab, but there has always been the Damasko DS30 sitting in the wings as fine competition, with, if anything, better buils amd slimmer with a bigger face. I love some of the watches from your homeland and they represent true valuef or money. In the end, I have just recently bought a chronograph field homage watch that suits all my needs with 100m WR, an incredibly good domed sapphire crystal scewdown back/crown/pushers with 39mm case.....perfection as my daily wearer.
#1 by far for me is the Sinn EZM3, by far. No contest. Clean, strong, legible design, perfect size, classic clean face.
I’d have to guess I’m not around watch enthusiasts very often because the only one in my collection that achieves some recognition is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual DateJust
A great video and some lovely watches mentioned, as an owner of a Planet Ocean SeaMaster I can confirm they get a lot of comments. I have to say though that I am a little surprised/ disappointed that you haven't mentioned any of the Grand Seiko's. I know a few people with them and they always get attention - those that know, KNOW when it comes to GS., still a very good video which I enjoyed watching.
My favorite watch draws attention from watch enthusiasts…and quite a few jewelers when I take her in for a battery replacement! Many of them have been unfamiliar with the brand as I believe they are a small Swiss watchmaker: Maurice Lacroix and the make I’d the Divina (stainless/MOP). She’s such a looker and conforms beautifully to the wrist. She has smooth feminine curves, yet is substantial. I bought her years ago and love her to this day. If I were to change anything, it would be to have her in an automatic.
I enjoy seeing you so much lol
Chopard Alpine Eagle all day...that watch is just pure beauty.
Miss Jenni, Hi! A video possibility for those with smaller wrists. I thought I would never find a perfect tri-compax chronograph with a date. Smallest diameter I could find were 41 mm and a minimum of 14 mm thick. My Dear Wife of almost 50 years got me the 2023 TAG Carrera. 39 mm…..I got the blue one with the date at the 6:00. You and Mr. Jenni should go take a look. A 42 mm Sea Master just looks like a dinner plate on your slim wrist. I have a couple of 42’s in my collection but just a couple. Thanks for another fine vid!
Ever since I bought the Seiko speedtimer a few months ago, panda version, I get regular compliments even from people who don't give af about watches. It's such a strap monster too which is great.
That’s awesome to hear! My panda Seiko speedtimer arrived today!
@@patriciahartnett5238you'll love it. The bracelet is a little tricky to get a great fit because of the lack of microadjustments. However, sailcloth, rubber and nato straps all look superb on it!
For sure it is my orange Planet Ocean Chronograph that gets the^most attention and most compliments.
I wear a Speedmaster on a Forstner Komfit. Always gets looks from people, but not very many comments. My girlfriend tells me that I don't have the most approachable appearance😂
Great video and the camera quality is awesome! What camera do you use?
No answer for you. Haha 😄
That IWC and the green pale one, nicest
Great channel
Ulysse Nardin Maxi Diver, I always get a complement.
U-N is definitely under-appreciated
Love the Omega Seamaster, it's a real head-turner! 😍🕰️
As GMTs go, the Longines beats the hell out of the Tudor. The Tudor hits you in the face like a brick. The Longines is so much more subtle, balanced and sophisticated.
With those naff 5 stars on the dial 😂
my watches that recieved more compliments are my omega aquaterra,(former) tudor black bay 58 but in the oem nato strap and my rolex explorer II 225670
One of my less expensive watches gets most of the attention, Bulova Lunar Pilot on white / blue dial. Especially from non enthusiastic people. But I suspect this would happen with many other chronographs with contrasting dials and clean looks
Tag Heuer Monaco blue face. By far most compliments of all that I've owned.
7:59 Hard disagree on the portofino vs the master control. The indices on the IWC crowd the dial more, and the minute numbers around the edge feel more sporty than dress.
It’s a niche case, but I get the most compliments on my Boldr Field Medic 2 from other medical professionals when they see I can measure pulsations and respirations simultaneously with it. It’s the only watch I’ve seen with BOTH a pulsation and respiration ring on the dial.
Would love to hear if there’s another I’ve missed.
Plus, it’s titanium, which is good for getting knocked around in prehospital settings.
The 37mm Oysterflex Yachtmaster in Rosegold is my most complimented watch. Someone notices it almost every time I go out.
Tag Heuer Monaco should be number one on this list. It's iconic, and exclusively distinctive. Every single time I've worn my Gulf Ltd, somebody has commented on it. In reality, nobody would comment on virtually all the watches that you've itemised here, imo.
The nicest watch I have seen within my budget would have to be the 2 tone Rolex Sea Dweller. Hoping to get myself one before they are discontinued.
Great video. Interestingly, my Seiko SKX gets far more attention than my Seamaster. The red and blue bezel really pops I guess.
The Longine Spirit Zulu is a killer GMT for the price. Wears well, accurate. A Winner.
My Seiko 5 GMT gets a crazy amount of compliments when on the jubilee bracelet
The only watch I have on the list is the Hamilton. The most complements I’ve gotten on my watches are on my vintage dress watches. Have no desire to buy any of these watches. Still waiting to hear a Patek repeater in the wild.
I own quite a few watches of different various brands.
By far, the speedmaster and the white zenith elprimero
I believe you did nail most of the nicest appealing watches currently out there - however this list will change with fashions (e.g.: integrated bracelets that were a bog no-no through the 1990-early 2000s). Here are a couple more watches that have consistently garnered attention and compliments:
JLC Reverso - people ask about it and compliment it
ANY Cartier - especially the Santos (smaller models, though)
Breitling Chronomat (older model) - I have one with a burgundy dial and strap which never fails to get attention and compliments 🙂
Most Vintage Omega watches will just get looks and questions (but in a good way)
Thanks for this review
Agree, I was eating near an old man wearing a Chronomat green dial and I can't stop watching. Amazing
Always get compliments on my Oris Aquis
I have a Blancpain Air Command, Omega Aqua Terra, Rolex OP and a Longines spirit zulu time but none of them ever get any notice.
The piece I own that gets so many compliments it's actually unreal is...
My Sea-Gull 1963! 😂
Because it looks vintage
@@michaelstecyk7365 I definitely get what you're saying but the Blancpain looks as (if not arguably more) vintage than the 1963 and doesn't get the attention.
There's something more about the 1963 that just grabs peoples attention.
I’ve never had a compliment on any of my watches while out roaming. Would love to have a conversation with a stranger about the watch I’m wearing that day.
That Chopard looks like the love child of an AP Royal Oak and a Grand Seiko
There are 2 GS watches people have commented on that I wear. One more because they recognize it and the other because they think it's beautiful. Also a few comments on a black Seiko sarb.
I own 11 watches, all Hamilton. Hamilton is not a luxury brand, yet I've received compliments in some luxury environments. Inside a Tiffany's jewelry store. In Beverly Hills, on Rodeo drive.
For me the watch that I had quite a few complements/questions/conversations starters were from non-watch people? My Speedy Professional 1861. Contrary to belief that everyone owns a Speedy (I live in Chicago and travel to New York often). I never saw or noticed anyone else wearing a Speedy.
I went on a Disney cruise recently and numerous Staff, including the watch merchants, were very interested in my Omega Green World timer on a bracelet. Even the girl from Thailand handing out hand sanitizer wipes at the food court noticed the watch and asked me about it.
My B58 navy blue is my most recognized watch, my Seiko 5 Sports Brian May get the most compliments
Speaking of IWC, the Big Pilot gets a lot of compliments!
First day of wearing my blue dial 35mm quartz Tissot PRX was at a random party. 2 different random guys noticed the watch and started a conversation with me about the watch. The one guy with the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch just straight told me ''Nice watch!'' out of nowhere before talking to me. I am a little bit late into the PRX game and was surprised how attention grabbing the watch is despise it's small size (pretty sure it's the crazy reflective bracelet)
Hi Jennie, thanks for including my two favourite watch brands and models that I own.
I have the green Omega Seamaster which was my grail watch. I have many Seiko 5 & Prospex models but not the second one you displayed. Can you please give me the model number of that blue faced, light blue bezel model. Much appreciated,
regards,
Larry
Only the NTTD Seamaster and an homage piece on the Paul Newman have ever drawn praise. That Chopard 41mm is on my wish list.
I had the PRX Powermatic, never got a compliment. I got the chrono version, and I get compliments pretty much every time I wear it.
Tudor GMT ❤❤❤
I am surprised that I own 3 different watches from this video. Seiko 5 , Tissot PRX powermat 80 and the longines spirit Zulu time.
My omega swatch mission to earth is my most complimented watch by far
From people who dont know watches
😢
You are too cute, Jenni… Thanks for all your comprehensive reviews and observations!
My JLC Double Reverso gets the most love!
Love your content, Jenni! I could be wrong, but buying from established brands is too safe, imo. What about interesting microbrands? A Ming would also impress any watch-lover, right? Wearing a Helm nearly always gets you comments from watch-heads and divers. I could go on, but while I love some of your options (looking specifically at the Zulu time), I can find more local, and more interesting, watches...instead of the Zulu time, how about a Jack Mason Stratotimer? I'm pretty sure it's unique enough to catch the eye of any collector...
So true. It was a boring video. There are so many other choices and amazing watches, other than from well established brands!
Agreed. I have a Ming burgundy and it has received a few compliments.
All for one and one for all - 🙏
My compliment goes to Jenni for her stunning good looks ‼️ Forget the watches ‼️
"Cut! Jenni, I'm hearing 'Too-duh.' It's 'Tudor.' " Jenni: "That's what I said,'Too-duh.' "😁 I used to get compliments on my Rolex Day-Date in yellow gold, but it was mostly the Presidential bracelet that caught someone's eye.
